I woke up, did my routine like every morning. I turned the morning news while I prepared breakfast. I never had time to actually listen to what was said on it. I always just caught bits and pieces. Hurrying out my home I quickly arrived to the underground train station. A high school girl bumped into me. I remembered her clearly because her make up was all smeared up from her tears. She was clenching onto her phone and wallet. She said a unclear sounding sorry before she run off beside me and outside.
The first time, I ignored it. Tomorrow it happened again. I was surprised and annoyed. The next day, I wasnt sure why. But it scared me to see the girl, I moved out her way and she never bumped into me. I saw her today... Am I crazy?
On my job I did the risk calculation again... It was there I noticed the date didnt not move on. I saw some movies, in which the day repeated it self. I had to learn some lesson to make it stop, right? I will keep a log to help me figure out what I do. ... I am aware tomorrow It will not exist, as I didnt write it yesterday...

Its actually isnt all that bad. Having so much free time. For the first time I am actually catching up on the books and movies and series I wanted to watch but never got around it.

I found out why the high school girl cried. Her sister stole her boyfriend. Maybe that is what will break the repetition.

Rented a car and drove out to the nearby lake. It was what I needed. I will travel and explore. One day isnt much to get far away but it mixes my day up. Maybe someone will know about this repeating day?

... Dying isnt a solution either... It wasnt suicide! I got into a car accident.

If I am counting right its anniversary of 17 May today. For it I slipped into the TV station. I tried that several times before and by now I know how most people think move and do. I got on live program. It was really fun. The police shot at me, thinking I am crazy. But before the camera was turned off I managed to shout my mind out. Telling that this day is repeated it self for 200 times.

Mark and me are founding the 1 Day Club. To find people awake to the repetition of the 17 May.
This is the story of a single day keep on repeating. But there are people who awake to the repeating. The 1 Day club tries to find such people and contact them. One of the goals of the club is to find how, and why it is happening. Another is to find new things to do.
Our character may already be part of the club, or being a lone wolf or just awoken (under 10 repetition) I wouldnt want more than 2 people to be just awoken.
I would love to see how each character will take to it to have to live in a world where what ever you do there is no lasting consequences. How one would handle to have a family that keep on saying the same thing for 100th time. A lover who doesnt believe and doesnt remember what you did last repetition.
How often would your character try to explain itself to them? Would they skip work? Would they try to do a heist? Kill someone? Save someone? How often of the same thing is too often? Would you try to read the whole internet?
@Xeronoia I agree. I don't think I've heard of anything that really sticks in the loop. The only stories I know of that really focus on time loops are Groundhog Day and Edge of Tomorrow / All you need is kill. I'm surprised it hasn't been explored much more.
