Because it's fantasy. The appeal lies in suspension of realism. This whole interest check has essentially been you whining about a detail of relative insignificance. Perhaps give your keyboard a break and allow people to let Wraith know that they're "Interested".

This thread isn't tagged "Fantasy". It's tagged "Post-Apocalyptic, Sci-Fi, Small Group, Advanced, Casual".

My keyboard can handle the stress. It's literally made to be typed on.

As for me whining, I'm pretty sure that's just you(r misunderstanding). Nothing has been going on in this thread besides declarations of interest and a casual conversation between two rationally thinking adults. And Hillian occasionally posting dank gifs.
