Biography: Sotoe was born to parents who are both part of Anti-Skill,. From a young age his mother and father taught him a few fighting skills to keep him safe but as all children Sotoe found his own way through the world and how to protect himself. He and his friends all seemed to pull towards parkour and soon they began free running through the city honing their skills in both parkour and free running. When he’s not running around the city jumping off everything he can find. His parents are teaching him a little of MMA, but Sotoe can’t get the grasp of the fighting style. His parkour skills help him maneuver and dodge most of the punches that are thrown to him, but he has a long way to go before he can even master MMA.

For the most part Sotoe and his friends play card games and board games, but their passion is in parkour and free running. However, for the past few weeks Sotoe and his friends have gotten into music. Since Sotoe as the voice of nails on a chalk board, he’s started to learn the guitar and when he’s not free running. He’s practicing with the guitar.

Sotoe isn’t a bad student, but his life style has him constantly looking out the window and day dreaming about running through the city and jumping off objects to preform moves that looked like the defy gravity. This leads to issues were he’s been yelled at and asked to pay more attention while he’s in class. Sotoe knows his parents what him to either join Anti-Skill, or Judgment but all Sotoe really wants is to be a professional parkour runner.

That, however, doesn’t stop Sotoe from sticking up for others who need it. When Sotoe see’s someone in trouble or someone needing help. He’s the first to jump in and isn’t afraid to take a punch to protect someone he doesn’t even know. Being a professional Parkour runner is his main goal. But protecting others is a close second for him.

Personality: Sotoe is a caring person who will put others before him and will try to resolve a conflict without fighting if he can. However, if it comes down to it, Sotoe will fight for others and protect anyone he thinks needs it. Sotoe considers himself a dare devil since he tries to free run through the city and parkour off anything and everything.

Sotoe can only change inanimate objects (Like cards, metal polls, rocks, etc.) composition, but not living things. He can’t change anything machine related so he can’t change the composition of weapons or cars. He was ranked as a Level 3 Esper.

Extras: Sotoe carries with him two decks of cards, his guitar, and his IPod to listen to music. However, he only carries his deck of cards when he is preforming Parkour and free running.

Biography: A large part of his rough and straightforward nature can likely be traced back to his place of birth, none other than New York, New York. For the first five years of his life, while his father worked a high-end position at a tech company out of the Big Apple, Shinjiro was a rough and tumble son of the closest thing America had to Tokyo, A first-generation Japanese-American in a nice, but still tough neighborhood. Standing out a bit with his asiatic heritage and small smatterings of Japanese mixed into his English (Thanks, mom), Shinjiro quickly found himself at the center of scraps that erupted from bullying. And he found that he took to them like a fish to water. Soon garnering a reputation as not one to be trifled with, up til first grade Shinjiro found himself making fast friends.

Then Dad had to move back home, and little Shinjiro was tossed into Tokyo, and the process started anew. Now brash and headstrong, he quickly made a name for himself by habitually standing up to any sort of bullying or injustice he'd seen, eschewing the guiding principle of "mind your own business" for "that shit ain't right, quit bustin' my balls". Soon enough, just as many tried to make a name for themselves off of him (especially after hearing he'd taken up karate to boot) as found themselves defending their egos against his casual lack of taking shit from anyone he disliked.

One tumultuous year later, and our boy'd found himself living in Academy City, having show great potential as a dormant esper. Living on his own for real for the first time, he admittedly found himself lost in the freedom of it all. After a couple years of finding his way, the boy with burning blood now is established and centered, a high schooler at Hybrid Academy, her fiercest fighter and her most stalwart hero!

Personality: Hotblooded, Whimsical, Brave, Blunt

Seemingly at ease with living purely in the now, it can be said that Shinjiro takes each day anew, not being one much for planning or fussing over the details. Fuhgeddaboutit! Each day presents new challenges anyway, so he really should just go with his gut and what feels right to face them! Always willing to throw himself into whatever piques his interest, his excitability and flexibility belie a wicked streak of stubbornness, an indescribable drive to come out on top. This is only pushed to even further heights when you factor in his complete confidence in his abilities, holding self-belief like none other that at times skirts the boundary towards arrogance. Part wannabe hero of justice, part complete smartass, and all unfiltered, what you see is what you get, and he'll never back down on it!

Kyokushin Karate! So much so that he joined the boxing club and got shown the door for kicking everyone in the head in the first day of sparring! With time and growing experience with punching faces as well as bodies, it's slowly starting to become Kickboxing!
Talking English! A Citizen of New Yooork~ New Yooooork~ until the age of 5, constant practice by writing and calling old friends from Japan has allowed him to naturally master two languages!
Not studying! Time away from parents in Academy city has made him a masterful procrastinator!

Ability: Whereas most espers externally control the elements, Shinjiro's power comes from within in the form of Burning Blood! Able to naturally control his body temperature by exciting his bloodstream, he uses 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit as a standard, everyday operating setting, but is capable of overclocking it from there! This produces the effect of raising his body temperature to heights of 1000 degrees, hot enough to weaken steel beams on contact!

Special Skills:

Heat Haze! All humans radiate some body heat, and Karasawa has weaponized it! With a combination of heat coming off of him in waves and steam emitting from the same pores that normally would produce sweat, at high body temperatures the air around him seems to thicken, shimmer, and feel oppressively heavy and warm! Can be used to wear enemies down, keep friends warm, or even evade red light cameras by muddling the picture (not yet tested, but in theory possible)!

Burning Charge! With an excited and hot bloodstream running faster than any normal man's oxygen is ferried at a much faster rate to Shinjiro's muscles when he's running hot, providing a boost in endurance and strength!

Disadvantages: At his highest temperatures, Shinjiro's Heat Haze becomes so oppressive and intense that it's both immediately dangerous to most others within short distances (roughly 35 feet), and it begins to hamper his own vision through the sheer thickness of the air around him, as if suddenly giving him nearsightedness. Additionally, his own temperature at a full blast of 1000 degrees often lead to things he touches getting burned of scorched, as he has no way to selectively transfer the energy.

As a result of these factors, he is found running at a nothing higher than a mild fever in his day-to-day life, and must choose the moments when he can turn up the heat carefully based on his surroundings.

Magic: None, 'cause that stuff's weird and he's an esper anyway.

Biography

Bang is a particularly simple person. He hails from a small home in Virginia, where he initially attended school before taking boxing classes. As he took boxing classes, he discovered that his physical limits were able to be pushed to admirable heights. Though he did not believe that he would be able to participate among prodigies who were either stronger or smarter than him, both his friends and family believed that he would be able to attend a school that better fit his boxing prowess.

Before his parents decided on which school they would send him to, Bang trained and continued to raise the bar of his strength. Though his intelligence was slightly above-average, his fists proved to make him a potential candidate in not only boxing, but also as a fighter in general. During a temporary visit at Japan, after several performances against highly-skilled boxers much older than himself, his parents discovered just the right school for him to enter.

The Hybrid Academy proved to be quite different from what Bang was used to live with. Though he certainly did not think that he would be shooting around fireballs like a Dragon Ball character any sooner, he decided to choose it as the school he had been looking for. Whether or not he made the right choice is up to his decisions during his years at the school.

Personality

Straightforward and furiously aggressive in working towards goals he wants to accomplish, Bang has little to win and little to lose. Raised within a very gentle town, he lacks the cruelty to randomly use his own strengths against the defenseless, yet he is willing to face those who challenge him. He has a very dumb sense of humor and speaks up mostly when he needs to. He is quiet when he feels like staying out of troublesome-looking business. Bang seems to enjoy interacting with unique people, but does not seem to hate others for being bland or average. He, however, dislikes bland objects or characters in fictional media for some odd reason. Bang is definitely not the completely silent type, but he could be so awkward with words that he is sometimes better off remaining silent. He does not consider highly of himself but still aspires to become stronger and smarter through school.

He looks up to Magicians, Espers, and Gemstones alike. Strangely enough, he does not have a great sense of justice, making him not the most ideal choice for a hero that could furiously work to face those who harm the innocent compared to others... but when trouble is brought up to his face, he will usually respond with either his words or his fists.

The young pugilist lacks far-ranged weapons of any kind by default, and even when he stands right in front of his foe, he requires absolute focus on who he is facing. His lack of magic powers ultimately keeps him unbelievably alert; whether he manages to follow his alertness is up to him. Depending on his opponent, Bang is either extremely offensive with high speed and mobility or defensive to the point where he could punish crucial mistakes with few powerful attacks.

Biography:
Born to an American gang leader and a Yakuza princess, Anderson’s life has but full of crime and sin since he was born. Raised in Las Vegas for the first half of his life, he has learned how to gamble and cheat like it’s the back of his hand. At the age of eight, his father was killed in a street fight against a rival gang and Anderson was smuggled away to Japan where he was to live with his mother.

Although she is a tough Yakuza princess whose beauty betrays her intentions, she is very motherly towards Anderson and very supportive in his goals. She taught him how to fight and how to shoot a gun amongst other skills like coercion. When Anderson started to build his own criminal empire, his mother granted him a pocket watch that was actually a magical device, making become a magician in a way.

Anderson has recently transferred into Academy City for two reasons: 1)to make money off of the naïve students of the city and 2) to grow his criminal empire. He cannot be touched by Judgement and Anti-Skill after he successfully blackmailed the heads of each organization, much to the annoyance of the law enforcement. Although he is leader of a criminal gang, his actions are fairly tame considering the actions of other gangs, mostly staying in the realm of blackmail, information dealing and fraud.

Personality: While acting antagonistic, Anderson is a good person at heart, always making sure his gang’s member are happy, he does legitimately care for even the people around him as long as they are not openly hostile although he will often cover up his kindness with some dark excuse. He is incredibly charismatic and gladly exploits it to his advantage in gaining people’s trust. He also tends to be secretive, always having an ulterior motive that no one can quite pick out and headstrong/cocky as if he controls the world (which in some aspects he does).

Magic: Time Slow: The power that is embedded in the pocketwatch he got from his mother; the world moves to the beat of Anderson, allowing him to move at normal speed while everything else is slowed, giving the impression he is moving faster. It can only be to slow a maximum of thirty minutes a day and rests at midnight. Dispute its potency, Anderson tends not to use this very often in favor of more traditional “methods”. His left eye also glows red maroon when he uses this ability.

- The name of the gang he leads is “Coercion” and it deals in information trading and its large informant network. Anderson claims he has agents everywhere, even in Judgement and Anti-Skill but as no one has proven it. Either that or his agents are really just as good as he claims.
- He is noted to be both an excessive gambler and really lucky, so he wins nearly all his bets.
