Jen looked down at the line about dinner. A tear moved down her face as she sat down next to the wall. She let out a calming breath, followed quickly by a sob.

Well this seems pointless. Hmmm. Maybe I can try actual words with this light briefly...

Using light, and all of the energy she could muster, the words Morse code appeared towards them for a few seconds. Veronica then slumped against the wall. Barely conscious, Veronica looked to see if they got the message.

"Uh..." He wasn't exactly sure why she was crying all of a sudden. 'Maybe I was a little too harsh?' Kiiros doesn't know how to deal with upset individuals, he often revels in another's suffering and doesn't exactly know how to feel bad for someone. Which is pretty useful considering his job is to kill and exploit people. He swallowed a lump in his throat and looked at her. "So um..." He wasn't sure what to do. "Let me try this again... what are mutants?" He relaxed his expression to try and look less threatening in-case the reason she was crying was because she's scared.

He glanced back at the woman in the other cell and actually saw words made out of the light. 'Morse... code?' He doesn't know how to react. He doesn't know if these people are dangerous. He looks at the woman with uncertainty.

"Mutants are individuals who have developed abilities due to changes in their genetic makeup," she said through tears, "Some have viewed them as gifted, whereas some view them as cursed."
Her teeth gritted on the past few words.

[Varicke]

He can see she's really distressed. 'Wait a minute... abilities as in powers? Oh my god.' The realization dawns on him. "I'm.... I must also be a mutant then. So then, wait you have powers? Like that woman does? Or is your power different?"

Jen looked away.
"Yeah, I have powers. But I wish I didn't, " she looked at him, her blue eyes staring at him, "Do you know what colour fear is?"

[Varicke]

"That's... cryptic..." He tilted his head at her. He thought about his many victims and how they always paled with fear. "Um... white?"

James let out a low groan as he woke up, gripping his head from the splitting headache he had. Last thing he'd remembered was some idiot trying to mug him then when he'd refused the bastard tried to shoot him in the skull, of course with his reinforced bones all it did was knock him out though. He winced at the memory. Guess the guy had reported him...damn. He looked around the cell, trying to ignore the pain of his head ache as he got up.

"Its blue," Jen said bitterly, "anger is red. And hatred... hatred is black."

[Varicke]

He felt like she was giving him hints of some sort, like a puzzle. 'Blue... her hair and eyes are blue...' He pondered on it for a minute. 'Something with emotions... her powers perhaps?' Breaking out of thought he looked at her. "You have powers relating to emotions? Something like that?"

"I absorb peoples life force. Their emotions affect how I look, what it 'tastes' like," She said, "Now go and run away like everyone else does."

[Varicke]

Feeling a little relaxed, he stops tensing. 'That doesn't sound too bad...' He walks up to the glass and knocks on it while looking at Jen. "You forget. I can't exactly run even if I wanted to." He walks up to her and immediately feels an aura of dread radiating off of her. 'Wow, she seems to really have it bad.' He folds his arms. "If it makes you feel any better, I kill people for a living." Thinking it was a totally normal thing to say.

James walked up to the glass of his cell, though his appeared to be thicker and slightly different than the others, probably so he wouldn't use his abilities to break out and escape. He frowned slightly as he looked at the other cells, examining the people in the ones that had someone in them.

Jen squeaked and backpedalled.
"What? Why would you want to do that?" She said, her voice louder for the first time they'd met.

She looks shocked. 'Crap I'm stupid.' "Er... never mind.." Kiiros watches her for a moment longer before walking to a corner by the glass wall and sitting down. He releases a sigh and looks out through the glass to see a man with white hair in one of the cells. 'How many of us are there? Why are we here?' He watches the man for a while and slowly notices more individuals in some of the other cells. 'Mutants huh? Are we the equivalent to monsters? Is that why we're locked up in here? .....Because we're different?' He rests his head on his arms on top of his knees and wonders if it's too late to return to his regular life, unsure if he'll even get out of here.

Veronica was half asleep at this point noticed someone else in another cell. She was close enough to be able to use some energy from the hall lights. She sent the message to the new male figure in Morse code "Do you know Morse code?"

Veronica was getting really tired and decided this would be the last attempt until she could gain more power.

Jen started to shiver slightly in the corner. Her tears had dried up, and she looked a lot calmer, but still she shivered, the small spasms growing larger.

He glanced at Jen. "Um... are you cold?"

James blinked as he noticed the hall lights, then frowned slightly as he recognized it as Morse Code. Of course he'd learned it when he was younger so he and his friends could get away with goofing off easier, and he looked over to the only one who seemed to be looking at him at the moment, and gave her a quick nod.

"No, its nothing, " Jen said almost robotically, as if it was something she said often.
