"Well, at least it is something that I can do and then I have a way of supporting myself. And I'd make sure to report the news as accurately as possible. Besides that, maybe Count Dracula would understand the need of being independent. And maybe even my fear......" she spoke softly.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "You don't need money to live as a vampire," Dracula said. "I've been living without for many years, independently."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"What if I want a pretty dress or something? I know that I can't eat chocolates or pizza but I do like to keep up with a few new clothes. And what about if my laptop or camera breaks down? I'll still need money to get new ones, don't I?" Mystique reasoned.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "Trivial things," Dracula's father said. "Nothing but trivial things... one point of the Noble Eightfold Path is called 'right mindfulness': You don't concentrate on such material things. You don't need them to be happy."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula
"Being a female means that I dress nice for someone special and to have a someone special, I will need to catch his eye." Mystique grinned.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling The father smiled as well. "There are Buddhists who look like bald stick figures wearing paper bags, and they find partners." "Even I found someone, and I am a bald stick figure," Ioan added.

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"So I need to become a bald stick figure to get a mate...... Maybe find a large paper bag then I can find love!" Mystique teased with a smile.
"Let's see a blue paper bag might do the trick. Now to find a male."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling The father smiled. "I think that orange is more in with Buddhists, but blue - why not?"

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"On the serious side though, didn't your wives want something new from time to time?" Mystique asked.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "No," the father answered. "Not those whom I've met after I became a vampire. They all knew that material things are trivial, and that they won't fulfill you on the long run... they'll make you want more, and this makes you unsatisfied."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Then what am I to do with the money that I earn? If I give all of it away, why should I even be anything? I am so confused....." Mystique frowned.

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "You don't have to earn it any more if you decide to live without it," the father answered. "That's the point." Dracula, who had woken up, agreed. "I only really need mine for Toma's medical equipment... although I'm convinced there'd be a way to get that without money."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Would it bother you very much if I bought a few pretty things from the villagers? Not only will it make me feel better, it will help the villagers earn money as well."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "You don't get it, do you?" Dracula asked. "Of course, you can go and buy things. But this won't make you happy on the long run. Neither you nor the villagers. It gives you a good feeling for some time, but it'll make you want more and thus increase the suffering..."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Thanks. I doubt that I'll spend much since I have more in the storage unit. But if I should need something, I don't want to have to ask you for the money. Most of it will go to the bank.... which I need to set up one of these days. I'm going to call and find out about the photographer position." Mystique smiled then walked to a chair where she talked to a person and took notes.

@Aisling Dracula's father shook his head. "I doubt that you westerners will get it... there are around a million species out there, and the human-like beings are the only ones who believe they need money."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula

"Perhaps so. All that I need are a couple decent pantsuits, good supporting shoes, my camera and case and some kind of a jacket to ward off rain and cold. All of those I already have in my storage unit. Not that it does me any good here. I start on Monday for a trial period. How am I to get my stuff here so quickly?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling Ioan smiled. "It should be at the castle now. I could get you there to see whether we've got everything."

[Aisling]

@CountDracula
"Wonderful! It was a small storage unit so as you probably saw there is very little there. More books than anything and my doll with her clothes. Several suitcases of clothes and a box of old photographs. But yes, I'd like to double check and make sure that all of it has arrived. Thanks loan."

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "I didn't see it, and I'm sure we can store the books at the library," Ioan answered. Then, he teleported her and himself to the castle. "It should be in the entrance hall."
