[IC] The First Summoning

When Rico attacked Botis didn't seem surprised at all, it was a logical action as a witch hunter to attack a demon on first sight. He didn't really pay attention to what Rico was doing, he only raised an eyebrow when Rico engulfed his sword with lightning, obviously not impressed. He planned to simply deflect the attack with his claws, as they could redirect the lightning, but to his surprise his mistress jumped in front of him.

His eyes widened. Why would his mistress do something like that? He just undid a spell by a wave with the hand, surely he could take an attack like this. He didn't understand why she would go to such lengths to protect him. She put up a barrier which prevented them from getting any damage, though it was shattered on impact. Afterwards Rico left the scene.

"You didn't have to jump in front of me mistress. I'm supposed to protect you, not the other way around." he spoke with a mix of annoyance and confuse of her action.

He looked to the ground and closed his eyes. He crossed his arms and sighed, followed by a small grin.

"But thanks nonetheless."

Ciara grabbed Botis hand again and dragged him towards the cage of eden. The entire way there Ciara said noting only holding her shoulder where she was cut. Once they got at the old abondoned castle Ciara wipped out her flying stick end flew over the walls, not finding the patciens to search for the small entrance.

she crash landed into the long waving grass and called her stick back.
She sat down wondering why Botis had't followd her jet.

Ciara took this moment and partly slided down her dress revealing her shoulder. She looked at the wound and placed her hands on it.

''all cats in hell'' she cursed as she tried to heal it but I didn't work.

'great, so it was a holy attack' she thought, she needed special herbs for that wound to heal. She didn't take kindly to the attacks embedded with Michaela's power and so would Botis. She didn't knew if the demon though it had been normal lightning he'd seen or if he could stand on par with Michaela.

''even he had to defend himself against that attack'' she wisperd to no one.

''why am I so dammed weak!'' she yelled angry faling back into the grass looking up at the sky.

Botis watched his mistress who kept holding her shoulder, she said nothing after his comment on her actions and thus decided to keep quiet. She took a risky sprint on her stick over the castle to enter the garden as quick as she could. Botis shrugged and casually walked towards the castle. He found the entrance and walked the corridor inside.

As he did he passed a beautiful woman who was admiring the art inside. She was looking at a painting on the wall which displayed the upper half of a woman with one side being beautiful while the other side seemed cursed. She was a tall woman with long crimson hair. She was dressed in a long silk red dress with black decorations. The dress showed the big curves in her body, her having smooth hips and a large chest. The dress didn't cover her shoulders and even though it was out of eyesight, the dress showed her cleavage. Her skin was peachy and seemed soft, Botis wanted to touch it. He stared at the woman as he past her eventually heading into the garden. The woman looked at Botis as he left the corridor.

He entered the garden and saw Ciara cursing on herself. She clearly was very disappointed that she sustained such damage from Michaela's power. He sighed and stood next to her.

"No need to worry my mistress, all will get better in time. You're young full with potential, although you are my mistress I can help you get better at your powers. Unfortunately mine are more destructive and don't contain spells that can reverse the effect of Michaela. That is what makes you special, you know how to cure this, I wouldn't even know where to start. But please, don't protect me next time, I am the one who should protect you."

''so you knew it was a spell from michaela'' Ciara said putting her dress back.

''you know Count Botis, I really hate playing the damsel in distress. I kinda wnat to be able to take care of myself and protect those I care about. You know when you thanked me I felt really stupid, because I hadn't even protected you properly. My shield gave out with just a second'' Ciara pouted.

She realy hated the fact that she was so weak, but she wanted to learn on her own. Away from the witch convoy and their influence, She wanted to do so many thing once she had grown stronger.

''you are very different from Surgat and Cherub, I saved those two and they rely on me. But you...you are strong and independend and I don't know what to do with you''

''what are you good at?, what do you gain by becoming a demon contracted to such a weak and clumsy witch?''
She hated what she was going to say next but she couldn't find any other words to say it.

''Count Botis, how excactly should I use you?''

"I think you are a very special witch mistress, I really enjoy the trip we are on. I am your demon on contract, and you are my mistress in training. That is just the way things are right now, you command me what to do, even if it means that I have to train you. However our magic greatly differs from the few things I have seen. Yours is creative, helpful and such whilst mine is very destructive."

He put his arms around his mistress, looking out that he didn't touch her wound.

"So do with me whatever you want." he smiled. It was hard to try and be so nice and take his mistress' feelings into consideration, but somehow he didn't mind it. He wanted to be there for her, her potential was big and with their forces combined they could make deadly partners whether it be in crime or not, but considering Ciara it would be the latter.

''you are getting nicer with the minute Count Botis, and then I realize I only know you for about 4 houres or so'' Ciara said hugging him back. It was a rare thing for a demon to give such tender hug, or a hug in commen. She had only gotten one hug from a demon before, just after her mother was killed. Ciara let go of Botis and he let go of her very carefull.

When Ciara looked at the walls of the castle she thought she'd seen the sillouet of a woman with waving red hair. It dissapeard quickly however so she didn't said a thing

''it feels like I have know you for months already, perhaps we have met before?'' Ciara asked Botis while she stood up.

''My mother had many demons to her contracted, and I know a few of them were from the 72 key's. Her name was Ciciela''

Her mother Ciciela was appearantly a very powerfull witch, and accordenly to Dantalion widly know amongst the demons. Her mother was a witch that loved demons and ofter drew her strength from them. it was rumored that she even was able to enter the underword, where no living being could ever venture. She was feared in the witch community as in the human realm, having many quarrels with both sides. Until this day Ciara aspired to be like her mother and hoped to avenge her death. Her death was very mysterious, how could such a powerfull witch die such a easy death by the hands of the witch hunters sect, the witch hammer.

Botis backed down after his mistress comment on him getting nicer. He blushed and looked away, like she said it was like they had known each other much longer despite it barely being a day. He looked away from her to hide his blushing pink face.

"Don't get used to it. You still are a witch who isn't even close to other witches and wizards I've been under contract with." he commented.

Shortly after Ciara asked if he knew her mother. She told him of a powerful witch, much greater than her, going by the name Ciciela. She had demons of the 72 keys, and wondered if Botis himself could have been under contract with her. He tried to recall memories of past owners but Ciciela didn't cross his mind. However his memory of past owners was hazy, his mind was blinded by destruction and havoc.

"Sorry I don't recall her." he looked around "So what did you want to show me here?"

''yes, yes, I known Count Botis, but I will get stronger'' Ciara said hiding a smile. Botis acted all high and mighty but he could be quite childiss and caring.

''and I have no idea what I wanted to show you here, I have never been here as well'' Ciara said and looke around.

The area was secluded and a barrier could probably be cast around the entrance very easy. That gave Ciara an idea.

''Count Botis, do you want to spar with me?'' She asked him already taking out her wand. She kinda wanted to show him that she also had destructive spells, althought they would easely fall short to his powers.

''speculum via'' she chanted and pointed at the only entrance there was.

''this should stop any onlookers from coming near us, well human onlookers that is'' she grinned.

He chuckled and snapped his fingers and stretched a bit.

"Let's hope no other demon is around then." he took a few steps back. "You throw the first attack my mistress."

Ciara was right, no human could spectate the battle between them, however if one wasn't human they easily could. Inside of the manor the woman with long crimson hair was standing watch. She looked outside of the window and saw the young sorceress and her contracted demon get into battle position. A smile appeared on her face one that seemed to enjoy what was about to happen.

Ciara broke her cloaking spell and turned back to her normal red an black dress. Her eye's already got their faint glimmer of red in them. The moment she would release her first spell they would turn to red. She had never know why her eye's turned red whenever she used magic, none of the other witches had it.

She took out her wand and nudged her feet a bit into the ground. Ciara was still hesitant to just trow an attack to Botis. But she was certain he would parr it and started her first spell.

''purpura lucem'' She chanted and her eye's shot to red. A circle of fire appeared around her and soon a second around that one, She knew she at least had to put up a barrier to last any longer than a minute against Botis. This type of barrier focused it's power on one spot, the moment an attack passed the first line, all its power would focus on the same point in the inner circel.

''nigrum clamor'' Ciara said out loud while pointing her wand at Botis. A dark fog like ray made its way towards Botis at high speed.

The battle has begon, and the woman within the castle was the only one to see.

Botis looked as his mistress prepared for the first attack, he saw the color in her eyes change, but didn't think to much of it. Although he had been with many wizard and witches he didn't pay much attention to them and thus wasn't surprised or shocked by the sudden change of eye color. She put up a barrier of fire orbs with her first spell and continued by casting her second spell which released a ray of fog-like energy towards him.

The demon smiled as the ray headed towards him at rapid speed. Luckily for him he could counter this with his barrier spell, he only had one, but it was super effective.

"Spiegel an der Wand"

He spoke and a large mirror was conjured in front of him, showing Ciara her own reflection as the fog ray headed towards it. In a matter of seconds the ray hit the mirror and it was reflected back towards Ciara.

A small spark appeared in the palm of Botis, he held his hand forwards and aimed at his mistress. The spark left Botis' palm and quickly formed into a big flare that headed towards Ciara. The mirror had already disappeared by now as Botis only could hold up the mirror for a small amount of time on every use. He knew he easily could counter his mistress first opening moves, but he was curious for her response on the flare, as it was quite a powerful spell, although he didn't fire it on its ultimate strength.

Ciara's first attack got deflected and crashed intot he ground leaving a black scorching mark. She had to think of something, for she was not going to win this on brute strenght.

'all cats in hell' Ciara thought. He was really going for it. The huge flare made its way towards her. It passed the outer circle of defence and the inner circle reacted. the flare hit the barriers and got diveded into two sepperate flares with Ciara's barrier in the middle.

She smiled as she felt the heat of the attack on her skin. She expected the spell to be much more powerfull though, it looked like Botis was holding back a bit.

''nigrum clamor''She chanted 3 times, but everythime she trew him the attack he deflected it. he just reflected it with all ease leaving marks all over the ground.

'its going well'

Surprised by the responses of his mistress, Botis decided to step up. He needed to get her fire barrier down, he tried battling fire with fire, but we all know that water is the best way to get rid of it. Unfortunately, or luckily for Ciara, he didn't have any hydrokinesis abilities. Instead his mouth slightly transformed into that of a viper, sizzling tongue and sharp fangs included.

He rushed towards his mistress and just before the barrier released a spore from his mouth which extinguished the fire. Botis mouth transformed back to a regular human mouth and he smiled at Ciara.

"You're all open now." he said.

He reached with his hand forwards and created a fireball in the palm of his arm. He bend his fingers a little to the inside as if he was forcing the fireball to do something. It did. The orange color of the flames turned blue, being much more concentrated now.

"You know I can even turn it red... or green!" he mocked her.

Everything was going well, like she had hoped Botis had cancelled her barrier wich witheld her to leave that area without getting suscpious.

She ran to the place she wanted to go and ignored Botis's taunting. When she was in place she prepered for her final attack

''nigrum clamor'' she chanted and raised her hand. All of the sudden however her shoulder started to hurt and she dropped her arm resulting in the spell exploding underneath her.

Botis hesitated with trowing his final attack and that was all she needed, her divertion had worked.

He was standing perfectly in the middel of her 5 scorching marks.

''Serpens orientis, leo sidera, oblitus in terram ,cecidit turris, alligavit virgo ,trahit terrae ,valkyrie anima.
FORMA, FORMAN VENUS!''

From the five marks lines apeared forming a 5 pointed pentagram. Botis looked around him confused, but he soon realized what she had done. She had put up a offensive barrier.

Chains appeared around him and pulled him to the ground. She looked at him and continued the second part of her spell

''LXXII clavium minus Salomonis, audita voce, arida flores'' A thousend or more small cinders apeared in the air and danced towards Botis,

''ardentes atra clamor'' Her spell was compleat and the cinders rushed towards Botis, Ciara just hoped that he could par this one...

He was too hesistant to throw his concentrated fireball and his mistress took advantage of this. He found himself trapped in her offensive barrier. Chains sprouted from the pentagram and wrapped around his limbs and pulled him to the ground.

His mistress continued by sending embers towards him, as they continued to close in on him he struggled to get free. He then sighed and stopped struggling, he had to perform a somewhat more powerful attack.

"Arme von verzweifelten Seelen ich herbeirufen die."

It didn't take long for the ground beneath him to transform into a pool of crimson essence. Multiple arms rised out of the ground and got a hold on the chains, breaking them with their immense strength.

Boris stood up and looked his mistress in the eyes. "Be lucky I didn't use that offensive. So got anything more?"

Ciara sighed,
''I cannot seem to trow anything to you with you knowing how to par it that easly'' She said.
But Ciara was far from done, she still had one big spell she could use on him. As fast as she could she grabbed her little dagger and slashed a different pentagram burned onto her arm than the one that belonged to Botis. Blood dripped on the ground, and with a black flash her grimmoire appeared.

Ciara picked it up from the ground and flipped open a page. She hated the fact that she had to read such long spells, but she hadn't masterd this one yet and until that had happend she couldn't shorten the spell.

''Calore, combussit, exæstuavit: ad cinerem, et ego ad nihilum deducet. ignis, metus elit. Ipse ad nihilum redigam in profluentem cineres esse venti.
O artificialis vitae, forma ignis meae mihique occurrerit revertenti'' She chanted and she squeezed her wand.

Now came the scary part.

she let go of her wand and the moment it thouched the ground she felt her body disintergrate. She slowy burned away from her feet down. The flames consumed her and she vanished, like she got turned into ash and dissapeared in the wind.

Deciding not to attack Botis calmly awaited his mistress next attack. She accepted the fact that her spells were still too weak to even come close to hurt him. However she suddenly started cutting herself and revealed her grimmoire, which took Botis by surprise. He continued watching what she was going to do instead of preparing himself for what might come. She started chanting the long spell, it was very long and he was curious as to what would happen, so he let her finish.

Once she was done the dropped the wand. Botis saw it hitting the ground and on impact his mistress suddenly started to burn away in front of him, to his shock. Botis' eyes widened, he had never seen such a spell before. Ciara had completely finished in thin air. Botis looked around, searching to see if there was anything that could identify as his mistress. He hoped to see a small ember floating in the air as she burned away in flames, but to no point could see anything that might reveal his mistress' position.

He started to get frightened, but did not let his mistress fool him. She had to be around here somewhere and he was going to track her down, only how? He could unleash a hellish wave of flames around him, but he didn't want to scorch his mistress, although she did so to herself. Instead he decided to wait for Ciara to make her move.

"Mistress! Reveal thyself!" he shouted loud hoping she would.

Ciara cheered silently as had finaly managed to impress Botis a a bit. She personally really hated this spell But she did it anyway. Slowly she moved around as small parts of ash flowing in the wind. She enjoyed seeing Botis panick a bit and looking around trying to find a presence of her.

When Botis asked her to reveal herself she noticed that he had no way of noticing her presence.

''I am here Count'' She said teasingly while running around him. She returned to her normal from for a second before dissapearing again like ashes in the wind. She never stood still making it hard for Botis to pinpoint her.

''semita of Venus'' She said as she left a mark on the ground. She quickly ran again, as the sudden appearence of a mark on the ground wouldn't go unnoticed by Botis.

''stella Ishtar'' a second mark appeared

''fide Issis'' This one was made close to Botis. The formation was forming itself

Botis kept looking around him until he heard the voice of Ciara, he could pinpoint where the voice came from but was sure she already had replaced herself since then. She showed herself for a few seconds, only bringing up more confusion to the demon. He discovered that she had turned into ash, a feat he had never seen by any other sorceress, truly a rogue move, which none of his previous contractors were even interested in.

He saw that Ciara left a mark on the ground while running, Botis inspected it until he noticed she placed a second one. "I'm getting out of here." he said. Botis sprouted his wings and flew up into the air. He hovered there expecting that he was save from the marks on the ground.

"I do not know what those things are, but I'm pretty sure they're up to no good."

Ciara laughed when Botis flew up in the air. He was fleein, she a novice witch had forced the great demon lord Botis to sprout his wings and fly away to what he thought was possible safe 'ground'

She called her flying stick and flew up, placing a mark behind Botis.

''puer feya''
She momentarly materialized again behind him. He turned around quickly only to see Ciara fade again. She was teasing him to much, Ciara knew that but she wanted to force him to become a bit more serious. He came into this position in the first place by teasing her to much as well.

Ciara felt a bit of blood drip out of her mouth and she knew she was nearing the maximum of this spell. Turned to ash was a high lvl spell and she could only keep going for about a minute or 8, and she was nearing that limit.

One more, One more mark and she whould have 5 again.

''Carcere Gaia'' she chanted placing her hand on the back of Botis, just between his wings appeared another mark.

'' UNUM!'' Ciara's 'turned to ash spell' wore of and she landed on the ground while transforming back from ash to human. She immediatly collapsed but got back up and sat on one knee while waving her wand.
The marks she had left flew to Botis and inprisoned him into a pentagram.

She got him.

''Praemium'' The pentagram started to get smaller and smaller and gave of a ominous black light that became stronger and stronger. With a huge bang the pentagram exploded.

Ciara looked at Botis while wiping away the blood that had trailed down from the corner of her mouth. She went past her limit.

''Give it all you got BOTIS! show me your magic!'' She yelled excited.
