[IC] Kobold Roleplay (Open!)

[Aristocles]

"I got chased around by a big dog once. A real nasty thing with black spots on its white fur. Biggest dog in the world, maybe. Not sure how many dogs live in our caves." Arjun replied, although he knew that the nearby human settlements had some hunting hounds and sheep dogs.

Kutur looks out the window, through the community cave entrance to the outside. The sun is completely gone. The only light that seems to be left is a few streaks of pinkish orange rays, with the darkness of night quickly consuming it. "Hmm, the time definitely getting late. It's been fun, unveiling my new spells, and talking about travels. I'll definitely come around tomorrow. I should probably get going," he says as he stands up from the mat. He then flips through his notebook one last time. His face seems to light up as he read a certain passage. "Oh, right . . . Ordo Ogtere." The elemental standing outside collapses into a pile of dirt, which then sinks into the ground.

"Alright. Have a good evening!" Arjun lay on the mat, resting on his stomach. Quietly, he was happy that the elemental was gone, and that it had not gotten out of control.

Next day, (horridly early in the morning. The sun isn't even up yet, and it's roughly 5:00) Kutur woke up to find that he ran out of dewgrass in his hut. Without dewgrass, he couldn't make dewgrass tea, and without dewgrass tea, he never felt completely relaxed. Hoping to avoid a fate worse than death (no dewgrass tea), he walked over to the community hut and tried knocking on Arjun's door (well, the side of the cave entrance). When there was no response, Kutur just went in and quickly searched through the pantry. Sure enough, there were preserved blades of dewgrass. He was going to just take it and leave, but then he thought how pleasant it would be if Arjun woke to a fresh pot of tea in the morning. So he got to work heating up a fresh brew. And besides, unlike last time, it's impossible to burn down a cave, right?

[Aristocles]

Arjun woke up when he heard someone searching through the pantry. He got up with a start, and threw on his light vest. He had been wearing his loincloth, but little else.

"Gah! Who is-?! Oh. Kutur. I take it you're having a good morning? Is there anything I can do for you?" He quickly put on his shorts and looked at the tea that was being prepared.

"Oh. Some tea. Yeah, thanks for making that."

"Here, have some tea," Kutur offered, handing Arjun a cup. "Now, on to the real reason why I'm here. You see, late in the night last night, I heard of a great opportunity for merchants, that is, if you're not afraid of caves, high mountains, and cold. You know those mountains to the southeast that everyone said was impassable? Apparently, there is a secret path through it only used by spies and thieves to get to Tang-Tse. Fastest trail there. It's a lot to brave, but we could round up Ash and Archie and go searching. Sound fun?"

[Aristocles]

"At this point, it's an offer I can't refuse" Arjun replied, taking the cup. "I'd be interested to see this trail and bring the others along. Just make sure you're well-armed. I can get my dagger and a sling. Between the four of us, we should be able to handle anything the trail has to throw at us. Probably. Maybe. I hope." He quickly drank the tea and moved to put on his larger vest and get the weapons ready.

"Alright, let's get going. The earlier we get going, the longer we can delay dying in a mine cave-in. Well, you anyways," Kutur rambled on. "But we should be quieter when going to get Ash. I think he has a daughter."

Archie woke up under his proudly self made blanket. Another day, another adventure. He had to bring something home before it was midday though.

[Aristocles]

"It may be his sister. Either way, we should be quiet" Arjun agreed as they went to find ash.

[bloonewb]

Thud thud thud. Kutur knocked at the cave entrance. "Helloooooo?" Then he went in. On the inside, there was a main room with 2 doors, obviously leading to 2 rooms. He walked up to a random one and knocked. There was a 50/50 chance for it to be Ash. Meh, that was a risk he was willing to take.

There was no response from beyond the wall, well, not that Kutur could hear. "Arjun, you run over to Archie's place, I'll try the door again," he suggested. This time, he's going to knock harder, and if that doesn't work, he still has some Tang-Tse black powder somewhere in his hut. That'll get him up for sure. THUD THUD THUD.

[Aristocles]

Arjun did as Kutur suggested, running over the Archie's place. It was not too long a run, but Arjun found himself panting by the time he knocked on Archie's door.

Archie heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" He said through his shirt as he got dressed.

[Aristocles]

Arjun opened the door and entered.

"So, are you ready to go on a trip today? Me and the others are. Going through the mountain pass."

[bloonewb]

"Okay, I have you now," Kutur muttered. He had just taken a quick trip from his hut. In his hands, there lies a glass cube full of black powder. He attempted to pull off the top, only to find it was impossible. Ugh, why do all Tang-Tse boxes have to be puzzles? Okay, move the right symbol 2 centimeters up . . .

[Swagmeister]

"oh, right. Is it a Hunt?" He Said, as he needed to bring something home.

[Aristocles]

"We can hunt while on the trip, sure! Now, come on. I think the others are waiting for us. Grab whatever it is you need and come with me!" he urged Archie.

[bloonewb]

"Aaaaaand . . . Aha!" Kutur shouted as he pried open the box. He then promptly upturned it and dumped the contents at the foot of the door. Then, he was suddenly struck with the odd desire to look at a particularly shiny object nearby. "Hmm, who does this belong to?" he quietly asked himself, examining a small bronze trinket with "Lakona" printed on it. It looks like it can be opened up to reveal something inside.

[Aristocles]

Arjun led Archie to join Kutur. "What is that? A coin? A bauble? A trinket? I don't know what a trinket is, but I still think it looks like a trinket. No idea why, though. Can you open it?" He saw that Kutur was trying to open it somehow.
