@Aisling Oh, 'Murica... where you actually get suspended for everything. I wonder why in Germany, it is still seen as the most liberal country in the world. Here, we see that we don't swear in front of children as well, and there are some rules for films:
- Rated 0 and rated 6 films may be shown all day long.
- Rated 12 films mustn't be shown before 8pm.
- Rated 16 and rated 18 films mustn't be shown before 10pm.
It's mostly horror movies and porn that's rated 16 or 18, in order not to traumatize children. Also, 'rated 16' means that people under 16 mustn't watch those movies (well, at the cinema at least... *innocent whistle*), no matter whether there's an adult with them or not, and they mustn't buy them on DVD/blu ray/... either.
We can't get guns that easily either, so we don't need to worry too much about them. We don't need the guns either. Who wants to be able to defend against someone else takes courses in self-defense. If you do it correctly, that works as well as a gun does, and there are much less dangers to it. For example, children can steal guns and accidentally kill themselves while they can't steal self-defense skills...
