THIS IS THE BLOODSPORT OF THE FUTURE

It's the year 2101, the world still abuzz with the turn of the century. You'll have your wars on the surface, your shifts of power, your economic recessions. But that doesn't stop you from having fun, does it? The human-race has pushed the bounds of space farther than ever before, with small colonies on both the Moon and Mars. Like seemingly all things, this space-faring technology found its way into public hands. And in 2076, the first piece of the Entertianment Globe was launched into the atmosphere and into orbit. Oribiting 251 miles above Earth at the blazing speed of 5 miles a second is the hub of all things pleasure. The first program originating from space in 2084 was also the first program to ever reach three spacial bodies, viewers from Mars and the Moon joined in on the fun.

The show?
Well, a documentary on how the place was made. Pretty cool stuff.

It wasn't until two years later in 2086 that Zero Gravity Fighting was founded. A new kind of bloodsport, a brutal kind, a fantastic kind. One that was truly modern. A revamped version of the classic fighting sports of Boxing and the UFC, with multiple modes, arenas, sometimes even multiple fighters in the Cube at once. They all have Propellant Packs strapped to their back for mid-space maneuvering, altough they only have a limited amount of charging. Sometimes there are floating obstacles in the Cube for fighters to bounce off of, or slam eachother into. Pinning and Submission are a thing of the past, these fights go until the objective is complete, or someone is knocked out. These fights all take place in the aforementioned Cube. The Cube is adjustable, sometimes its small, a 3-D representation of the "rings" of old times, altough it's maximum size is that of a building. The Cube also has smaller Cubes all around side for lower-ranking fighters to go at it. Spectators line all sides of the Cube, harnessed into place, cheering the fighters on. Gender equality in the 1st world reached it's absolute literal terms recently, the competition is open for women to participate in as well, and to fight with or alongside their opposite gender-counterparts. The show has never faltered in it's massive view count, and fighters are still in high-demand.

You've been living on the Entertainment Globe for three months, training, the same as all of your other soon-to-be competitors, and the world is eagerly awaiting the freshbloods debut matches. Welcome to Zero Gravity Fighting. Sign these wavers.

Modes of Play:

Knockout: Two fighters enter, one fighter leaves. Beat the tar outta the other guy. Look out for obstacles.

Team Knockout: A 2v2 match, beat the tar outta the other guys. If you get knocked out, a small vial inserted into your Propellant Pack will make sure you stay that way for the rest of the match, and you'll become another obstacle for your foes and remaning ally to use. So, try not to get knocked out.

Knockout Free For All: 1v1v1 or 1v1v1v1, depending on the match. Be the last fighter standing. Again, get knocked out, the vial puts you to sleep until the match is over.

Case Capture: A 1v1 match, grab the Case and bring it to the checkpoints (floating cubes marked with yellow) placed around the Cube. Bring it to more checkpoints than your opponent to win. Helmets are placed on competitors to try and deter knockouts, but no gurantees here. Get knocked out and the other guy still wins; It'll be an extra challenge through, so it's probably best to just knock them AWAY from you.

Team Case Capture: This is a fun one. Like Case Capture except it's a 2v2. Lot's of teamwork involved here. Get knockedout, become an obstable, altough again it's unlikely because of the helmets placed on the fighters.

Case Capture Free For All: This one is very similar to pure chaos. A game of violent keep-away. Same rules as always.
There are other modes in progress, but purely hypothetical at this point, with computer simulations often coming back with hang-ups that make it less entertaining, or rules that don't make sense.

Rules and Info:
Helmets are a fall face mask, made of generic padding. The cover goes over your mouth and the entire side and top of your head, leaving space only for your eyes.
I personally dislike biographies and personalities, I think it's much better for the roleplayer to make up their character as they go instead of being bound to a CS. That's why those are missing from the CS.
It likes like other arenas, just pick a chump or two to go up against and begin on a mutually agreed time.
Hey, don't worry. You don't need a personal monolouge each time you post, but you can if you want.
Fight to have a cool and entertaining fight, don't fight to win.
Make it LOOK like your character is trying to win.
When you attack, your opponent will decide if he or she gets hit or not. No one will take advantage of this system.
Be sure to take into account the environment around you. Slamming opponents into walls and obstacles is not out of the question.
Fights can be quick, fights can be long. You decide.
This is fiction. I know concussions would be a seriously big deal. We'll just chalk it up to space medicine and be done with it.
Feel free to have multiple characters. Although they won't be able to fight against or with eachother, of course. That'd be silly.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully, thanks for joining. I've wanted to do something like this since I read Ender's Game a few years ago.

Why the hell fight if not to win? Unless this is a story fight/role-play type of deal.
