[IC] The Beastly Curse (we still need people)

Belle lowered her head, trying to catch Hachi's eyes. "It is important to learn to control your temper. But I am impressed that all you did was freeze things. I have a feeling you could have done far worse. So, in a way, you succeeded in controlling most of your temper. Next time you can try to control it more."
As she spoke Belle reached out and touched his shoulder gently. She wasn't excusing his behavior, but she did want to encourage him to keep trying to control himself. She didn't know how they had all ended up this way, but perhaps it had something to do with things they had done in the past. Was there a way to change them back?
Belle wasn't going to risk insulting or hurting Hachi by asking about such things now. She would wait until they knew each other better, which she hoped would happen. She did like Hachi as well as the others she had met here so far.

Hachi nudged her towards the kitchen so she merely bowed to the other two creatures, apparently Hachi's brothers, as they left. "Hachi? I mean, sir," Belle amended. "Do you mind if I ask what you like to do? I mean for fun? Is there something you and your brothers like to do together?"

The best way to get to know someone was through questions about themselves. As long as she reigned in her curiosity and didn't ask too many overly personal questions perhaps she could get to know more about all of them.

Hachi tilts his head when she speaks of more control. He appreciated that she encouraged him instead of just asking why he didn't just control himself. He continues nudging her gently until they reach the kichen where ignoring all others in the room he grabs a rag and hands it to her with his mouth...seeing as he can't tie it on her wound himself.

His ears pencil forward when she speaks again asking him what he likes to do for fun. His ears seem to go back a bit with a touch of sadness. {my brothers and I....don't really do much together.} he seems to shake himself out of the mood and focuses back on her. {personally I enjoy swimming in the lake and fishing...working on ice sculpting but it's quite difficult} he actually sounds his age when talking of these things. {oh and...please call me Hachi...} he then studies her a bit. {I could show you the forest sometime...if...if you'd like} he then quickly reverts back to his natural older maturity after asking managing not to look too excited...at least he hoped..he never offered any one else.

Faris

Faris had been paralyzed by fear. Someone was in his attic. The darkness was thick, she would never be able to see him. He was just another shadow on the wall. Then he heard another sound. Was that... Grey!? He flew suddenly up the wall and into the ceiling, the attic door slamming shut as darkness filled the room like smoke. Nobody visited him up here. This was his safe spot. He whimpered a little as he saw the shapes moving through the darkness. He could see in the dark. He was the dark.

Aria jumped when the door shut. She wrapped her arms around herself, scared. It felt like a ghost was doing this to her. Or was it another person who lived here? Maybe it was one of the princes. "Um... It's o-okay. I won't hurt you." She mumbled. Did he want her to leave? She didn't know because the door shut. Did he shut it? Aria was confused.

Vellorita listens to the curious snake. If the servants were animals, how were the princes different? He did not specify what exactly they were. The young woman turned to the bat and nodded. "Yes that would be proper then wouldn't it. I will follow you." Subconsciously, she patted down strands of her voluminous hair. "Thank you, Nyra." She gave the bat girl a warm smile as she adjusted her tunic. "I do hope I'm not intruding too much on you all."

The door slammed on Grey's head forcing him out of the attic. "Well at least Faris has his strength still." He was mad for a moment as the pain pumped on his head, but that quickly subsided. He knew Faris wouldn't hurt Aria, and left them to be. He trapped her up there and would have to let her out now. Maybe she could talk to him for a moment. He went back down the hallway and was making his way back for the fireroom, when he ran into a new girl, being escorted by Nyra about the house. "Well hello. I am Prince Greykin, but you may call me Grey. What brings you to our castle?"

Belle took the rag gratefully and wrapped it around her hand. She felt bad for asking once he became sad. It wasn't right that brothers did not spend time together. They needed each other. Family was important for many reasons.

She smiled encouragingly once he told her about things he liked. "Please don't laugh Hachi, but I do not know how to swim. Perhaps you can teach me?"
His offer to show her the forest made her face light up excitedly. "I would love to see the forest with you, to see it through your eyes. When can we go? Oh," she added suddenly. "I suppose I have to get Felix' permission first. He is my superior."
It was somewhat strange to refer to a cat as someone's superior, but it was the truth for the time being. But really Belle hoped to one day help them return to what they once were, if they wanted it that is.

"I could bring a picnic," she suggested. "Just tell me what you like to eat. And maybe another day we can all have a picnic together? Your brothers, the servants, the other guests. It could be fun. It seems you haven't had a lot of that, have you Hachi?" Belle asked gently. "I hope to change that, if I am allowed to."

Hate lights up talking to her, delighted to get to show someone the forest. Also...possibly teach them to swim. He seemed to be mirroring her excitement, causing what appears to be a smile to appear on his animal face. {I would love to teach you to swim...though it'll be a challenge since i have this body, but we can try} He tilts his head thinking of when they could go. {Whenever you would like to go, we can go} another smile as his tail swishes back and forth. {If Felix gives you too many chores and you wish to leave...I will help you.} Seems like a good plan.

He tilts his head at the picnic idea. At least one of his brothers had a habit to stay in his room all the time, but maybe he would be tempted. {My brothers and I haven't felt like a real family for a very long time...since our parents passing, we seemed to all grow distant in some form or another...and then we got transformed into these forms.} He shakes his head. {I am sure if you ask some of them will come....and that would be....a change in pace at least}

Ramia had after a while gotten rather bored and had again began pacing back and forth. Even if she felt bad for the princes or her own current situation she had chosen not to show it. Still the black haired swrodswoman knew she was a prisoner - now that she did not like. In her opinion the prince had completely overreacted, though now that Ramia thought about it maybe she could have been a tad bit more careful in the way she had worded her conversation with him. "Damnit, the least they could do is give me something to eat..." She mumbled and shook her head.

"Why...are you here?" Faris asked, his voice seeming to come from all around the trapped girl. The attic reflected his emotional state, so the door wouldn't open so long as he was defensive and closed off. It was his way of coping, tying his emotions to the one place where he spent the most time.

Aria looked around, wondering where the voice was coming from. She was a bit nervous, but she finally spoke. "I-I'm very sorry if I disturbed you. I saw this fog coming from here and wanted to investigate..." She took a deep breathe. "Are you okay?" Aria was concerned for the being that lived here, as it sounded like they weren't well.

Vellorita had just been given into the care of Nyra when someone approached them. Well bumped into was more fitting. "My apologies, your highness." She gave a curtsy. "I am Vellorita Ashwood, Daughter of Marn." She looked around. "I was just hoping to rest here a while. I'm a traveler. I won't stay long." She only had a small bag of belongings and some gold to her name. "I promise to cause no trouble and keep out the way until I'm rested enough to move on."

"Well this is no Inn so we won't be taking your money, but please feel free to stay. We won't keep you if you need to go, but please don't go until you are absolutely ready. Your presence is a blessing to us here. As you may have noticed we don't have many guests, so please feel free to come and stay anytime you would like." Grey gave a shallow bow that he held for slightly longer than normal as he quickly thought to himself. Oh wow, have I changed. Stupid wench forcing us into this situation. It's sort of my fault as well, but this is demeaning. I almost feel like an innkeeper, but this will be of our own kindness. We'll just be known as the kind rulers once we return. He looked back up to Vellorita with a pleasant grin. He didn't dislike the girl, but had very mixed feelings on the new state of affairs. He knew he needed to be kinder, but there was a level as royalty that needed to be kept as well. He would treat the girl with kindness regardless. If the brothers were lucky she may become a sister-in-law someday anyways. "If have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any of us. I'm sure Nyra will be able to help you about as well."

"Why are you here!?" He repeated, and the shadows seemed to shift more to where e was in particular. He hadn't been asking what she'd been doing in his attic, he wanted to know why she was at this castle. It was not her home. It was his parents.

Vellorita nodded. "Then I am very grateful indeed." She took a look around. "If you could be so kind as to point me towards the quarters. Any will do." Having stayed in barns and brothels, she was far from picky and she had no intent on abusing the good graces of the masters of this castle. After a pause she amended her request. "Actually, would you happen to have a green house or garden house?" It was not absolutely necessary, but she preferred it.

Grey was expecting her to ask for quarters first during her stay here, and was suprised when she changed what she wanted to find first. "Umm, yes, we do actually. Nyra, please escort Bryn to the garden house." Grey was about to turn and head back to the fireroom as Bryn and Nyra turned to go to the garden house. He became curious though. Wondering why this girl would want to go to the garden house first. He turned back to them and began to walk with them. "If you don't mind, I think I'll join you."

Nyra nodded. "Of course, your highness. This way!" She said is a jolly tone, then she realized that the prince was with them, she quieted down a bit. She flew as slowly as she could so they could keep up, but it was a bit difficult.

Aria looked over at the thickening shadow. She covered her eyes quickly, shaking. "I was in the rain. One of the princes brought me in! I'm sorry!"

Vellorita had not expected a prince to join them. If she were being honest, she had expected to be turned away almost immediately. It was highly peculiar. She had been exposed to various magic, however, should would admit all of this was fairly odd. They followed the bat girl out to the garden house.

As they arrived at the garden house, Grey went ahead and held open the door for Nyra and Vellorita. Typically a maid should do this, but it must be extremely difficult for a bat, especially after she's been flying slowly for them.

He walked in behind the two taking in the sight of the garden house. He hadn't visited it in a while. "Wow, it's beautiful in here." The servants had done a very good job to take care of the garden house.

Vellorita walked into the garden house and had to agree with the prince. "It is truly lovely. I am grateful to you for allowing me to stay here during my visit." She set her bag down on a bench and took a deep breath of the old, Earthy scent. It was perfect. "But, I must know, why are you allowing some stranger to stay? Would it not be dangerous?" She looked between the prince and the bat maid.
