Eclipse hums a bit more, he seems eager to meet his bond mate. He continues nudging her a bit within the link as well, still trying to show her where he is.

Umbra let out another little cry in response to the voice. She tried poking her head through the shell but she needed her rider. Her egg wiggled and rolled over some.

I am here but you are not very little my little one. Now let's work on this shell a bit more.....Do you have a name that I can call you?Mystique patted the shell encouragingly as she knelt down beside the egg.

Call out again so that I can pin point which egg you happened to be.... there sure are a lot of eggs in here..... I wonder how many there are in this cave.... Ixonia spoke to her dragon as she tried to figure out which egg was hers. Could you rock your egg a bit for me?

Eclipse starts thumping at the shell with his hind legs causing for cracks to crisscross the pearlized egg. {I am Eclipse and I am here} With another thump he manages to break the side of the egg. With a bit of wiggling his head pops out. Large black eyes stare at her and small ears prick forward at Ixonia. With a happy sounding chirp he climbs out of the egg and sits up looking at her. He is currently the size of a rabbit...he actually sort of resembles one with his hind legs being longer then his front, a trait that will change as he gets older. His body is covered in wet white fur, much like a penguin the fur will come off to reveal pearlized and dove grey scales. His wings are white and feathered, and his tail with a fur tuft waves back and forth. {What do I call you} he is hungry and that hunger goes through the link, but he seems focused on knowing her name.

"You are so adorable! You may call me Momma. Which one do you prefer?" Ixonia took a bit of meat out to feed Eclipse before she start to toweling him off. She petted him with her other hand.
"Do you like meat? Or do you want bits of fish of fruit?"

She was so very happy to have her very own dragon. She would take the best care that she knew how to do. He would grow up to be strong and very handsome. She wondered what kind of a dragon he was.

"Do you know what kind of a dragon that you are?"

I looked up at the new comer after putting down the 2nd scroll. "Bessie I was just wondering how many scrolls there were altogether?" I asked as I waited for the third one as the newcomer was reading the first or second scroll I was not sure.

"There are six in total. But it is the lecture that you missed and need before you will be allowed in the Hidden Valley of Dragonopia. One of the scrolls is a true to life blood contract which will be made with your own blood." Bessie spoke calmly as she took a few scrolls out of the cubicle.

Eclipse tilts his head and gently takes the meat. He chews and swallows before looking up at her. {I would like to try some of the others} He seems curious...maybe he will turn out to be an omnivore. {I am a ice dragon} His small nostril slits flare as he sniffs at her. He wasn't sure what he would call her yet, he will figure it out with a bit of time though.

Umbra pushed at her shell. Um... Umbra Pushing with all of her little might, she managed to make the shell crack. She clawed at the edges, making the thin, but yet sturdy material crumble away. Umbra pushed her little head out, eyes opening up, taking in the new found light. She looked up and saw Mystique. She let out a little squeak in delight and stumbled over to her rider's hand. The little hatchling was covered in jet black scales, wet from her egg and little bits of shell still hung on. She had little horns jutting out above her ears. The only things of color was the purple hue of her leathery wings and soft tail of fluff. Umbra displayed the small spines around her jaw that originate of from her kind. She will grow into them. Though a bit smaller than some other hatchlings, she believes she'll grow up to be the toughest.
Hungry, Umbra nibbled on Mystique's hand, suckling it. Momma! Momma!

Ixonia offered him some fish then placed him on the floor.
Eclipse, sweetie, I want to dry you off so that you don't get a chill. I am putting the containers of food in front of you while I dry you. You may try any thing from the cups. In a bit we will go home after I gather everything.....

Umbra, my little love, I have food for you. Take a sniff and let me know which one that you prefer to eat. I have plenty more at home too. I'll dry you off so that you don't get a chill...... Mystique placed the little dragon in the basket so Umbra can choose what to eat. She then began to dry the little hatchling off.

Umbra stumbled a bit, trying to get use to standing. She sniffed at the food, feeling the cloth against her scales. It was all so new but she felt comfort with her momma next to her. A pungent, yet enticing odor filled Umbra's nostrils and she moved toward the food. Umbra spotted the fish and took a bite from it. She fell back after she tore a bit off, paying attention to this new thing in her mouth. It tasted quite good and she stood up to continue eating.

Eclipse chirps and goes to the cups. He grabs a piece of fish with his front paws. After throughly sniffing the piece he bites a piece and eats it. With a look of acceptance he then grabs a piece of fruit and does the same. As he bites into the fruit a bit of the juice gets around his mouth and makes it look like he ate paint. With a happy look he goes for the rest of the fruit then goes back to the meat. {I like the meat and the fruit best} He tilts his head back to look up at her while she dries him. His large ebony eyes seeming to take her all in. He then proceeds to yawn, and stretch a little.

The Lore Master smiled as she cared for her hatchling. She only wanted the best for Umbra and she seemed to be enjoying the fish. She gathered the egg shell bits up so she could use them should Umbra get sick.Are you ready to go home, Umbra?

Is my Eclipse ready to go home? I have plenty more at home. I am eager to take you and very excited as well. Ixonia had picked up the egg shells like she was told to do and was ready to go.

Riaox took a long and deep stretch, "It feels great to be freed from that egg shell." He tried to shake off some off some of the egg goop.

Lance grabbed a towel, "Here I got you little buddy" Lance dryed Riaox. Lance thought that the other eggs must have hatched, it was a bit chilly though right now. "Well Riaox, we will be residing in this cave so if you have any needs just ask me" Lance said taking a seat at the table. He watched as Riaox study his surrounding area.

Riaox walked around sniffing the cave and all the furniture, he was curious of the world around him.

Umbra looked up at Mystique happily. Yes! Home! She moved around in the basket. She put her claws on the edge of the basket and peeked over the side. Her tail moved side to side excitedly.

Mystique chuckled and stood up. She made sure that she had everything. Hold on tight, we are leaving now. I am a busy person but I will always take some time out for you, Umbra. Maybe not at the time that you want it but as soon as I can. You will meet a lot of other hatchlings and will get to play with them.

Bristle groaned, this one was even looonger than the other one. Argh, even worse this one was a history lesson. Still he set down to it with a steely determination, think about the dragon. Bristle took a deep breath and laboriously pored over the text for several minutes, letting loose a sigh of relief when it was finished and taking a cracker out of his pocket and munching it down. "There is that all?" he asked, seemingly rather worried about the possibility of even more reading.

Umbra let out a little roar in response, but it sounded more like a squeak. She couldn't wait to meet more of here. Where there more things like momma? Did the other hatchlings have mommas? Umbra was too excited to wait that she fell over from wagging her tail too much. The cloth in the basket rubbed against her nose and made her let out a soft sneeze. She yawned and decided to curl up in the blanket.

Eclipse nods and chirps. He holds his front paws up as if asking to be picked up, much like a toddler would. His white fur is extremely soft, much like a rex rabbit. His paw pads being a light blue gives him an overall adorable look. He seems fine with the cold.

Being an ice dragon will mean that I will need to keep you cool not warm. I wonder what else I need to do with or for you... I do know that I have the most adorable dragon. And you really are mine.... all mine for ever and ever.. I never felt this way before. Ixonia spoke happily as she picked up Eclipse and walked out of the volcanoe.
