Spring. What a beautiful time of the year. A time, where life flourishes, and nature's wild and calmed beauty is shown clearly and fully once more, after three seasons of lively heat, peaceful passings, and mysterious cold. In Spring, beauty and life can be found everywhere. One of the more notable places being the Mountain Monastery. On it, life flourishes, and the monks live their peaceful lives, thinking that no true danger would come to their home.

...Of course, we can't have them living a lie. True danger can appear anywhere at anytime. It's just a matter of importance, circumstance, and maybe even a bit of boredom. For Girania, it was all three. She wanted to try out a new little technique she created and experiment with it a bit, but she needed some volunteers to assist her. One of her former assistants had been sharing a rumor about monks being strong, powerful individuals with calmed minds and unmatched skill in the martial arts, so she decided to see if they were good enough to help her.

They weren't.

When Girania had initially arrived, she descended down to their monastery grounds. They had simply surrounded the winged woman. She had attempted to use words to get them to assist her, but they had declined. Disappointed, she needed something lift her spirits. So, she decided to help them. She used her Pyromancy to cremate the body of one monk who had died that day. Out of respect for their bond to the man, she she'd a single tear as she spread his ashes across the wind.

Then the strangest thing happened! The monks, who she had helped not a moment ago, had attacked her! She tried to plead them to stop, but it was as if they had gone mad! She managed to evade their attacks, but she just couldn't understand why they attack her. And they kept it up, too. They kept circling and charging, and throwing kicks and punches and swipes and swings at her. Her confusion simply grew as they continued. Then, as if attempting to overtake what was happening, another strange thing happened. They all fell to the ground. Silent.

...

Let's face it. In reality, Girania didn't need volunteers, but subjects that she could experiment on. It is true that she cremated a monk that had died that day, but he was very much alive before she sent a small pebble-sized fireball right through his body, burning through the poor man'a heart. It is also true that she had cried when she spread his ashes, although it was not a single tear that fell from her face, but several that flowed from her eyes. Girania couldn't help it. She found it funny how quickly she turned the corpse to ash. She hadn't done something like that in so long, she had forgotten how simple it was!

The best part was when the monks attempted to attack her. It was adorable. Their faces didn't show anger, but faces can rarely be trusted. However, what they failed to show in their faces, their eyes showed instead. They would allow her to get away with anything Girania had done. She tried to tell them not to attack, as she had planned to bring back a few of them for her experiment, but they didn't listen, and ended up as piles of bloody meat and bone, scattered across the grounds.

It was a shame that she couldn't take back one, but there was some good that came from all this. Their deathly silence made this monastery seem just as one would expect a monk monastery. Quiet, tranquil, and peaceful. Girania stuck around to just let it sight and sound sink in.

The Air was thick with death, Ragen marched up the mountain of the monastery but he could already tell there was a malicious force up there, and they had already killed, recently. His thought back to his training, it always involved mountains and fighting strong enemies at the top, this was familiar to the summoner. The air was cool and the stone steps had religious carvings in each step it was quite magnificent. The architecture was ancient with cracks and moss growing literally everywhere but the mountain temple regained its beauty, though whatever fights he may have to have when he gets to the main grounds could effect the very structure of the place. But Ragen promised himself not to smash any clay pots if he could help it.

Upon walking through the main gate which looked like it had been smashed open, Ragen held his breath as he stepped over a burnt corpse and examined a few more bodies littered about the place almost like some sick decoration. They had definitely tried to fight but they were overwhelmed which was sad in a way but they probably upheld whatever honor they had, not that any of that really mattered to Ragen.

In the middle of the main ceremony area about 40 feet in front of him he spotted what looked like a young girl giggling to herself. Ragen decided to make himself known.
You did this didn't you? If it was something else it would have killed you too, but there you are just smiling. Why did you kill these monks?

While talking Ragen stealthily summoned The Night Pack and they were hiding amongst the ceremonial structures getting in position to ambush.

And thus a warrior has finally arrived. Girania expected someone to appear. Someone always did whenever some tragic, death-dealing event is played out. Though, she had to admit, this man didn't quite seem like any hero, or even a good person. By the look of him alone, he seemed more evil than humane. Still, it didn't matter to her. Someone arrives, and they try to end her.

This man was no exception. She could see he was a powerful Spellcaster of sorts. Definitely a potentially difficult foe...except he may have thought himself a bit too good. Girania almost laughed hard when she saw his attempt at sneaking a summoning without her knowing. Did he think that Girania wouldn't notice several werewolves just appear out of nowhere and try to blend into the area's structures when their fur's colors clashed so much with everything else? It was just adorable!

In any case, Girania decided to humor the man. She looked at the him and said,

"Yes, I did kill them." said Girania. "But I had to! I helped them, and all of a sudden they attack me! I had to defend myself!"

Girania didn't even try to hide the fact that she was lying. She just smiled at him, waiting for his little puppies to attack.

Ragen wasn't sure what to make of the young lady, her energy was certainly a form of unholy magic but her feelings and reactions seemed somewhat mortal like. Perhaps some sort of fallen angel, maybe a demonfolk, it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things anyway. Ragen's Night Pack had been discovered, Ragen saw the girl's eyes spot the wolves as they approached she was smiling as she told Ragen that she had kill the monks, she wasn't even a little bit afraid, so Ragen wasn't too sure a rush from the werewolves would even work, he sent a psychic message for them to hold thier ground and take cover behind whatever structures they could. The night pack didn't like obeying orders but they trusted Ragen's strategy and they weren't yet feral so they complied begrudgingly.

Ragen started to walk towards the girl while his left hand crackled with purple lightning, he was near a statue of buddha that was large enough to crouch behind and be covered, the statue was made of solid white gold and probably cost a fortune.

Well guess what? I have to kill you now, so show me how you defend yourself, I cant wait.

Ragen's hand flashed bight violet as he fired a magic bolt at the girl's torso, the night pack were watching while licking their chops in anticipation.

The moment the magic bolt was launched at Girania, the woman turned her body, allowing it to just fly past her. By look alone, Girania thought it a straightforward, uncomplicated offensive spell that mainly looked deadly. It was quite boring, if she were to be completely honest. Don't get her wrong, she felt the power behind it. The attack was deadly, but the spell itself just seemed boring to her. It was as standard as a basic, ball-sized fireball.

Still, the man began the battle with an attempt on her life. She would have to return the favor.

"You attacked me..."

Girania took hold of her sun-inspired chakrams, and twirled it in her hands. On her face was an innocent-looking grin.

"Now I have to defend myself."

Girania flung her weapons to the side, allowing them to spin and curve towards the new enemy. Girania relaxed her arms after throwing them. She was aware that the werewolves would attack the moment they think they have a chance, but they were nuisances at best. The feral were very predictable, after all. She kept her attention to both them, and her opponent. Best not to ignore one or the other.

I did attack you, wicked demon girl and now I'm going to attack you again.....

Ragen had plenty of time to see the young lady spin her charkrams in preperation to throw them, and the wily summoner wasn't interested in having a long range firefight with his magic bolts. So he hopped over the golden mat of the buddha and started to dash towards the young abomination right in the path of her spinning chakras. Luckily Ragen is not the weak'sit back and watch' summoner he used to be and had trained in the use of his staff extensively, he was no grand master monk but knew the standard parry quite will

Thwakkk!.......CLINGG!

While running Ragen smacked both chakrams out of the air as he advanced now in a full sprint while charging another fairly basic but effective spell.....The Force Ball Ragen shot out a blast of energy at the ground that the girl was standing on, it was an attack that was strong enough to crack the ground with the force of a mini tremor and knock the girl off balance. Also Ragen psychically told one of the Lycans to close in on the girl, moving round her flank while ordering another one to charge straight at the girl at superhuman speed to claw and bite down on her arms when in range. The other two wolves hung back curiously, wondering what would become of their brothers.

Ragen was also on a crash course for the girl, not fearing getting up close and personal to fight.

You'll see, I'm a lot harder to kill than a monk, we at Arkashe are built differently.....

Girania giggled a bit as her chakrams were parried. She wondered if he thought that as her only trick. The man had certainly made it clear that he wasn't a two-trick pony. He started charging at her with with a staff, while blasting some sort of ball of energy. Judging by how low it was shot, Girania figured that the man meant to stagger her. It didn't help that he had issued order to his werewolves aloud. To this, Girania jumped into the air. Her wings flared, and allowed her to reach higher into the sky.

Of course, she didn't forget about the little puppies. She snapped her fingers, and conjured up what looked to be two basic fireballs. Of course, she added a bit of deviancy in it. Once she sent the fireballs on their way, they would would follow whatever target she chose, and she chose the two puppies that were told to attack her.

Girania kept her eyes on the Spellcaster, grin still visible on her face.

"Arkashe? What a strange name for a place."

Girania's glowing eyes narrowed for a moment. Whether the man noticed or not, chakram had begun to levitate, and then rotate until they were spinning longer than before. In a moment, they zoomed from where they were, and made for the man once more.
