That one is a very grey area but because it excludes non-identical weapons it may be balanced enough. Basically, you can't have two named weapons. Kirito had two rare swords but they weren't identical. This skill is far inferior because it pretty much excludes every weapon that isn't either vender bought or common crafted. In a game like Diablo, this skill wouldn't even allow magic weapons because their attributes are random.

It requires that every attribute of the two weapons be identical. Durability is the only exception. The moment you try to enhance or modify one to change an attribute then you can't dual-wield them anymore.

The drop system was never really explained in SAO though. Weither they had procedurely generated weapons that, even with the same name, had different stats, or if they had thousands of weapons that dropped, but duplicates where identical.

This lack of information gives us some leeway. For example, the best weapons are likely similar to the best skills. They're unique. The next rank down probably have at least a few variations and low drop odds. That would mean that this skill would exclude the use of the top two ranks of weapon right off the bat. It could even be modified to exclude anything over a certain rarity.

To be honest the skill seems like it would be not so good in the long run as the best gear will probably be player made (it is a game world designed to host hordes of people for god knows how long it was originally intended. SAO wasn't so much a game as it was created to be a functioning world, would make sense for the best stuff to come from other players as otherwise many would be out of a job if npc weapons were better etc)

I'm not saying whether it should be included or not, just specifying that technically as a skill it's very limiting and restricts you from good gear.

Enhanced aim: Accuracy bonus to bows

Precision: Weapons have higher critical chance

Cleave: Weapons strike additional targets behind original target

Unguarded: Bonus damage to 1-h weapons if not using a shield or offhand

Flame touched: Sword art skill uses fire damage
Sword art skill has passive cleave for duration

Thunder touched: Sword art skill uses Thunder damage
Sword art skill has a chance to cause [Paralysis]

Frost touched: Sword art skill uses Ice damage
Sword art skill slows attack speed / movement speed by 20%

I had intended it to be that blacksmith items such as armor had 50% better armor value, and 50% weapon damage based on current blacksmith level.

Could also have some high level skills that give a small chance to use no matierals when crafting/upgrading, and some stuff like that.

It's better to have a short post with what you need, than a really long post where four paragraphs are dedicated to one's own perception of how a potato tastes like. It might pad out a post, but it does nothing for anyone reading.
