Major events of our story

Prior to Our Role Play's Beginning:

• July 2020: A Doctor with a US Army Biological Weapons program intentionally infects himself with a pair of viruses which begin to mutate into a single, deadly virus.
• August: Once contagious, Patient Zero sets out on a cross country trip. He infects thousands, who then infect thousands more.
• September: By the time the disease is identified, the number of infected is rising exponentially.
• December: Millions are already dying each day.
• Some infected people are immune.
• Others become homicidal cannibals, attacking and eating other people like mad dogs.
• Because of this, the Press dubs the disease "Rabies 2.0", or just "R2".

What has happened during our story:

• November 2020:
  
  
  
  • Martin Winters, anticipating a plague, locks himself within his new commercial building, The Wheelhouse. He is alone, for now. With the restaurant, coffee shop, and other retail businesses well stocked, he is sitting pretty ... EXCEPT that he doesn't have enough of his presciptions to last more than a few weeks.
  • Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones, now the last living doctor at a medical offices building we will simply call "Good Sam", orders the building secured. Once the Infected either die and are discarded, prove to be Immunes, or become Crazies (which the rabid, maniacal cannibals are called) and killed, Lizzie is accompanied by 12 Immunes. They will run out of food in just days. Ironically, Lizzie has the prescriptions Martin needs.
