Name: Marx Phillips Lancer
Nickname: 'Limbo'
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Nickname: 'Limbo'
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Born an albino, unknowing that this was caused by his Conduit powers, and as such, much of the pigment in his skin and hair has been lost, resulting in his striking 'deathly' appearance.
Normal Appearance (I had intended to find a less douchey looking picture and one where the person posing is smiling/or drawing, but this was as close as I can get.):
Marx when he is reaching his power's limits (Pretty close, though couldn't find a realistic picture that fit what I was imagining, so I had to resort to this anime one. FORGIVE ME):
Alignment: Neutral, he doesn't really get into the business of other people if he can avoid it.
Biography:
Living as an outcast is all Marx knows, that; and the cruelty of this world. His first moments of life was that of rejection, having been abandoned at the doorstep of an orphanage as a baby. Even among others who were unwanted and cast away, he found a cold and vicious embrace. Everyone that saw his ghastly appearance thought him to be a curse, or an omen. They either treated him like he didn't exist, or acted to remind him of his place.
Even those overseeing the institute wanted nothing of the sickly-looking boy, ignoring him when he was bullied by the others. He cried a lot, so they stopped feeding him. His starvation seemed to sap away his tears well enough.
All around the young boy, the world appeared black and white, literally and figuratively.
He was eleven when he found his first friend and only comfort in the terrible place. Funnily, they weren't even human. It was a stray cat that he found wandering nearby. The animal seemed similar to him, hungry and lonely, looking at him with lost eyes. He immediately felt a bond with the cat, often shared his scraps of food and talked with it. Although just an animal, it taught him how to laugh and smile. One day, he was found playing with the cat. The young boy was restrained and forced to watch as the animal was cornered and beaten by the group of kids. Marx cried and begged for them to stop, completely helpless, but there was nothing he could do. When they finally finished, the cat was nearly at the point of death, laying there upon the ground in a pool of blood. Tears flowed down his face as he huddled over the body of his only friend. He cried while surrounded by their sickening laughter. But after that moment, Marx never shed another tear. Or another emotion at all for that matter. The only thing that rested upon his face was an expression void of emotion. When his friend released its last breath in his hands, the immense emotional pain would trigger his innate Conduit powers.
The whole world was immediately flung into chaos around him. It was as though this was a manifestation of all his anger, destroying everything he loathed. Everything was torn apart into nothingness, consuming the terrified children and pale boy. The orphanage and those within it were struck in the wave of destruction, much of it disappearing without a trace. Official records state that no one survived this explosion, apparently caused by poor infrastructure and a gas leak, no doubt a cover story to soothe the public.
Though this didn't fall too far away from the actual truth.
The pale boy had 'survived', physically, but what is left of him is dead, forever.
Using this as an opportunity to search for a fresh start, Marx left for the city, where he lived the following years completely alone and underneath a new guise, 'Limbo'.
"If only you never became my friend..."
