Honestly, in my experience, if we move too fast, ones who post slower might lose interest and quit. It happened quite a lot to me actually, so I think I'm gonna take my time a bit.

I'm definitely of this opinion. Some people can't post as fast as others, and if you speed ahead of them they'll lose connection to the plot, and then lose interest in it.

As for collab posts: I love using google docs for it. You can set it so that anyone can edit it, and just post a link and you can actually watch as everyone edits it, allowing you to collaborate in real time if everyone's on. Or, if only one person is on, they can add their contribution and be on their way.

HISTORY—

Clan Rontan were always soldiers, long as they could remember but steadily that need was fading. Wars seldom happened anymore on Caerel, if they ever had in the first place. Battles sometime broke out between Lords over land and that was where soldiers were needed. The Rontan men were prided with their ability to excel in combat situations, usually selling themselves to the higher bidder. As land disputes faded so to, did the need for professional soldiers. Oberon's father believed differently, stating that the time would come one day when Rontan men would be needed once more, so he trained his only son with all the skills and knowledge from the past. By the age of fifteen, Oberon was well on his way to becoming a proper soldier when something that he had never imagined happened, a hatchling Black Knight, chose him to bond with.

He knew what was required of him then, to travel to Draketooth Mountain to become a full fledged rider and he did just that. He went through the combat exercises easily, as his past experiences only helped with this. Everything else was a challenge that he accepted without hesitation. Eventually, he graduated but at the same time did not feel satisfied with where he was, he wanted more for himself that the riders could not provide. So he left the them to pave a future for himself around the island. Year by year he found odd jobs, all in the line of combat, which he reveled in. Oberon would make quite the reputation for himself and many would start to call him, "The Knight."

His home was built with the money he acquired and Sicarus would live in the swamp next to it. All was good in his life, until the drought came, gaving him quite a shock. Everything he had achieved was now in jeopardy, all his hard work would be for nothing if the island died. He overlooked the swamp, even it was shrinking and Sicarus could see it too. He would ponder on what to do until a letter arrived at his isolated home at twilight. A summons? From Keltor? This must be important Oberon thought as he readied his things to leave.

• Athletic- Oberon is in tip top shape, ready to go at any moment.
• Seasoned Dragonrider- With more then 15 years of experience, one could say that he knows what he is doing.

• Disciplined- Knows when to shut up and follow orders, even if he doesn't like them.
• Negotiator- Can talk with people quite well.

• Ideological- Oberon is patriotic and would do anything to save his home.
• Spontaneous- He sometimes acts before he thinks.
• Brutally Honest- Oberon will not hesitate to tell you what he thinks, even if it hurts others.
• Pride- A little is good but a lot? Guess we will find out.

Sicarus is as big as a Black Knights come, maybe even larger. He has a scar on his right side, about as large as a sword, from a dragon fight he had along time ago.

• Sicarus is quite disciplined. Rider and dragon have a close bond.
