No there wasn't. The attack happened, and the attack ended, we're all still in the time after that. Sorry for not clarifying @TheHangedMan

Also, this is directed to everyone, if you don't to go for the full length of the train ride, we can to a time skip to Hogwarts.

Charlyn Janel Avalon
Nicknames: Charlie, Char



Age: 11
Blood Status: Pure-Blood

Personality: She learns very fast, if she is interested in something. Charlyn is very friendly, but she has a big ego. She accepts when there's something she can't do, but embraces things she can do. She is a perfectionist. She likes to question everything, if there's something unclear to her, e.g. rules. Even though she does accept rules, she is also one to happily break them to have some fun. Charlie likes to discuss a lot, she believes that books, discussions and observation keep her mind on edge.

Charlyn is adventures, and also future-minded. School is important to her, just like having fun is important. And sometimes finding the balance is hard to her.

She is open hearted, very accepting, loyal, overly helpful and protective.
But don't get it wrong. She can be quiet a handful.

History: Charlyn lives with her father. He own a store for old magical things, that others can sell to him and he tries to fix them up and resell them.
Her mother died when she was 8 years old, they had the greatest bond. Ever since then, Charlie has been the adult in the house. Her father is not home often, since he's the only one working at the store and they can't afford to not open it. Sometimes Charlie offers to help out, though.

Her mother was a very nature centered person, so Charlie turned out to be that kind of girl that puts milk out for the cats and feeds the birds in the winter.
Her mother worked at the Mungo Hospital. One day the hospital got attacked, a part of it broke down and Charlie's mother was the first one to go and save the poor patients.
Her mother was stubborn, she wanted to save all patients. And in the process, she endangered herself and died when the rest of the bricks came down from above and buried her beneath them.

Pet: A male great horned owl named Rascal. He has been with Charlie since her 6th birthday.

@AbysmalDemon Did you notice I changed my parentage slightly? I noticed a fellow player with the same parentage and made mine Ravenclaw & Huffelpuff rather than Ravenclaw and Griffindor. Not sure if that changes my sorting, but then again it's not like Lavender really cares... or knows that she should care...

Yeah I did notice your change (I keep tabs on everyone's Characters, such a stalker) It doesn't really change your sorting unless you look up and admire deeply to one of your parents so, yeah.

Lavender is torn in half most of the time. She is just now learning that her biological parents were magical folk, and has no recollection of either of her parents, as they died when she was only a baby. Lavender has always known she was adopted, it's only the witch thing that is news to her. Oh and the fact that her parents may have always known about all this is starting to dawn on her.
She adores her adoptive parents, tending to gravitate towards her dad as he is the level headed parent. Lavender and her mom are more of the worrying sort. Lavender has a vivid imagination and can use this to her advantage. It can also be a disadvantage. When she is worried, her mind tends to wander, leading her to places she would not have thought possible.
Having this in common with her mom, Lavender tends to turn to her dad for advice and help. He will certainly not add to her troubles the way her mother might.
She's brave, though. She's always been different, and has had no clue why, or how different, until recently. She is trying to come to terms with who she is, who she wants to become, who she thinks others expect her to be and who her parents are. Magic scares her, after all it killed her parents, and her experiences on the train haven't helped. She is determined to make the most of things, though, and hopes that learning to control what she is capable of will make magic (and potentially herself) less likely to hurt anyone.

I think slytherin is out, she may be a full blood but she certainly isn't proud of this or anything. She was simply not raised to care.
Perhaps Hufflepuff may give her too much time to dwell on that which troubles her, may give her too much freedom?
I guess I'd like to see her in either Ravenclaw or Griffindor, though I might be able to work with Hufflepuff, depending on who else is in there...
