Camp ThinkerRock:
Summer Camp for Aspiring Metahumans.








Genre: Modern, Summer-camp, Superhuman, Character Driven, Mystery, Interaction heavy
Hello there, welcome to Camp ThinkerRock, an RP set in the same universe as my other RP, Verthaven. This RP is centered in a summer-campy environment that is set in Northern Oregon that will center around a group of young people gifted with super powers (Inspired heavily by Psychonauts). Coming from various backgrounds, the camp is apart of a project (The Academy Project) to train and educate these people so they don't destroy anything, or become supervillains. However, this Academy was dying, so the people who run the whole business managed to get some kids that have been arrested, kids that are in the foster care program with no way out, runaways, dead-ends, and, of course, people who willingly want to be trained, to populate the camp. I'm looking for a group of experienced roleplayers for this character-driven RP.

How do you feel about "required secondary powers?" To be specific, I might make a gravity manipulator, and I would give her immunity to pressure so that she doesn't turn herself inside out.

Yeah, that's cool.

Sorry, but Gravity Manipulation is on my list of no-no powers on the account of being a lot more overpowered than people think. lol

Secondary powers are fine within reason, of course.

Not willing to budge on the gravity manipulation, are you? I understand that it can be easily broken, but considering that we'll be playing very young and inexperienced superhumans, I imagine that some of the more ridiculous applications shouldn't come up.

That character's counterpart will be a plasma manipulator, incidentally.

I ran an inexprienced Omnikinetic once in one of Allen's RPs to mess with him and I'll tell you that he was still the most powerful person there. And we had some powerful characters.

I'd recommend something else. The power wiki will help if you need ideas.

That's basically what I was planning. I wanted more or less a telekinetic, but I saw that was already taken. I also thought that gravity manipulation would have a stronger thematic balance with plasma manipulation.

Would you accept gravity manipulation under the guise of re-skinned telekinesis?

Not trying to be a pain in the ass about this, I just thought I had a pretty good idea for a pair of characters. If you'd prefer, we can take this to PMs. Wouldn't want to keep shitting up your thread.

Sure, if you avoid the stronger uses of Gravity Manipulation. And for the record, most of my powers are so generic that I barely mind if there's two characters with the same powerset.

And I want some solid limits/drawbacks for the Plasma Manipulator. Plasma is basically overheated gas, and mighty stronk. lol

Hmm. Not sure where you would want the power level to sit, so I'm unsure of what to put down as limitations. I know it's a strong ability, but it's also a rather general ability. I basically see it as a cross between fire manipulation and electricity manipulation. Some of the strengths of both, and some properties unique to itself.
