Rak's human form is nothing special, but certainly nothing bland either. He tends to cross multiple styles quit often and very inrestingly. Although he longboards his favorite shoes are sneakers or boat shoes. He never wears socks either so flip-flops are also common for him as well. He fights the smell in his shoes with baking soda rather than wearing socks. He really dislikes denim so he is always wearing some form of cargo pants or khakis or occasionally even dress pants. He claims they are comfy, so it's not uncommon to see him doing things like climbing a tree in boat shoes, dress pants and a sweater. He likes shorts that come to his knees and other than that it's a shot in the dark as to what style he'll wear. Even when exercising he wears basketball shorts, because he like how they are longer. Even though again most say soccer shorts are much better for running. He doesn't like to wear many layers, at all. This is why he also likes sweaters. Jackets aren't needed if the sweater is warm enough, and quite often if he is feeling lazy and thinks he can get away with it, he'll only wear a hoodie or jacket out. T-shirts are common and he occasionally wears tanktops. He likes some name brands like Nautica, but really likes finding obscure name brands that aren't over-advertised. Really how he dresses himself comes down to max comfort without looking like a slob. His style really comes out to be a cross between skater, hipster, and preppy all in one. He has no piercings or tattoos or outstanding features in his human form. He can transform completely into a blue humanoid dragon though. He has the ability to change certain features as he wants as well. If he wants horns and a tail as a human he can do that. If he wants a scaly back and claws he pull only those out as well. In fact Rak hardly ever goes full dragon. It tends to ruin his clothes. Especially the tail, although very powerful can be very embarassing for him as well.

The dragon bloodline have very strong beings. Physically Rak is very strong. He always wanted to be the fastest around so his legs are significantly stronger than his arms. The combination of these and his wings give him a tremendous speed and jump. He can't fly but his wings do allow him to land softly from any height even while holding someone. He can breathe underwater and endure tremendous pressures and rapid pressure changes. The dragon bloodline also came with a few powers as well. Rak can manipulate and change the temperature of liquids inside of him or with his tongue. He mostly uses this to spit ice bullets or boil water, though he does try spitting out an ice rose to impress girls sometimes. He also has a limited control of weather in that he can create a fog around him almost any time he needs. Finally Rak can also manipulate the liquid parts of blood. This gives him some enhanced healing and resistances. He can share this with others, but his manipulation comes from inside of him so his tongue has to be in contact with the blood, leaving most resistant to his help unless very dire.

Rak has a very strong need for water. Although he can carry a large reserve of water like a camel, using his powers dehydrates him very quickly. Dry and arid areas are very bad for him. He can change his internal organs and his powers are always available, but improved armor or claws require him to change.

He tries not to be a showboat, but with his active nature he never lets a challenge go and come across as one sometimes. He's slightly OCD having a set way for certain things. He has often explained that it is him clearing his sinus and not laughing innapropriately. He only drinks before and after his meals. Rak grew up next to a beach with his two parents. His father was a rich businessman and as such worked a lot. His mother was stay at home and would take care of Rak and the house. Even though his father was normal he knew of the dragon bloodline. Ever since birth there was a good chance he had dragon genes. They began to show themselves around the time he was a toddler. It started by manifesting scales and other physical features. His mother quickly began to train him to control even these simple powers. As he got older he quickly mastered all his mother could teach him. His mother's brother lived nearby and visited a few times teaching him more control. Soon he got eager to learn more about his powers and began to visit Chorazin and get training at his residence. Sometimes spending the weekend training, Rak enjoyed becoming more powerful.

As Rak grew more powerful a problem began to present itself. Chorazin had warned him not to use any powers around others, but his competitive nature tended to get the best of him at times. Rak never hurt anyone fortunately, but Chorazin saw how he needed and outlet. He trid his best to teach Rak self-control while giving him a way to use his powers, but Rak needed to be able to use them more freely. Chorazin remembered attending Vigilante Village and thought it would be perfect for Rak. The camp was exactly what he needed. His powers were able to be used more freely, and he was able to grow exponentially. Chorazin saw how Rak was surpassing even himself and did his best to make sure the power wouldn't run to his head. A dragon's blood is a very danerous thing for a human to control. This will be Rak's fourth year at Vigilante Village.

|In Depth Appearance|

Tsela stands at 5' 11", and weighs 174 lbs. He has light caramel colored skin, with dark piercing eyes. Long, about mid back, messy black hair that's usually either untouched from when he woke up or pulled into a loose pony tail to get it out of his way. Broad shoulders, leading to muscular arms, and a well defined torso, narrowing at the waist line. Long legs leading to perpetually uncovered feet. Generally, Tsela dresses in vests that are left open, with some light decorating, and pull away stripper pants for ease of access when transforming. While in human form, his other skins show as black tattoos on his back, on his right wrist he wears a bracelet that has the teeth of a coyote and cougar, as well as interspersed with crow feathers.

Tsela has three additional shapes he can change into, the first is the coyote. From nose to tip of tail, Tsela is 4' 10 and weighs 38 lbs. Due to the northern climate his fur is predominantly white and black, and thick for warmth. The guard hair s along his spine, and shoulders are a mix of black and white, appearing gray, but as those slide down the ribs and towards the under fur it starts to appear darker, the blacks and grays out weigh the white. Some reddish brown runs up the sides of his narrow muzzle and onto the tips of his ears. Some more reddish brown is on his flanks, and upper thighs. His under fur is predominantly white with dark spots.

The second shape is a crow. Standing at 18 in and weighing 21.7 ozs. Wing span of 37 in. Coloration predominantly black, but along the wings it goes inky purple, and through midnight blue. And the current last, but certainly not least, the cougar. He stands 33 in tall at the shoulder, and 7.4 feet nose-to-tail. Tsela weighs 214 lbs while in the Cougar shape. His coloring is mostly a tawny color, though his face is marked by dark lines. Along his shoulders and back you can see faint black shapes. Under belly is a paler shade of the same color on the rest of his body.

Shape shift/skin walk/yee naaldlooshii - take the shape of any skin that has been worn during a specific áńt’įįzhį rite.

áńt’įįzhį - Witchery Way or Corpse-poison way. Curses, spells, rites, and ceremonies using the powdered corpses, most notably the bones, to achieve particular results. Generally used to kill, sicken, or hamper enemies.

'Iińzhįįd - Sympathetic magic, the use of an object containing some part of a specific individual, hair, nails, blood, flesh, bone, etc or a highly regarded personal object, to work magic on the individual. These are generally curses, but just about any work both harmful and beneficial can be done with it.

"Mind control" - A specific form of ’iińzhįįd which allows the ánt’įįhnii to force the victim to perform certain tasks. However it is not true mind control, it is purely physical, difficult to perform, and unless constantly worked will collapse freeing the victim and allowing them time to fight back.

"Snake eyes" - Once enough forms (10 or so) are collected the ánt’įįhnii(witch or skin walker) has the power to temporarily freeze an opponent by looking into their eyes. This is due to the fear response and can be fought against if prepared for it, or if the individual is either stronger or naturally resistant to the effect.

He can also use the strength or speed of animal shapes while in human form, for short periods of time. So for instance with the cougar shape, while human he can make the 5.5 meter leap, however afterwards he'll be tired, and needs to eat to replenish lost energy.

During a transformation, Tsela is vulnerable. Between the pain and time taken there is roughly half a minute where Tsela is open to attack.

All spell work (or sings) are time consuming or must be prepared in advance. For instance ant'j (corpse poison) can be thrown during a battle, but must be prepared prior to it.

Silver is poisonous to Skin walkers, a little can break the enchantment holding the skin their in, consistent contact or silver within the bloodstream can poison or kill a skin walker(I'm including this to offer additional limitations but I did find a few sources that stated this, may not actually be true lore.)

There are several ways to prevent an ánt’įįhnii's works from effecting you. Some are as follows: A ceremonial, or "sing" can be performed to counteract a witch. Often this is a Protection way sing, but sometimes the full Night Chant is used.

Spruce is used in the "Shooting, Witch, Lightning and Night Chant" ceremonies. The wood of the limber pine is used to create the small bow and arrow used in the Witch and Shooting Chants.

New Mexico giant hyssop is used by the Ramah Navajo to protect from witches, and a cold infusion of orange agoseris is also used by the Ramah Navajo for protection against witches. The Ramah Navajo use cold infusions of the root Littleleaf pussytoes, and smalleaf pussytoes for protection as well. Pygmyflower rockjasmine is used by the Kayenta Navajo for bewitchment and pain from witches' arrows.

Most importantly, if you know the full name of the skin walker, look them in the eye and say it they will sicken and die within three days unless they can get to their áńt’įbáhoołan, a sacred and secluded location where they perform most of their áńt’įįzhį work.

Tsela is free spirited, and intelligent. He is open minded and generally calm, however he is quick to anger and swift to punish. He is loyal to those he is close to and will go to the end of the earth for those he cares for. Everyone else can pretty much not exist as far as he is concerned. He is greedy and self interested, unless he sees specific situations. these situations are hungry or abused children and close friends in need. He cannot abide an abuser, and will go to great lengths to punish one.

Tsela is gentle with people he cares for and enjoys taking care of them. Cooking, giving them massages, pretty much whatever they need. However, he is difficult to become close to, he can be aloof, rude, and violent to strangers and acquaintances. He is slow to trust, and will not stand for betrayal, but once you have his trust he gives it completely. He is dead set on reaching the state of clizyati, which is the highest level of priesthood, which is a master of all forms of curse work. He also hopes to learn more of the medicine man ways, hoping to become equally powerful in both making him nigh on impossible to beat. Overly cheerful people can bother him greatly, but if they become close he enjoys their presence for the simple joy of contentment. Tsela also hopes to research other forms of magic to see if they are compatible for him to use, however he doubts it.

|History|

Tsela was born in a small Navajo tribe in Utah, while he was young he was chosen by the then medicine man, Atsa Hataalii, to become the next medicine man, his name would have become Tsela Hataalii at that time. Growing up and being taught the ways of healing and protection, the knowledge of herbs and trees, rocks and streams was his greatest joy. However he had a cruel abusive father. He verbally and physically attacked both Tsela and his mother on a daily basis but the tribe did not know of his crimes. When he was 13 years old during one of his father's attacks on his mother she was knocked unconscious. Tsela grew angry and attacked his father . Tackling him to the floor of their hogan, he repeatedly beat him with a piece of wood. His father died, and he screamed for help.

The tribes people rushed to their hogan, wondering what had happened. Upon entering, they found the unconscious woman Tsela kneeling over his father's dead body. Tsela claimed self defense and explained what led to these events but the tribes people were wary of believing him. They took him to the village center and tied him down saying that when his mother woke if she corroborated his story then he'd be free to go. Tsela was certain that she would, he freed them from their tormentor. But his mother betrayed him, claiming he attacked her in order to murder her for the first step in becoming a ánt’įįhnii. That her husband was killed defending her. She named him yee naaldlooshii, skin walker. Glaring at her son she said clearly "If my people do not kill you, I will hunt you down and destroy you. You killed my husband for twisted powers, why? Why have you committed this crime?" Shocked, Tsela collapsed, he couldn't believe she's done this to him. Lied to the entire tribe. And for who? That man?

The Chief roughly dragged the boy to his feet, glaring into his eyes, he growled his full name, his new name into his face. For everyone knows that skin walkers will die after this. Tsela tried pleading his innocence, but they cast him from the tribe. Beating him, and calling him witch. But the Chief stopped them from killing him, saying that he would suffer those three days before death drags him to a shallow grave. Casting Tsela from the village, broken and bleeding, Tsela prayed for death, for absolution. But no god answered him. Tsela crawled into the forest, not heeding his path and collapsed at the base of an old, twisted tree.

Waking up, Tsela found himself in a cramped cave, an old woman bent over him. "Ashkii, why have I found you in my territory?" Watching her warily, he told her his story, and she grew angrier and angrier the further it went. Twisting from him she thought for a few moments. Pacing she opened her mouth, and said "I am Clizyati, I am vengence, I am Ił hóóyééʼ. Give me three years as your master, and we will destroy them. And Tsela...Tsela couldn't say no. He was full of bitter hate for them all. He wished them suffering and death. So he agreed. "Come Ashkii, I will treat your wounds. Then we begin your training." "Thank you, Clizyati, thank you."

Three years passed quicker than Tsela expected, it was close to his 17th birthday, and they were planning a joyous celebration. Clizyati has agreed to teach him the ways of yee naaldlooshii, he would live his name. Bear the curse he was born in. Clizyati explained patiently to him how he must hunt and kill a beast of the land, and bring it to their áńt’įbáhoołan, their sacred place, and she will teach him the rites. With her help, he hunted down and killed a coyote. Dragging it with them, they entered their sacred place. She explained how he must skin the animal with a dagger made from the bones of an enemy. And she handed him one "Ashkii, this came from your father, your kill that brought you onto the path of áńt’įįzhį, nothing would be more powerful for this rite." "How?" Smirking the woman shook her head, but did not answer.

Skinning and preparing the hide, Tsela began a song asking for power from the coyote offering it a second chance at life by his side. Begging for his vengeance, for the life he lost. And for three days he continued with the song, as Clizyati prepared, and ground the bones. Making a specific curse, the curse of yee naaldlooshii. Cupping her hands in the bone dust, she started singing her own song, tossing it and rubbing it into the fur and skin of the young man in front of her. And she watched as the bloody fur seemed to move with the boy's unconscious rocking, his voice ragged and yet still raised in supplication. Pride blossomed in the old woman's bitter heart. And her voice was strong as she lay the curse on him, and then the sound of breaking bones and screaming filled the clearing. Moments later a coyote stood in Ashkii's place. The rite was done, he was a skin walker now.

Leaving the clearing, she took the form of a bear and led the boy back to the village to lay his demons to rest. Rushing through the village they destroyed everything in their path, trampled food, destroyed the hogans of the people, and slaughtered the Chief and his family. They were searching for his mother when Atsa Hataalii stepped in front of them. Flinging his hands, a beautiful cloud came forth, glittering in the air. Tesla lower to the ground just got a light dusting, which caused a burn to spread through his shoulders, but Clizyati received a face full and fell back choking. Her form shriveled to that of an old woman once again. Stepping forward Atsa grabbed her and shouted "You destroyed him, this is all your fault, and you will die for it!" The burn through his shoulders was unbearable, jumping up, Tesla ran off. He has been on the run ever since, collecting skills, and skins when he could. He came to the Camp in hopes of having some short peace, an dc time to prepare to avenge Clizyati. He has just arrived.

Naming in the Navajo tribes is basically based off of what you do, who you're related to, what you are, where you live, random stuff. Ok? And so a lot of people's names literally translate to medicine man or something similar. (For instance Clizyati named herself High Priestess, Tesla she named boy, the medicine man's last name literally translates to medicine man.) The first step to becoming skin walker is committing a taboo of some kind, incest, necrophilia, or murder of a family member, usually a sibling. Yeah the first two squick me out, so I went with the last option.

|History|

Khloe was a demon goddess of a long forgotten realm. She was worshiped by millions out of fear of her wrath and absolute authority. She specialized in war and death, often favoring those who would sacrifice themselves to her for victory on the battle ground. She had immense power, including teleportation, shapeshifting, time traveling, portal creation, and could pull the life out of anyone she encountered. She was believed to be immortal and reigned for thousands of years. Eventually it was discovered that she retained her immortality by deflowering men and stealing their purity. She would call a virgin man to her bed every night and replenish her health. The priesthood that served her, with the exception of the high priest (called Qua'ha Xahn), found out this information from ancient texts she had hidden. Angered that she would hide this from them, they quietly plotted against her and tricked her by sending a woman dressed as a man to her bed one night. Khloe was fruious and murdered the woman when she found out. The priesthood hid and Khloe became so obsessed with finding them that she didn't realize her own powers were waining. When she was on the brink of death, her Qwa'ha Xahn found her and transported her to the human realm of Earth to hide her.

Once on earth, she manifested the appearance of a human girl. Because she was trapped in a human body, she no longer held most of her powers. Khloe was unable to regain her strength, shapeshift, time travel, create portals, or cause death. She held on to her ability to teleport as well as her goddess enhanced senses and fighting abilities. Her Qwa'ha Xahn took on the name and appearance of a man named Victor, swearing his eternal allegiance to her. They traveled for months around the realm of Earth while Victor trained Khloe in the ways of the world. During this time, she fell in love with humanity, appreciating their creativity, passion, and devotion to the things they cherished in life. Eventually they heard of a camp created to keep humanity safe. Khloe knew that this was a place for her. She begged Victor to take her for training but he was hesitant. Khloe was having a hard time letting go of her previous methods and he feared she would hurt, instead of help, those she was determined to save. Nonetheless, Khloe was too stubborn to let it go and convinced Victor that the camp was where they needed to be. They've arrived and Khloe is excited to start their new journey.

Ana is nothing of what her family expected. Being the baby of the family she was given free rein of her own choices and soon devoted a style to herself. Her hair being the first thing she changed from the usual her family had. Instead of the long braids she got a short bob cut. Her hair a natural brown, not uncommon in her family, she never dyed her hair leaving it alone. Unusual about her was her emerald green eyes. Again being what she is they seem impossible yet is isn't. Her eyes an emerald green with what others describe as embers of orange speckled in. Her body is a build regular for her kind, tall and lean with small curves subtle but still there.

Her fashion sense is that of her own. Hats usually being included in the mix. Mostly more casual clothing than her uptown type family would have enjoyed. Finding a patterned sweater and jeans to be a favorite outfit for colder months. Warmer months include worded t-shirts and jeans or shorts. The occasional dress is tossed in the mix when she is feeling fancy and/or it is warm enough for her to not be frozen while wearing said dress. She has no piercings or scars on her humanoid form as she is still young and has not faced what would give you scars on both forms. Tattoos are a different thing, and without revealing what she is she has only one. Which is the mark all phoenixes in her family are given. A Tradition started long before she was a thought the small phoenix shaped tattoo was first given to a child in her family. The marking placed at the shoulder facing out to the front of her body.
Her pheonix form is her mostly used form when with family. The phoenixes in her family vary greatly in appearance from the others. Such as one side of her family has pompous head feathers, while her fathers side has pompous tail feathers. Which means each of her and her siblings have a mix of either one, both or none of these traits. So the family becomes more diverse as it grows. Her Phoenix appearance is sleek and maneuverable. Three head feathers stick up to the back while her pompous tail fans out behind her. Her feathers are a brilliant yellow. Transformation into her other form involves fire so beware away flammable things. She usually doesn't change forms.

Anastasia is young hearted and adventurous. Fueled on by her grandfathers vivid tales of his adventures around the world and the vibrant cultures he found. Her mothers side is caring and happy but she retained only the happy portion of this finding herself to take any opportunities to better herself if they are presented and easy enough to take. Her fathers side is more devious and cruel, but they are also wealthy business owners giving her that business deal making side. She appears always thinking of a new plan for adventure. As the baby of her family she was allowed to basically raise herself. Disliking makeup or hair dyes. In which her older sisters loved. She found herself more drawn to boys style and sense hanging out with her grandfather in his study where she earned her passion for adventure. Her grandfather also taught her basic skills in deception and business tricks. She doesn't exactly care if she betters the world around her, learning from her grandfather that humans make too many mistakes to fix and that it was easy to take advantage of them.

Still being young her parents knew not how to contain her growing rebellious side and so tried to instill virtues into her. Kindness towards allies was one of the virtues she picked up on. Along with lack of vanity. She didn't pick up on many of the other virtues. Without her parents knowing her grandfather had dismissed many of them as acts that should be known widespread and that if everyone didn't fallow them she shouldn't either. Her brothers loved their little sister and treated her like one of them. Growing her rebellious adventurer side more as they allowed her to do things her sisters would never.

She is usually thinking of a new plan to explore. Even if humans had explored the earth she wants to do it for herself. Unstiffled by the claims of just reading books. As they aren't the real thing and could possibly be wrong. She finds others accounts of things boring unless they are vivid. Result of the storytelling her grandfather has corsed her with. She knows of most large human conflicts and can tell you how silly they were to be fighting about the cause.

|History|

The reason as to why Anastasia was bornhatched is a fairly tragic incident involving the oldest son of the third generation Dresden family. The fateful day when he was murdered, drowned in a frozen lake to be exact, by a rival Phoenix family; to which their oldest son also drowned in the same lake during the summer months. The Dresden's in though of keeping five children for each branch of the family allowed her mother and father to produce a final child. Anastasia knew what she was from the time she was old enough to change forms. Being the youngest by a long shot, 50 years to say from the second youngest, she was always going to be the baby of the family. But her parents having already raised five children before her allowed her siblings to raise the dear girl. That duty passed about through the family till she started enjoying her grandfathers company at age 6.

Ages 7-10 were spent listening to her grandfathers stories of travel and the work he used to do as a young phoenix. He would spread maps about on the grand table and send her off on search missions through old books to find parts of history. Since her family are wealthy business owners she lived a life of luxury in a old-fashioned stone castle the family has built back when her grandfather was like her. She learned first hand that experiences are better in person than in books which sparked her need to travel and be on a constant adventure. As her teen years started as she was drawn towards the classroom. Focusing on her studies. Exceeding in human history and geography from the years she spent as a child playing adventurer with her grandfather. She had already seen how their reincarnation ability worked, her grandfather was shot and 'died' a few days before high school started for her. Like all phoenix's his body went up in flames and he flew away as a small baby phoenix with darker feathers. The feathers indicating how old he actually was. -The chain starts as a brilliant yellow and slowly turns to orange then to a red. After red it starts to become more hectic with details of black and brown coloring in after long reincarnations. -
Her mother wanted her to become a better creature than the rest of her family and sought off for her too go to this camp. Ana only saw it as a new place to explore maybe meet new interesting things to record.
