[IC] Kobold Roleplay (Open!)

[bloonewb]

"Oh, don't get your robe knotted up with your tail. We're not conquering anything. I'm just saying they don't have any defenses." Kutur sighed. He then pulled out a large map depicting the world. It's not extremely accurate, but hey, he was on a budget. "The mountain continues all the way to the heart of the East. We could keep going. However, what we could do is take a one day detour and go into Patir to fill up on anything we're low on. Are we low on anything?"

[Aristocles]

"Apart from our lack of pretty females, I think we're good" Arjun sighed. "Seriously, though, I think we have enough food and water. What is it that you want to do once we get to the other side?"

[bloonewb]

"You know how those shamans are. They send me on a long errand, but they expect me to figure out what they want. Do you know what they said? 'We seek thy holy light of the high lands'. It turns out they wanted water from the well in Mt. Feiyang."

[Aristocles]

"So, we're getting some holy well water?" Arjun inquired.

[bloonewb]

"Well, I am," Kutur answered, continuing to stare out at the shining lights of Patir.

[Aristocles]

"Alright, I'll give you a hand in getting it. Did they promise you any reward for getting it?" Arjun asked.

[bloonewb]

"Yeah. In trade, I get scrolls equivalent to up to 1 month of formal training. It's a pretty big deal. I hear one of them was copied from an Ashras warrior, from the midland plains."

[Aristocles]

"How is a scroll equivalent to training?" Arjun wondered.

[bloonewb]

"You see, the scrolls have words on them. The words represent knowledge. I read the words, and I obtain the knowledge. It's not so hard," Kutur explained in a patronizing tone. However, he noticed something that isn't there that was before. "Hey, the tea disease is gone . . . my head's alright now."

[Aristocles]

"I know how to read" Arjun sighed. "But reading alone is not tantamount to training."

[bloonewb]

Kutur was never comfortable discussing his training with people, especially other wizards. He thought back to what he knew the others think when he admits he has no master. 'Wow' they think. 'He must be some sort of reject'. "Well, it's all I got," responded Kutur, more to the other people he's thinking of than to Arjun.

[Aristocles]

"I... see" Arjun replied, not quite getting it. "Let's just move on."

[bloonewb]

"So, a female, melted chocolate, and exotic fruits, eh?" Kutur commented, grinning. He knew funny story material when he heard it. Oh boy, he's never going to let this go. "Suddenly I don't even want to sleep in the tent. Which walls are covered in . . . coins from the coin purse?" It was getting increasingly difficult not to laugh.

[Aristocles]

"The tent is perfectly clean" Arjun explained. "Good gods, it was just a dream."

[bloonewb]

Kutur tilted his head, weighing the risks with the benefits of sleeping inside. He squinted at Arjun, as if he didn't believe him. Then, he made up his mind and crawled back in the tent, laying on his sleeping sack.

[Aristocles]

Arjun curled up again, trying not to think about his dream too much.

[bloonewb]

Morning comes. Not that the barely awake kobolds under notice, being that the sun seems to have minimal effect on the freezing wind and snow. In fact, Kutur thinks while glaring at the sun as it beams down in a very 8 o-clockish manner, the melting snow would surely hinder tiny legs that can be barely lift over the snow as it is.

[Aristocles]

Arjun woke and yawned. "Is there any snow on the ground?" he asked, getting his robes on.

[bloonewb]

"Snow? Yeah, there's snow all right. Mountains and mountains of snow. I could probably write proverbs about it. 'The hubris of mortals is much like the snow on the Mountain Gates'. Basically, what I'm trying to say is there's snow on the ground," Kutur rambled, chuckling at the end. He glanced around, trying to predict the best path through.

[Aristocles]

Arjun sighed. "Alright. This is gonna be a long day..." he didn't like the cold feeling of snow on his feet, especially when it got under his claws. "Frozen water isn't exactly something we get much of underground."
