Tamaki rose, just smiling at her as she walked away. After all of that fuss she'd made, Ky had still enjoyed it in the end. And he was very glad. However, he could not dwell on her for too long; there were many guests awaiting him. He couldn't be so rude as to ignore them.

The blond proceeded to take another guest on his arm, but couldn't help glancing at Ky one last time before the next dance.

Mimori dipped her head, red-faced from a mixture of excitement and embarrassment from being so close to the boy she now knew was her crush. It wasn't good, she knew it. Kaoru was a Host and close to his twin and... Her heart was going to suffer for it. She knew that.

She curtsied back to him, stepping to the side as well. Hikaru was here already. That had been quick. He certainly hadn't taken the samw time that Kaoru had with her. She smiled to them, before turning back toward the crowd. "Have fun," she said. There were a good couple of girls looking at the two excitedly.

Ky ended up finding some food, and eventually Amaya. She spent quite a bit of the ball with her friend, though the other girl was dragged off to dance a few times. Ky politely turned down any others who asked her to dance - she wasn't particularly interested at the moment. She would just watch for the moment.

She ended up talking to a few other ladies, though she found it difficult to relax talking to people she barely knew. It was so difficult to keep her language appropriate... But she just about managed. Even as she talked to others she kept on glancing towards the dance floor to see if she could see Tamaki.

She got more tired, and reclusive as the night went on, heading out of the main hall nearer the end to find somewhere quieter. She just needed a moment to think really. She didn't always do well when socialising for long periods of time.

"I will make sure to, you also enjoy yourself," Kaoru smiled at Mimori before he was dragged off by Hikaru. The two spent the rest of the night together, whether it was dancing or talking to other ladies. Many of their fans liked to see them together.

Still Kaoru found he wanted to spend more time with Mimori. He wanted Hikaru to be there as well, of course, because it would be nice for both of them to make a friend that wasn't each other. Unfortunately he didn't have much of a chance with having to fulfil his host duties. It was a shame.

Tamaki, meanwhile, had danced the night away with many a girl on his arm. There had been waltzes, as well as faster dances and one particularly sensuous samba. It was quite appropriate that he'd made sure that every Host knew at least five different types of dances when they'd joined. One could not be a gentleman by skipping a dance with a lady!

However, all gentlemen were human and eventually he had to admit defeat and fatigue. He kissed the hand of the lady he'd just danced with, before turning away and into the crowds. He patted at his forehead with his handkerchief, cheeks reddened from exertion. The room was hot and crowded, and the blond was glad to step out into a cool hallway. Phew. Three more dances, and then the final dance. He'd rest until then. Maybe, if he could...

Oh. Speak of the devil. Tamaki grinned, raising a hand to wave at his first dance partner who was also taking a break in the hallway. "Hey!" he greeted her, stepping forward. "Having a good time?"

Mimori had made sure that she wasn't bored for the rest of the evening. She stood with one of her friends - the one who sometimes came with her to the Host Club. They chatted and laughed, sometimes looking out at the twins. To be honest, she felt a little twinge of jealousy when she saw Hikaru and Kaoru so close together. If she could be that close to Kaoru...

Then, a boy asked her to dance. She joined him. Another after that, and another. She enjoyed herself, thinking logically that she must find someone else that wasn't a Host, or attached to someone else. And although they were good dancers, something was missing from them. Eventually she came back to her friend, smiling but still not feeling quite the same as the first dance. The night was starting to draw to a close now. Soon they'd be heading home.

Ky had been resting slightly against a wall, just staring forward and trying to relax a bit. Part of her just wanted to go home now and sleep. She was, quite frankly, exhausted and had to get up early the next day to meet with the friends she was meant to meet tonight. Of course she didn't feel that she could leave early. That would be rude of her.

It took her a moment to notice another presence, turning her head to look at Tamaki and smiling slightly. She was relieved when she saw who it was. She wasn't sure what she would have done if it had been Amaya.

"Hello," she responded, turning to face him. "Yes, I am, I'm just taking a slight break from... people. I assume you are also?"

The twins were taking a break from dancing, as most of the host members were, for the ones leading up to the final dance. They were both a bit breathless from all the dancing but had certainly enjoyed it.

After looking around the various heads Kaoru ended up subtly moving towards where he saw Mimori, eventually managing to reach her with Hikaru in tow. He smiled at her in greeting.

"How has your evening been? I hope you dancing some more," he smiled, Hikaru raising an eyebrow at his twin upon realising where he had been dragged. He wasn't sure what Kaoru's motivations were for talking to Mimori... And he wasn't sure what to think about it.

Tamaki was thrilled to hear her affirmation. So long as his guest was happy, he was happy. In some ways, he was a rather selfless person. He leaned against the wall, giving his head a small shake at her question. It seemed that she was an introvert, if she couldn't take a lot of people for a long time. Meanwhile, he was just about the definition of an extrovert.

"Nah. I'm just a little tired," he admitted, patting his forehead again with his handkerchief. Blowing up his cheeks, he then let the air whistle through his teeth. Phew. "Dancing is hard work, y'know?" The blond laughed at himself, straightening his posture. "But I'll be going back in for the last dance, and then it'll be over until the next one. I'm not sure who I'll be taking for my last dance..." His violet-blue eyes slid sideways at her, a small smile tilting the corners of his mouth.

There was a small thrill in Mimori's chest as she heard the voice she'd been secretly waiting for. Twirling around, she was admittedly quite pleased to see Kaoru - but still with Hikaru, who looked a little unsure. She hoped she wasn't getting on his nerves too much. Anyway. She pulled her hair through her fingers slightly nervously, nodding with a smile.

"A couple of boys asked me," she admitted. "I've enjoyed it so much, although the best dance was the first with you." It took a second for her to realize what she'd admitted, and she cleared her throat, blushing a little. She was already a bit flushed from all the dancing. "You two seem to really enjoy dancing with eachother."

"I can imagine that it is quite exhausting to have been dancing all night," Ky responded, sounding slightly sarcastic. Of course it probably was, but when she had been really into sports she had done far more exhausting things over longer periods of time. But then again that was hardly a standard she could hold everyone to.

"Well hopefully you will find someone... appropriate for the last dance," she spoke in a neutral tone, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her when he spoke. Part of her would love to dance the last dance with him but they had had the first dance so she was sure there were many more appropriate ladies for that. "I'm sure you will have plenty of choice."

"Kaoru is quite good at dancing, so of course it was," Hikaru put in, peering over at her from behind his twin. He seemed to be trying to remain neutral. He wasn't going to stomp on whatever plans his brother had. "And we enjoy all time spent together."

"No need to boast so much about me, Hikaru," Kaoru laughed. "I am glad you enjoyed the first dance so much, I enjoyed it also. And yes, Hikaru and I have always enjoyed dancing together. We learned together, you know, because we refused to dance with anyone else." He smiled at the memories. "So will you be finding a partner for the last dance? I'm afraid I will have to dance with Hikaru, otherwise I would offer." Of course he did want to dance with his brother and Hikaru wouldn't allow him to dance with anyone else for the last one.

Tamaki chuckled at her teasing. Ky really was honest. It was refreshing, for a change. He loved being fawned over - in fact, he encouraged it. It didn't mean that he wasn't aware of what it looked like, and what it really was. Although he thrived on attention, sometimes it was a little tiring. Someone like Ky, someone who just saw and said it for what it was... Now, that was something unusual in his world.

"Hopefully, I will," he replied, waggling his eyebrows in a slightly cheeky manner. "The last dance is the one that everyone actually remembers, of course. The rest... they are just a blur. But I remember every one," he sighed, flicking his fringe with one hand dramatically. He turned to look at her again, a princely expression set in place - regal, romantic. "I cannot think of any guest of mine who wanted to dance, who hasn't danced tonight. And yet, only one stands out from the rest..."

Mimori blinked at Hikaru's input. That was a little bit... harsh. Like it couldn't be good for the reason that she was a good dancer? She was a slightly tempted to say something but - this was Kaoru's brother. Besides, she was here to learn how to get along more with boys, not argue with them. She shook his head at her question. She hadn't quite organised anything like that yet. To be honest, there was a little bit of disappointment in her heart. She would have loved to dance with Kaoru again.

"No, I haven't. Maybe- are any of the Hosts free for the last dance?" Realising that was probably a, 'no,' she gave her head a small shake again. "If not, it doesn't matter. I'll just watch you guys. It's almost as good, anyway."

Ky laughed at Tamaki's somewhat odd eyebrow waggling. She wasn't really sure exactly what that was meant to mean. It was funny to see, however. "So everyone only remembers the last one, yet somehow you remember them all? Is that not a bit contradictory?" Ky raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at him, though she couldn't help but smile. He was being overdramatic, but it was something about him that she had grown to like in the short period of time she had been properly talking to him. All the other people she was close to were very down to earth. It was a change.

"And who is this lucky lady, then?" Ky folded her arms, tilting her head to look up at him. Part of her hoped he meant her. but that couldn't be true - he had had his first dance with her anyway. It wouldn't be far for them to dance the last one together too.

Hikaru didn't notice that Mimori had been put off by his words - nor had he really meant for them to come across as harsh. He was quite socially inept, after all. Though he could hurt others if he really tried... He just wasn't going to hurt a girl that Kaoru seemed to want to be friendly with. Even if he was feeling slightly jealous about it.

"Hmm," Kaoru looked thoughtful at her question. "Well Tamaki will undoubtedly have a line of ladies waiting. I doubt you'd want to dance with Kyoya. Mori or Honey might be free, though! We'd have to find them... And I'm not sure it would be much of a dance with Honey." He laughed slightly. Honey was so short, after all. "But it is up to you, of course." He looked slightly apologetic about the fact that he couldn't dance with her.

[Tokara]

Tamaki laughed too, seeing how his words fitted. "Of course - I am very special," he chuckled along too. Although, that wasn't so much of a joke. He really did hold a high opinion of himself, for the most part. He couldn't see why not. He was loyal, fun, clever, playful... Ah. The list could go on, but then he'd become all starry-eyed.

"You haven't guessed?" Twirling off the wall, he came to a standstill in front of her. Dropping to one knee, he dramatically took her hand between his and looked at her imploringly. "My lady, I am but a humble, lonely, undesirable man... Would you do me the honour of the final dance?" he asked, a twinkle in his bright eyes.

Mimori shrugged, looking thoughtful; any one of them would be a good dance. Except for maybe Honey. Mori, with his tall stature and silent ways, might be elegant to dance with. Kyoya too, for slightly different reasons. "I think a dance with Mori or Kyoya would be lovely," she smiled. They were both neutral to her, in any case. Unlike Hikaru.

She swept her gaze around the room, and it landed on Mori - who was just asking a guest to dance with him. The guest squealed, just about jumping up and down with glee. The scene was heartwarming, if a little disappointing. But then she saw Kyoya, who was leaning against a pillar and scribbling something down in his black notebook. "Kyoya looks free..."

((I was thinking a dance with Kyoya could be interesting, as he could kind of notice the attraction and how she picked them apart.))

Ky couldn't help but roll her eyes when he spoke about being special. He really was an idiot, and a self centered one at that. She didn't think she'd ever met anyone so full of themselves. Then again there was a lot of things about him that seemed quite good. Ignoring the fact that he was an idiot, of course.

"Oh," Ky looked somewhat shocked, also trying to refrain from laughing as he dropped to one knee. It was almost as if he was proposing... It was really rather dramatic. "I guess that I will, yes," she responded quietly, biting her lip. "Though... You really need to make up your mind as to whether you are special or undesirable. And I certainly don't think you can call yourself humble!"

"I'll go check if Kyoya is free," Hikaru offered, something that Kaoru hadn't exactly expected. The slightly older twin headed quickly over to Kyoya.

"Just try not to get dragged in by Kyoya's marketing ploys," Kaoru laughed as Hikaru began to head back over with Kyoya in tow. "He'll try to sell you anything."

Tamaki rose from his place near the floor, grinning triumphantly. Perfect! Now he had a partner for his dance, and not just anyone. He offered her his arm, then started making his way back to the hall. "I don't need to make my mind up," he said joyfully. "I'm indecisive too!" He laughed at himself; it was kind of true. The bit about not being humble, too.

Mimori blinked as Hikaru headed off, very surprised by his action. That was unusually kind of him. She subconsciously hovered closer to Kaoru in the crowds, glancing up at him as he spoke. "I'd noticed," she replied, also slightly amused. As Kyoya arrived, she moved forward toward them with a backward glance and a smile at Kaoru. "Thank you for asking for me, Hikaru," she said, suddenly feeling shy - not toward her new partner, but toward Hikaru. Why had he done that?

Turning her attention to Kyoya, she was honoured as he held her hand and gave it a light kiss of greeting. "Hello, I'm-" "-Mimori, yes. I remember all of our guests," he said pleasantly.

((Do you want to take Kyoya or should I? I'd personally prefer you to, but I don't really mind if not x3))

Ky laughed slightly as she took the offered arm. "I guess that that's acceptable," she glanced over at him. "Not everyone can be perfect and decisive, can they?" She was teasing him slightly. Though she tried not to make it obvious she was looking forward to this dance with him. She had enjoyed the last one with him after all.

"It was no problem," Hikaru responded with a shrug, glancing over to Kaoru. He'd gone over to ask because it seemed like Kaoru would be happier if Mimori was dancing with someone. Though Kaoru himself didn't seem to recognise that... And also Hikaru had been worried that Kaoru may not want to dance with him. "We better go onto the dance floor, Kaoru, the final dance is about to start."

Kaoru nodded, turning to smile at Mimori. "Have fun!"

"It would be best if we followed them," Kyoya spoke to Mimori, offering her his arm to lead her onto the dance floor.

Tamaki snorted softly, dipping his head. It was slightly ungentlemanly - but he was a teenager, after all. However perfect he might be, he couldn't be that way the entire time. Opening the door for her, he then followed her through. The band was just finishing their second-last song, and he gently placed a hand around her waist. He smiled across at her reassuringly as the crowd parted for them.

Once again, he took his place near the centre of the dancers. There were some normal couples as well as Hosts, and he noted Kyoya's partner with a small amount of interest. That girl had been visiting the twins, he remembered. Now she was with Kyoya? Hm. Interesting. But there was a girl who was far more deserving of his attention. He moved into position, raising his hand to take hers. "Here we go."

Hikaru's kindness had truly surprised Mimori. She hadn't thought that he'd ever do something so kind for her. It was... strange. She raised a hand to wave at Kaoru as he spoke to her. "Thanks, you too!" she called back to him, before turning toward Kyoya. He was a gentleman as much as any of the Hosts, in some ways even moreso. She slipped a hand around his arm, holding him gently. After all, she didn't know him that well.

"Thank you for dancing with me," she said as they came into position. "I really enjoy dancing, and I... appreciate it."

Ky stifled a laugh as they both re-entered the ballroom. She would have to act more lady like again, in the company of more than just Tamaki. It was the thing she disliked about gatherings among the upper class. There was so much pressure to act a certain way. She wasn't entirely used to it and it didn't really come naturally to her.

Smiling at him she also raised her hand as they took their place on the dance floor. "Hopefully this will go as well as the last time!"

Hikaru and Kaoru both took their place, which was a bit away from Mimori and Kyoya. Of course all of their fans eyes were on them, delighted at getting to see another dance where the two of them were partners.

"It is my pleasure, after all you are a guest of ours," Kyoya responded with a charismatic smile. And her interest in the twins could certainly make the club some money if he could market certain picture collections to her. "I noticed, earlier." Kyoya tended to... pay attention to guests of note. He moved slightly so he raised the hand that now held hers, and put his other around her waist. "It is good that the twins did not scare you away after what happened last week."

Tamaki chuckled, moving a hand to take her waist. There had been some jealous looks from his guests, most certainly - a girl who'd had both the first and the last dance. He might have to have an excuse up his sleeve - he wasn't exactly supposed to show favouritism. And yet, he was drawn to Ky. How could a princely king not follow his heart?

His grip on his waist was possibly a little more familiar than before, and he twirled Ky flamboyantly at one point before moving closer again. He was leading again, but he could feel how she moved better this time around.

Mimori was nervous about dancing with him - in addition to being older, Kyoya was also the type to be naturally intimidating. He wasn't aggressive, no; he just seemed powerful. And attractive. It was a most dashing combination. The shivers that went down her spine at his touch weren't quite the same as they had been with Kaoru. These weren't shivers of attraction or chemistry. These were shivers of anticipation, the feeling of not knowing what he'd say or do next.

"Oh - that? Yes, it was a little upsetting," she admitted, glancing away from Kyoya with a slightly pink face. The whole thing seemed embarrassing now. But could anyone blame her? "I probably overreacted a little, due to previous experience." Her voice was quieter this time. She didn't really want to explain that bit. "But - I'm very glad to be a guest of yours. I've learned a lot about talking to boys!" she laughed.

Ky almost lost her footing as Tamaki twirled her out, but managed to not fall over. That would have been quite embarrassing. She could tell that people were watching them and some were none too happy about him dancing with her again. She wasn't sure why she cared.

She found it easier than the first time, however, relaxing into the dance and letting Tamaki lead her. She couldn't help but smile. She definitely didn't regret turning up here. But still, the somewhat jealous gazes were making her a bit uncomfortable. "Some people aren't happy about me dancing with you again."

As the music began Kyoya easily led Mimori about the floor. He was quite a good dancer. After all it was required of being a gentleman of his status.

"It is fine, the twins were the ones at fault anyway," Kyoya responded. He had certainly given them a talking to afterwards. They couldn't prank the guests. "We are honoured to have you as a guest," he glanced down at her. "It is rare that someone is able to tell the twins apart, after all."

((I'm sorry, I've been having a horrible time and my muse just disappeared... But it's back! Still feeling a little uninspired about this RP, yet I still want to write it. Any ideas? Think we should skip? Hmm. Sorry it's a little short!))

Tamaki chuckled gently, blond bangs falling across his face as he looked down at Ky. "I can understand that," he said lightly, despite the way his heart picked up its pace. He always got like this around girls he actually liked - even his cheeks were reddening slightly. Although he was terribly out of tune with his own feelings, he couldn't but help it... "Everyone had had their turn, and you were there when I needed a partner." It sounded a little like a lame excuse. Maybe it was. And- "I kind of wanted to dance with you again," he muttered, glancing away from her.

Mimori glanced up at Kyoya, slightly taken by surprise. He'd noticed that? In her moment of distraction, she tripped - regaining her balance a moment later by gripping onto Kyoya's shoulder. She blushed red. After all, she didn't know him very well... "They're individuals," she said quietly, summoning the courage to look up at him again. "I noticed their differences, although they're very small. Their voices are different. And Kaoru is, well... I get along with him better."

(We could maybe skip to the going to the beach or something? Dunno xD)

"Hopefully most will understand," Ky laughed, though she wasn't sure why it would bother her so much. normally she didn't let those kind of things bother her at all. Maybe it was because it was so much more people and her parent's would be annoyed if she gave a bad impression. "Well, uhm, I'm glad that you did... I'm enjoying myself," she responded, slightly more quietly than normal. Since when did she get shy about talking to people?

"That's certainly interested," Kyoya responded, not commenting on her tripping but clearly noticing it and judging her somewhat on it. "Very few people notice that. Though it is quite obvious that you prefer Kaoru..."

The dance that night ended on a high note, and it was a source of talk for many a week at Ouran Academy. Two persistent topics were that of Tamaki dancing with the same girl for both the opening and closing dance, and Kaoru actually splitting from his brother for the opening topics. Who were they? Why were they special? This was what the girls muttered, jealousy seething from them. Mimori even found her best friend a little cold for a week or two before things turned back to normal.

Mimori continued seeing Hikaru and Kaoru at the Host Club - although admittedly, she came mostly for Kaoru. Every time that he gave her a little bit more attention than his brother, every time his eyes met hers and he smiled, her heart skipped a beat. It was impossible to wish for something from a Host, but how could she help her herself? He was so... perfect. When summer rolled around, Kyoya visited each guest when they came in to proposition the Host Club beach vacation. She signed herself up straight away, one of the first. Her friend declined due to other plans - but Mimori was not too worried. It was a chance to make new friends. And an excuse to spend more time with Kaoru.

They'd just arrived by the private beach resort, after having been escorted there in fancy cars from the airport. The fresh salty sea air was a welcome change from that of the city. Sighing softly, she walked forward to where Tamaki was waving about his arms. Kyoya held a clipboard, looking cool as always.

Tamaki was most terribly excited about this beach vacation. The Host Club, plus a beautiful landscape? He'd only end up looking even more princely and handsome! Besides that, it was an opportunity for more time with his beloved guests. In particular, one had been standing out to him. Ky. The girl had become a regular visitor ever since he'd charmed her. There was something different about her, from the way in which most of the guests fawned over him.

Having stepped out of the first car, he walked with Kyoya to the front of the resort. He waved his arms to signal their guests to approach them. There were only about 20 of their most dedicated visitors - after all, they couldn't very well house the entire female population of the school. He smiled brightly at them. "Right! There's a room for each person to themselves. Except for our Hitachiin twins, of course." He couldn't help selling that angle. One or two of the largest twin-fans sighed dreamily. He gestured ahead of himself, allowing the guests to go first. "Please, pick a room and get ready for the best vacation of your life, ladies~" he sang out.

((I was thinking that Ky and Mimori meet and become friends? Rooms across from eachother?))

Ky had found that she was more happy about going to the host club. She enjoyed spending time with Tamaki. And of course she had signed up for the beach vacation. She hadn't been to a beach in a long time and she was sure that it would be fun enough. Though, of course, it was looking to be something of a new experience. What with the fancy cars and the whole part of it being a private beach. That certainly wasn't something that she was used to. She had only been to public beaches. Of course her parents had been delighted at the idea. Unfortunately Amaya had been unable to come so that left her... a bit friendless.

She couldn't help but laugh as Tamaki waved his arms about in the most ridiculous manner, pushing her phone into the pockets of the jeans that she was wearing. She'd been in the middle of texting a few friends who were teasing her quite relentlessly about how posh she was getting. It was... somewhat annoying. She listened carefully to what Tamaki said, frowning slightly. Choose a room? Well, it would hardly matter since they were all undoubtedly the same. Maybe different views. She didn't really care.

Ky waited for a few of the other girls to go first. She took one of the last rooms left, taking a quick look at it before going and hanging around at her door. She wasn't too sure what to do now.

Kaoru and Hikaru stood just behind Tamaki, both wearing identical mischievous grins. They were quite looking forward to this vacation for all the wrong reasons. There were plenty of pranks that they could play on their leader while they were away. It was certainly going to be fun.

Kaoru smiled slightly at Mimori as Tamaki gestured for the guests to go ahead. He also gave her a slight wave, earning a slight roll of the eyes from Hikaru.

"Hope you're looking forward to this vacation, Tamaki," the two spoke in a joking tone, grinning at him as each one appeared on either side. Most of the guests had found rooms, and were settling into those.
