Like, to me, I don't give a fuck. Even if it ends up being a so-so movie, still an excuse to eat popcorn and drink too much soda so that I have to plan a tactical piss. And if it ends up being great... well, that'll be sweet.

But I have faith they'll pull something decent off. We had Mad Max this year. Good things can happen.

I don't do the midnight showings or any of that shit because I am just not that organized. People have to be off of work, the weather has to be nice, I have to be awake... so the stars will align before I see it. Still, it's fucking Star Wars, so I'm sure I'll get to it in the first week or two, assuming Christmas doesn't derail things.

I was *this close* to Imax 3D at 7:00 ET. Would've been the best and first showing.... but the internet hates me, and timed out while reserving my center-ish seats. So instead it's gonna be 7:30 in regular 3D. So lame.

Edit -- HAHA, snagged it! Website came back up later, after everyone gave up. Only ten other tickets sold when I got mine.

I try for the midnight/opening weekend rush, because movie producers care about those numbers a lot. Every opening-weekend dollar makes it much, much more likely for movies like that to be made more in the future -- so if it's a franchise or genre or director or whatever that you want to see more of, you should vote with your money.

Then again, Star Wars really isn't in any danger of losing its funding, so NBD.

^ It is next to impossible for this movie to not be a financial success. They could announce that they've taken a different approach and every role will now be played by Nicolas Cage, and theatres would still be packed.

I will be buying the movie and then fast-forwarding through any scenes that do not involve Han Solo and Chewie, plot be damned.

This got me thinking... Where's Luke? Like, we see him once in the trailer where he looks down, kinda depressed and only his mechanical arm showing. However, we see Han Solo a lot in the trailers. And when we look at the poster, guess who's missing?

Indeed, I dont see a Mark Hamill in there either, yet we still see Leia and Han.

So here's a crazy theory of mine. That masked guy, the bad guy with his broadsword lightsaber... I think that's Luke.

I ofcourse dont know if it's true or not. I just thought that both this scene from the new trailer, plus him lacking in the poster while Han and Leia are in there... That this theory might actually not be as far fetched as it might seem at first glance.

Please tell me what you think about this :)

Yes, we do see Luke in that one shot. However, that could just be a flashback as to when he would turn to the Dark Side, as the scene does not really look that upbeat.

But as I said, it's just a theory.

What isnt a theory though is that the Mandalorians are definately going to play a role in this movie.

At ~1:38 you can see that fortress-like building with all the banners hanging up there. If you look straight above the door between the flags then you can see the symbol of the Mandalorians painted on the wall... And I dont think that's just a mere easter egg.

The Chrome Trooper is played by Gwendoline Christie... Who is better known as Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones.

I am actually hoping that we're gonna see Boba again... Now that would be awesome :3
