Lord Coake The Man Who Sold the World

Basically an RP where we play Imperial Guardsmen, kind of like an RP-only version of Only War, only with guardsmen from multiple regiments in the same squad. I'm imagining a kind-of Deathwatch-type organization, but for the Guard. A group of soldiers, selected from various worlds, to perform special operations in wargrounds, such as eliminating an enemy leader, or securing a special object. Any canon regiments would be automatically accepted, with a format to submit custom regiments for application. Any takers?

I like the concept, but not sure about the whole Deathwatch deal. That being said I kind of want to see how this turns out.

@caliban22the mention of Deathwatch was because we would be a group of guardsmen from different regiments from different worlds all pulled into one unit.

So we would effectively be a kill team? I'm cool with that. I'd only say Tanith shouldn't be allowed since they're kinda endangered and, even in canon, OP. xD

But you have my interest. :)

I'm fine with the idea of mixed regiments. Although it's a bit of a lore stretch, I can get why you would want to play something like this (more diversity between characters)

So yeah, I would really love to play this game, although litterally being a copy of the Deathwatch would probably be a bit boring. Maybe have the unit be a part of a commander/commissar's special forces unit or something like that? (Please no Inquisition T.T)

And finally I would agree with @Whoami that the Tanith shouldnt be allowed because of how few they are in number. I would also like to add the Death Korp to this list as they are not really known for being sociable and thus would only be interesting in combat scenarios, but not in the RP itself. But hey, that's just my opinion.

I would absolutely love to partake in this, but however I think we should allow Kriegers because who doesn't like these gasmasked guys I believe it will restrict our RP opportunities. I believe we should allow all regiment types in order to remain flexible.

I think Krieg should stay out of it. There are plenty of diverse canon regiments and plenty that are similar and more social than the Death Korps.

My comp was on a bit of a fit, Plus vacation. I'll have an OOC up sometime tonight/tomorrow. As for the regiments: I'd like to allow any and all, though if necessary, there'll be numerical restrictions placed if too many come from the same homeworld. Also, the intent of the group was a special forces under the direct command of a Lord General Militant operating in the Calixis(I know, but it's the most covered by source material) sector. The deathwatch comparison was just to emphasize the mixing of people from all across the guard.

We're still in the process of making CS's, I don't see the harm in doing that at least.
