[OOC] Changing Lanes

After graduating high school a group of six friends have pulled together enough money to take a 9 hour road trip from Chicago, Illinois to a small camping resort in the northern parts of Brainerd, Minnesota. The resort is called Lost Lake Lodge and has plenty of amenities including but not limited to:

• Private beach
• Hiking trails
• Boat rental
• Indoor plumbing

It sounded perfect for a bitter sweet way to spend time with one another before all going their separate ways for college the next year. The group will be staying for about a week in June, and taking part in actual camping experience of sleeping in a tent. There is a main lodge just a few steps away that has electricity, rentals, a gift shop, a small cafe, and thankfully- a working bathroom.

• This will be a mature roleplay- but, please follow all the RPG guidelines.

• Be creative. Let’s have some fun with one another!

Our characters have been a group for at least 4 years! Discuss these details privately or in the ooc with one another before the roleplay starts :)

Biography
Sean grew up with two loving parents who during his childhood gave him most things he pointed at. His family weren't rich or anything, but having a lawyer for a mom paid the bills and was enough to make sure their boy was happy. Sean got the toys he wanted and as he grew up and found an interest for singing they paid he got the singing lessons he wanted as well. But having a mother who was a lawyer also meant that he quickly learned to follow rules. She was strict, but most of the time Sean didn't mind. It taught him to appreciate everything he was handed in life.

In school he was mostly liked and quickly found friends. Or at least other people viewed him as such, he just didn't reciprocate their feelings. It felt more of an obligation to be the one others wanted to be around, like he was the pillar of the social hierarchy in school. He joined all the clubs someone with his status should join, and though he didn't dislike them, he didn't really feel passionate about them. Except his singing of course, and basketball which he quickly took a liking to.

After the coach almost kicked him off the team for his lacking skill in the sport, one of his teammates (another roleplayer's character maybe?) offered to help. The coach gave Sean one more chance to prove himself at the next game. And with the help of the teammate, who became his first genuine friendship, he slowly improved and when the game approached their team won and the coach, though barely, let Sean stay on the team.
The teammate introduced him to his group of friends (the others in this group of friends?) and Sean quickly found his place among them. But not everyone in the group was welcoming , which he quickly noticed from the glares and small comments thrown at him. He couldn't really do much about it, since, he by that time, not only had found more friends in the group, but also fallen in love with his teammate. He knew how fragile social structures could be, after all, he had been the center of a few himself, and didn't want to do anything to disturb that balance.

But now, years later when the group have decided to go on one, last roadtrip together, Sean knew that time is running out and soon their little group of friends will go their seperate ways. Maybe it is finally time to reveal his feelings before it is too late...?

Biography

Harry was born and raised in Chicago, going to school there and eventually attending high school. At the age of seven, he had a near death experience when he almost drowned while swimming, and he came out of it with hydrophobia. Anyhow, throughout elementary and middle school, Harry was bullied and became a social outcast until his sophomore year. It was then that he met most of the others in the group, and started to socialize more. As he hung out more with the group, his personality grew. He began to think he was better than most other people, even his friends, but still proved to be a good guy to hang around. Even if they don't want him around, the group is just stuck with him now...

Biography
Booker grew up, living with his uncle Virgil, a police officer, in Chicago. His parents were not a good influence in Booker's life being drug addicts and on the other side of the law. Being related to a police officer made things difficult and left him not allowed to get involved in anything that could get him in trouble, but...that never stopped him from sneaking out to have fun. Booker, throughout his youth got involved in many sports. Football, Basketball, wrestling, boxing, baseball, you name it, more than likely...he was involved but that was to "keep him out of trouble" as his uncle puts it. Virgil was the closest thing to a father he's had.

Booker was average in school and with the help of his girlfriend, he's managed to survive the high school but he did have worries about college. Booker have always wanted to travel and this trip was just what he was looking for. With himself and his friends and girlfriend by his side, this should turn out memorable.
