I will accept this invitation... How long do I have to post CS...?
@drallinix The weakness is fine but he will still need to be incapacitated for battles sake, I'm fine with him not canonically 'dying' but he will need to be able to take damage in the traditional sense when fighting. I'm happy to approve the Lich if you add this in his description. For example he may not 'die' after being hacked in two by a battle axe, but he wont be able to continue fighting and will lose the fight.
The 2nd character is too modern for this setting as previously mentioned. We are aiming for swords, sorcery, mythology and demons.
I'd like to participate. :)
Sheet: roleplayerguild.com/posts/3099055
Name: Caterinaa lithisis
Age: 13.82 billion years
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 100 lbs
Race: *~ Cosmic Vampire of Darkness ~*
Weapons:
Luna - 10' silver scythe (4' blade) with salty blood eternally flowing down it's barbed blade. As it swings at the speed of sound, howls from the old cosmic horrors Cat has slain are heard. Blood whips out from it as it swings. If this ancient blood enters into another's bloodflow, it rips away at the healthy blood cells and hemoglobin, quickly causing Anemia in mere seconds.
Armor:
Cat's silver barbed armor is much like a black rose. Beautiful but dangerous to touch. It can defend against magic. The boob window and a small part of Cat's right pauldron reveal Cat's porcelain skin.
Physical Abilities/Skills:
Reflexes/speed - Peak of human capabilities but Cat can release extreme bursts of speed (the speed of sound) when attacking/provoked. This ability can tire Cat out after prolonged use.
Endurance - Peak of human capabilities naked. Silver armor helps with taking the blows. Cat relies more on the quick reflexes though.
Strength - Imagine a jet hitting you at full speed. But that jet is as sharp as a surgeons scalpel laden with salt.
Magic/Special Abilities:
Eyes of Dark Insanity - Looking into Cat's eyes for longer than 5 seconds causes rapid mental degradation to the looker, driving them insane with horrific visions and rendering their movements uncontrollable.
Deep Eyes - Cat can see through obstructions, the dark, and blinding light.
Blood Drain - Cat can drain blood with the razor sharp teeth, healing and restoring energy.
Weaknesses:
Boob window - Cat's chest is exposed to some degree because of reasons unknown.
Immortality - Cat can't die as Cat is imortal. Cat, no matter how mutilated, will reassemble on the molecular level, though this can take hours if Cat's body has been shredded.
Background:
Nothing is known of Cat's background aside from the fact that Cat was alive to see the creation of the universe and what created it, though Cat never tells.
Personality:
Cat is solemn and reserved, rarely speaking in the off-putting unknown accent of Cat's voice. Even in combat, Cat typically walks a leisurely speed to reserve energy for her devestating attacks. That is, until pushed to Cat's limits, when Cat will thrash out in a manic blood lust.
Cat has been a parent to many children in the past but on their 1st month in our realm, Cat devours them as Cat knows they will grow to become cosmic horrors due to an alleged mysterious curse placed on Cat.
I've looked at the other characters, and they don't seem at any innate disadvantage. He cannot phase through solid matter, and he cannot move at the speed of thought in q combat setting, as it says so directly on the sheet.
Edit: Re-reviewing the other sheets, I see Metatron is a bit higher level. This seems low-mid, whereas meta was designed for med-high.
Hello.
Very new here (though not to roleplay in general), so I can understand if you don't want me in this... however, it seemed like an interesting thread to dip my toes in, to get a taste of this particular forum.
Name: Sirena Imogen
Age: 22
Height: 5'7''
Weight: 147 lbs
Race:
Class: Swords-mistress
Appearance:
Weapons: Ten swords:
- One rapier
- One katana
- One claymore
- One estoc
- One zweihänder
- Two hook swords
- One khopesh
- One scimitar
- One urumi
Physical Abilities/Skills: Imogen is in excellent physical condition, though does not posses supernatural levels of strength or speed. She has been trained in a wide variety of combat styles, specifically those involving the use of swords, as well as the principles of focus and mediation. Very agile and flexible.
Magic/Special Abilities: Imogen has telekinetic control over her swords (the ten listed, other swords are safe). She can levitate them and move them around with ease, though their speed and the force behind them is around the same as if she were wielding them herself. Multiple swords can be controlled at once this way. She is also aware of their position: even if she can't see them, she'll know pretty much exactly where they are.
She also has the ability to recall them at will. When she recalls a sword, wherever it was previously, it will immediately appear in her hand (or hands). However, a sword cannot appear like this if she is already holding something. To trigger this ability, Imogen grasps at the air, moving her fingers as if she were taking hold of that particular weapon.
Weaknesses: She wears only cloth, no armor. Physically, she is a baseline human, which makes her quite vulnerable. She tends to rely on blocking and evasion for defense.
Also, while her swords are sharp, they can't cut through anything. Armor and shields can make for effective defenses if used well.
Background:
The Sirena clan, goddesses of war. Each one is raised by her mother and aunts, and trained in the martial arts from a very young age. Gradually, they specialize in a certain kind of weapon, be it bow, spear, or sword. Once their training is complete, at the age of fifteen, they are sent out into the world on their own, as novice mercenaries.
They wander, fight, and earn their pay with their legendary skill, honing their abilities to ever-greater heights. Eventually, when one reaches the peak of her skill, she will seek a man worthy of her respect, and bed him. When a Sirena falls pregnant, the child is always a daughter, and as soon as she is born, the mother will leave her partner and return home for the first time, to raise her offspring as a new warrior. Thus the cycle continues.
Occasionally, however, there is an exception. One Sirena, a mistress of the dagger and throwing knife, found love in a strange man, a weaver of magic both powerful and ancient. He gave her a daughter named Imogen, and she took the child to her clan, as she was meant to do.
But it soon became clear that there was something different about this one. From her earliest days, Imogen demonstrated flashes and bursts of arcane power, a strange magic she had inherited from her father. Many clans might have feared this- but the Sirena saw an opportunity. A chance to forge the greatest weapon in the history of their noble lineage.
And so they trained Imogen, pushed her harder than any other. Not only did they teach her the mastery of her body, and of every kind of sword, but also of her magic. She learned to infuse it into her weapons, make them an extension of her will, deadly steel birds that would fly wherever she willed them to. Upon this young girl were piled the greatest of honors- and the greatest of expectations.
When the time came for her fifteenth birthday, she was a capable fighter, ready to go out into the world and carve her legend upon its history. But there remained one final trial. For the Sirena clan had no use for the weak and the old, and thus, one final obligation had to be fulfilled before Imogen could leave.
She was to duel against her mother, to the death.
Should Imogen win, she would become a full member of the clan. Should her mother win, she would become a matriarch, one of the few elders who had bested their daughters and held authority over all of the Sirena. Only the strong would survive, and earn greatness.
When the duel began, Imogen's mother struck out ruthlessly, aiming with all her skill for the throat of her own daughter. But her attacks were effortlessly parried, her daggers knocked aside. But Imogen would not kill her.
Instead, the young warrior left, slaughtering all among the Sirena who tried to stop her. She would not bend to their cruel rules and vicious cycles. She would forge her own path in the world.
And so she did, becoming one of the deadliest warriors her world had ever seen. Until one day, she received an invitation, a challenge unlike any she had heard of before, a chance to prove herself as a warrior greater than any of her vicious ancestors.
