As the bidoof was caught Niesha smiled, and cheered, running over to pick the pokeball up. "Rest now, and later I'll bring you out Nd give you some food!" She had just caught her first Pokemon! Solias approached, and Niesa smiled at him. "Thanks Solias! You did great! And now we have another little friend!" She smiled once more turning to the other two, who looked a little familiar to her but she had no idea who they were. "Thank you. I'm Niesha, this little guy is Solias"

Melody lifted Emp into her arms and hugged him "I'm Melody, and this is my partner Emp" she smiled "are you just starting on your journey as well?"

"I'm Rowan, this is Twig." Rowan gestured to the Turtwig beside him with a slight nod of his head before pulling returning the Turtwig to his pokeball.

Niesha watched as Rowan returned the turttwig to its ball. She wondered if she should do the same with Solias, but she didn't like the idea of the chimchar in his pokeball, when who knows how long he had waited for her to choose him? So for now she kept him out with her. She nodded at Melody's question "yeah. Should have started a week ago, but moving in too longer then my parents thought and I stayed to help them"

"Rowan and I both just received our Pokemon and we decided it'd be best to head out together. You're welcome to join us if you like." Melody cradles Emp in her arms as she spoke

Rowan looked from Neisha to Melody and back again before smiling slightly to himself.
"Yeah we can always use another shorty around." Rowan chuckled before sticking his hands in his pockets and continuing on to Sandgem town.

"Froufrou, we're almost to the top. We can stop walking soon." The late teen called for his companion over his shoulder. He'd gotten momentum on his way here, and this hill threatened to kill it. If he couldn't enjoy a good coast down a hill after this bear, he didn't know what he'd do.

The Oshawott scurries to him from nearby, with a berry in her mouth. "Oh, an Oran berry. Good find. Hang on to that, now."

"Osh!"

"Good." Cliff nods and lets the little creature climb to his shoulder as he sets the bike down next to him. Beholding a route much less leisurely than he had hoped, the young man gripped his life in his hands and saddled up. After a few turns on a dirt path, there was a straight-away into town. With a gentle push, he began the final leg of the beginning of his journey.

It was poetic when you said it like that, but to other parties, it just seemed reckless. Nurse Joy did not approve of his 'joyriding', certainly.

With careful brakeing, the young man managed to avoid tumbling off his bike and injuring both himself and Frouline. He skids twice, managing to ride it out both times, before he leans slowly into the straightaway.

He sails down the hill into town, enjoying the sun and wind, when Frouline tugs his hair gently. He opens his eyes to see a woman coming out onto the path. She turns to face him and she stands with her arms out. Oh, was she trying to scare him? He dips to one side of the path and turns back just as he passed her, ducking himself and the bike under her arms.

He started a skid and caught a rock, pitching him off the bike and through the air. Through some miracle, he managed to land on his feet, stumbling forward. His eyes caught Frouline tumbling through the air and he, through some good old fashioned effort and dumb luck, flailed and vaulted himself into a headlong tumble. He somersaulted beneath Frouline and caught her in his arms, flopping onto his back and resting. "Oooh... jeez, I- aah!"

The bike clattered to a stop next to him, giving him a good scare. He gave a sigh before sitting himself up, turning to look at the woman approaching him.

She felt a little bad because she ended up causing him to fall, when he would have been fine. He reasured her, and after a brief exchange, he realized he'd missed the other beginner trainers. Cliff jumps to his feet and, finding his bike inoperable, takes off on foot with Frou on his heels.

"C'mon Frou, I think I hear them." The young male came around the bend of a small hill. He'd only started running again once he heard voices. Getting around without his bike was so slow...

"Hello? Trainers from New Leaf?"

"Friends already? Excellent! I'd love that! Traveling on you're own can be so boring! Thank you!" Niesha said happily, the young girl falling into step with Rowan as he started to walk, Solias trotting among as well. She swung her pack around gently, and checking on the egg, but it still seemed fine apart from the occasional twitch. No cracks yet. She put her pack back on her back, and. Looked about.

She looked up at the sound of a voice, and waved, smiled. "So it seems like. Who are you?"

Melody and Emp scrambled to keep up with the other two. "Wait for us we have little legs!" She caught up to the others and turned when she heard the young mans voice, before she could say anything Niesha had already responded to him.

Rowan continued walking, ignoring the newcomer as he had never heard of 'New Leaf' and thus didn't realise he was talking to him and the others. He stopped after a bit realising that the others weren't still following him so he twirled on his heel and came back.

The boy smiled softly when he was greeted, standing straight. He spoke, "name's Cliff. I'm glad I was able to catch up. I was supposed to get here earlier, but it took a little longer to get here than I thought. What's your name?"

Niesha looked back at Melody and smiled. While she had short legs too, Niesha typically moved fast. "Sorry" She looked to the new boy, to Cliff, and smiled cheerfully. "Niesha" She said brightly, "What's yours?" She knelt to pick up Solias, hugging the Chimchar to herself.

"Uh..." Melody raised her hand to point out the very real danger of Niesha setting herself aflame on Chimchars tail but thought better off it and kept her mouth shut. She decided to introduce herself as well "Hi Cliff, I'm Melody and this is Emp" she gestured towards the Piplup. "And the surly guy in the back is Rowan, he has a Turtwig named Twig"

"Surly?" Rowan asked with a sigh before delivering a swift backhand to the back of Melody's head
He turned to Cliff before offering a handshake to the slightly older boy.
"Nice to meet you."

His? His what? He gave her his name... maybe his pokemon's name? "Frouline." Cliff holds his arm down and lets his Oshawott climb uo to his shoulder. She perches there and rests a paw against his head for balance. He turns his attention as the other trainers gather and introduce themselves.

"Melody and Rowan, with Emp and Twig. Seems like a lively bunch. Traveling together should be fun."

Niesha wasn't worried about Chimchar's flames. He had never burned her, or her things before, so she wasn't concerned. She smiled, and nodded. "It's good, having friends" Niesha had been worried about that, about being able to make friends after moving, but that didn't seem to be a problem. Of course, when you had pokemon, you had friends. "How long have you been a trainer?"

"Not for long. Until a few days ago, I had yet to leave on my journey." He didn't want to go on a journey without another human around. "I totaled my bike on the way here, so I'm really glad I was able to catch up to you guys." He reaches up and pets Frouline idly, causing her to lean more against his head.

Melody winced as Rowan backhanded her and her hat fell to the ground, she picked it up and dusted it off with tears beginning to form at the corners of her eyes. She murmured her agreement to having Cliff join them and stood quietly off to one side petting Emp.

Rowan stood there with his outstretched hand as he was completely ignored by Cliff, so he withdrew it and narrowed his eyes at the older boy. First he dared be the same height now this outrage?!
"Can we just get going." Rowan muttered grumpily before shoving his hands in his pockets and walking off again.

Niesha blinked, and setting Solias down, she bundled Melody into a hug, "Hitting is wrong, Rowan! Apolgise!" She said, not knowing what Rowan was in a grumpy mood, she planted her hands on her hips, and narrowed her eyes, the pixie looking girl with an almost venomous look in her eyes. Clearly, she wouldn't take no for an answer.
