[here is my villain, i haven't finished her character sheet yet but i am posting this to show you all what type of villain i plan to use.

Character You Would Like to Play: The Matriarch

Real Name: Lillian Merle Corvus

Canon or OC: canon

Character Alignment (Hero, Villain, or Walking the Line): villain

Appearance/Costume:

Origin/History of Your Character: When Lillian Corvus was a little girl, her parents called her “Lily”. She was a bright, happy child who delighted in playing in the park and watching the clouds. Yet as she grew older, she began to long for more. For power. She did not want people looking at her and thinking, or even worse, saying, “Aw, how cute!” Lillian wanted to be feared and respected! Tired of hearing about “how a young lady should behave” and “you should behave more like your very successful cousin”, she rebelled. She began writing dark poetry and allied herself with a group of teenagers that called themselves The Undead Poet Society. When not lounging about in coffee shops or glaring at shoppers in the mall, she spent her time going from antique stores to flea markets, looking for exciting, shiny things.

During one of her outings, she bought an old feathered masquerade mask from a tiny curiosity shop. Upon donning the mask, she felt the ebon feathers ruffle against her face, and could instantly sense some great presence in the sky. Reaching out her hands, she attempted to pull the force towards her, and the sky erupted in a cacophony of caws and shrieks as ravens filled the air. Panicked, she flung her arms outward, and the birds responded, ringing out around her. She found she could control the birds, directing them wherever she wished. Reaching further still, she felt their thoughts, sensing through the birds the very world around them.

Lillian was no more - now, she was The Matriarch! Finally, she had the power she’d craved, and she would gain fear and respect through a reign of terror! she eventually found the Staff of Aves which increased her powers greatly and made her even more dangerous. the staff is made from enchanted metals that are said to be indestructible. she now is trying to find the legendary Thunderbird and Firebird which would make ever more powerful with their elemental might. once she has the powerful birds, she will then try to turn the United States into her own kingdom.

Powers and Abilities (If Any):
controlling all types of birds.
telepathic communication with all forms of birds
Superhuman strength
Channeling Strength: she can draw from the strength of birds to give herself superhuman strength and heal. she is also able to empower birds to make them stronger.
Flight
Ornithophobia: this power allows her to make her enemies deathly afraid of birds, but it requires concentration and she must overpower her opponent's will.
Flock of Crows: this ability allows her to change into a flock of crows as ether a form of defense or a way of confusing her enemies.
Bird Senses: she can have all the powerful senses of any type of bird.
mental connection: with this power, she can see through the vision and hearing of birds like having multiple pairs of eyes and ears.
Bird Cry: this ability allows her to create a ultrasonic scream which can shatter glass and is very painful to those that hear it.

Weapons:

Supporting Cast (If Any): her birds

Other: you don't want to mess with her or her birds.

Sample Post: the air was cold and ominous as the night drew on. the crows set in the trees of a park that was located the city, and a group of gang members were looking about for their adversary. their victim was The Matriarch, or at least that is what people called her. she was said to be a dangerous super villain who could control birds. upon hearing this, the gang all laughed, what dangerous villain would have such pathetic powers they thought. they foolishly believed that they would be able to easily kill The Matriarch. the reason for them going against were because she wanted to control their city and make her kingdom which got in the way of their ambitions. they decided that they would just have to kill her like many others who had gotten in their way. but this was a horrible mistake, for The Matriarch had known they were in the park the moment they stepped foot in area. she had seen them through the eyes of her crows, and she smiled at how easy it will be to kill the weaklings like the bugs they are.

the thugs went deeper into the park and made their deaths ever more certain. they looked around for her, but The Matriarch would not allow herself to be seen. she would kill these worms with ease. she channeled her strength into the birds and had them go on the attack. all she heard then was the agonized screams of the gang who had been stupid enough to think of The Matriarch as common nuisance. the birds tore the scumbags apart as their powerful beaks ripped into human flesh thanks to the power that The Matriarch gave them. soon the screaming stopped and The Matriarch knew that the gang was no more. she walked to where the carnage was and smiled at the work of her fabulous birds. some day she would have more than just her home city or America as her kingdom but also the entire world.

Accepted! Can't wait to start making puns for her and the birds. I'm sure that they'll "flock in" by the dozen

Yes, I'm parodying the fact superheros make cringe-worthy jokes sometimes.

Yeah but superhero rps do not always last long if there are no villains to fight. I join superhero rps to create cool heroes and use them to go on cool crime fighting advthenentures. Also when you beat a villain quickly then it makes it seem rushed

Yes, but also this was the first technical "villain encounter", making it the easiest. Think of it like a boss battle, where the main guys can be taken down much easier. That's why I chose more commonly known villains for the Sinister Six (save Goblin Queen), but I get what you're saying. I personally wrapped up Spidey a lot faster because there's only four things I could write over and over again:

Shoot webs.

Punch Goblin/Electro

Green Goblin laughs and throws Pumpkin Bombs

Electro laughs and fires out electricity.

That being said, I'll defiantly have more in depth and fully fleshed out fights in the future, but this starting point is just to introduce our characters and establish "Hey, these are the good guys beating up the bad guys!" And "Look! Its the bad guys beating up the good guys!"

Trust me, once we get further into the plot, villains will become harder to beat and often will require many heroes wailing on them in order to be defeated.

Name: Scipio Kathar

Alias: Abaddon

Powers/Abilities:
1) Advanced Symbiosis- Scipio is strongly bonded to a creature known as a symbiote, providing him with greatly enhanced physical, mental, and perceptive abilities. He is granted extremely sharp and tough claws and fangs, and due to his advanced bond, has the ability to alter the symbiote's composition to create extra limbs and appendages, weapons, and shield. Inclusively, Scipio can alter his own being to become that of the natural, amorphous form of the symbiote. There is the added benefit of moderate regeneration as well, but if the wounds are extremely grievous, more time and even outside help will be needed to recover quickly. Due to previous bonds with different life forms, the symbiote grants more benefits such as the ability to create powerful acids and pathogens, immunity to disease and strong resistance to poisons or other agents, and reliable protection against possession or unwanted mental influences.

2) Forbidden Knowledge- Supernatural knowledge acquired from summoning and defeating dark beings of different realms, this area of power can pretty much be considered dark magic by those learned in the arcane. Sought out by Scipio to better combat against supernatural threats or those who can bend the elements or other energies to their will, he can produce a powerful magic which can potentially obliterate a target and deteriorate energy-based or magical projections and barriers. Though the magic is mostly offensive, it can take on more passive and defensive roles, particularly the aura Scipio casts about himself to defend against powerful magics, energies, or stronger than normal attacks.

Weaknesses:
Abaddon is weak to intense sound and heat, as these are the natural weaknesses of a symbiote. Since the symbiote and he have developed such a strong bond, and because Scipio has introduced the foreign energies of dark magic into his being, they must feed periodically to ensure the best consequences for themselves. Long periods of time gone without feeding results in a more feral and crazed Abaddon, and eventually his strength begins to dwindle. Strong surges of electricity also do not sit well with him.
Due to the relation with dark magic, there also comes to the drawback of being significantly more weak to forms of light magic.

Appearance(s):
Human:
http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/030/a/7/the_usurper_king_by_soulspade-d5tb6b5.png

Symbiote: As Abaddon, Scipio's appearance changes drastically and looks nothing short of a demon. The body is mainly black in color, but it is adorned with streaks and patterns of crimson and gold. He bears razor sharp fangs and claws, and now has several tendrils sprouting from his back. Additionally, a second large mouth opens up on his torso. There are a few protruding bone spikes on his shoulders and knees, and one blade like protrusion coming from both of his elbows. Abaddon's stance is also more feral and savage to allow for an easy transition from walking on twos to walking on all fours.

Personality: I'll be playing this out in the RP, no need to put it here.

Background: In truth, Abaddon's origins weren't all that extraordinary. He grew up in a nice house with a good family that almost always had enough to spend on things other than the necessities (bills, clothing, food, etc), and his school and athletic achievements were admirable. However, there was always a feeling of envy and longing inside Scipio's heart, because whenever he looked at the Metahumans, he felt... inferior. He hated his limitations on his mind and body, and frankly would have given anything to cast off his humanity and become something more.
Sometime later, the symbiote to which he is now bonded to came along in search of a human host. Drawn to Scipio's thoughts of change, it offered itself unto him, an offer which Scipio gladly took by providing the symbiote a gash on his body to enter and form a strong bond with him. After that, a lot of the changes he desired came forth. Since then, he has often functioned as an anti-heroic entity, doing as he pleased but still providing justice and vengeance to those he felt needed it.
The "Forbidden Knowledge" came as a result of Abaddon battling and narrowly defeating a powerful dark mage. Having crushed his opponent's will, Abaddon forced him to yield his knowledge and secrets. This was still unsatisfactory though, and using the arcane dark knowledge, Abaddon performed a twisted ritual, spilling the blood of the mage to summon a powerful entity from which to gain more knowledge from. There was a cycle of summoning, subjugation, and learning, one which still goes on today in Abaddon's seemingly endless hunger for more knowledge.
Eventually, Abaddon was able to perform the feat of plane-crossing and cross directly into the ethereal realms. Here is where he defeated several powers, and also where he began constructing his own realm of Sheol by merging and annexing each conquered together to create something more expanse and twisted.

Alignment: Anti-Villain. Abaddon is typically seen as a villain by other heroes due to his actions and motives, but he is also seen as an enemy by other villains due to his willingness to crush them.

Well, the powers listing includes knowledge that the base human wouldn't have. I'm wondering if there's anything else on top of it.

Also, my WIP character:

Character You Would Like to Play: Iron Man

Real Name: Rosalie Appleby-Stark

Canon or OC: OC

Character Alignment (Hero, Villain, or Walking the Line): Hero

Appearance/Costume: Out of costume. And in costume.

Origin/History of Your Character: Tony Stark's illegitimate daughter. For most of her life, neither she nor her father had the faintest clue they were related--though not knowing of him would be rather... hard, to say the least. In fact, her mother only told her once she was certain that Rosalie was old enough to not go and do something stupid.

So she went and did something stupid: work out how to contact him immediately, then go through with it. However Rosalie pulled it off... it worked. To the extent of being recognised as his legal heir in the absence of anyone else.

That was not, however, why she got her hands on the suit. To put it simply: her body is a mess. A series of infections got out of hand, and whilst she recovered, plenty of damage was done. Now, who has armour designed to be worn for long periods of time, and that can be repurposed into something more generally supportive? That she has the rest of it is more of a testament to forgetting to strip out that kind of function first...

Iron Man has been seen almost twice as often recently, many times in two places at once. She hasn't been called out on it... yet.

Powers and Abilities (If Any):

Weapons (If Any): I have no idea what version of the armour this is supposedly based on. :p

Supporting Cast (If Any):

Other:

Sample Post (must be a minimum of 2 paragraphs with at least 2 lines of dialogue from your character):

So if your character takes a hit from a super strong being like Superman or a super charged Matriarch will his symbiote take damage?

But the Symbiotes haven't been introduced yet, so you'll have to meddle around with the character before becoming Abbadon.

Can't we just assume he bonded some time before the RP? Because if he doesn't have the symbiote, he wouldn't have acquired the other powers. If he doesn't have those it completely screws the purpose of the villain.

i say we should have the symbiotes be already introduced so we know their weaknesses and how to beat them.
