Assassins Creed is too easy, imo. You can kill ten fools with only two buttons blindfolded and tied down to a chair while being waterboarded.
Shadow of Mordor had a better combat system than both series combined.
I agree. Then again, I feel like the immersion would be broken if the fights were longer in that game. I think Black Flag and Rogue did combat the best, as Unity and Syndicate seem to be cranking up the difficulty by making the fights too long.
Which, I hate in terms of game design. Just becuse a fight takes longer does not make it more difficult. Great game design is something that punishes poor playing and rewards great playing, and sadly, there's not enough of that in games these days. The Dark souls series is really the closest thing there is, and those games are also very repetitive.
