*Snicker* Anyhow, so. For most cancers, (To my knowledge) the cause is simple. The death and failure to replace of a -single- control cell. The death of the cell causes all of the cells under its command to fail to receive the command that keeps them from reproducing. So, they do. COnstantly. Their uncontrolled reproduction is what causes the cancerous tumor. Unneeded cells.
Stem Cells, however, are blank cells. They serve absolutely no purpose on their own. But, what makes them utterly remarkable is their ability to mimic the makeup of -any- type of cell, and replicate it perfectly. Sadly, Stem cells are -incapable of reproduction-, at least while still acting as blank slates. Thus, we have a limited number, used from birth to death. This is why our healing capabilities degrade as we age- We run out, and thus our bodies are forced to look to slower forms of regeneration.
Now, seeing as Stem Cells can replicate any cell, we simply need to find the... proper application of them, to force a single cell to replicate the lost control cell, and replace it. Almost immediately, it would resume sending the signals to stop reproduction, so the cellular system would return to normal. Then, the body will naturally rid itself of the unneeded mass of cellular tissue. Thus, Stem Cells cure cancer.
