Appearance:
Name:
Adira Lockwood
Race:
Vampire
Skill/Magic:
As a vampire she can use charm and illusion magic effortlessly to lull humans into a calm easily controlled state for a short time. As a full blood vampire she can withstand being in the day light for days before it takes enough of her strength to kill her.
Bio:
The only daughter of the king’s six children, Adira wasn’t even the first child of King Joffrey, but the youngest, with no shot at being in line for the throne. As the princess of the vampire of the kingdom Helilin, Adira was brought up to be a proper lady. Taught the proper way to dress, act, eat, and speak. For half of her life she was basically controlled by her mother’s desire to have the perfect daughter, and although this for most princesses would be a wonderful thing. To be spoiled with clothes and jewelry, never having to do anything for herself, for Adira it was hell. She after all was her father’s daughter, and found being a spoiled brat boring and unfulfilling….
As she started to mature into a young woman, the feeling of being forced to be the kind of person she wasn’t started to take its toll. First the depression came and then acting out towards her mother and even her brothers. Seeing his daughter so miserable he took her out and taught her to fight, she found it a stress reliever and started training between lessons. As the years passed she actually started to get to be a rather good fighter and although it bothered her mother beyond no end, she actually started to get good enough to at least hold her own against her brothers, even if she couldn’t win….
When the war between the kingdoms started Adira begged her father to let her join in the fight, after all there wasn’t a place for her in the castle as future ruler or even marring off to another kingdom anytime soon. It was her mother Genevieve who put a stop to her idea however, claiming that it wasn’t safe even if they won, her daughter could be hurt or worse killed. So as her father and brothers matched off to war, Adira was left behind with her strict mother. Whose first act of control was taking away she weapon, forbidding her to train claiming that a true woman didn’t fight with heavy swords but with her words and suggestion…
As much as Adira hated not to be allowed to fight in the war, it was for the best it seemed. Although their warriors returned victorious, the war had taken it’s took on their people. And they took not only the wolves slave but their Alpha as a trophy. Three of Adira’s brothers were killed in battle and her father was severely wounded. While Adira helped come up with a type of magic to make the wolves unable to change on their own free will, her mother worked her way into her father’s head as he healed…
Once Joffrey was fully healed he suddenly became worried about Adira’s safety and her willingness to fight, he also forbid her to fight, ordering that any sword caught in her hand be taken away. While she is still able to occasionally steal a sword off of her brother, armory, or even a guard, Adira has to hide her training and whatever swords she can get ahold of until her father comes to his senses.
