Damien's expedition into Jennifer's past was something she wanted to do but didn't for whatever reason; she decided to let Damien make head way and chip in where she felt like she should.

Veronica was holding her stomach laughing quietly to herself, not because of what Jen said, but Damien at that moment. It was good to have a solid answer and have that for certain knowledge.

Damien kicked himself, why did he have to be so insensitive about these things.

"Sorry, I uhh, shouldn't have asked. You probably don't wanna talk about it now." Damien said. If Jen didn't want to, then Damien had to cut off now before he runs his mouth like an idiot again.

Jen shrugged.
"I don't mind really. Its part of who I am. I'm not proud of it, per se. But I was happy," She said, a smile on her face.

Damien nodded. Now THAT was fair enough. "Happiness is what you make of it. What did you do outside of... y'know, 'work'." Damien asked. Did she even care about hobbies back then?

"Read books. Watch films. That sort of thing. I worked a lot," She said, leaning back in her seat.

Damien nodded again. "Uhm, yeah. Right." Was he pressing too much? Had he already pressed too much? This next question might not be the best to ask. "Uhm, this next question. I don't want to trigger anything, so if you don't want to answer it, you really don't have to, and I'll stop. Okay?"

Taking a break from laughing at how awkward Damien was. "I read a lot of books to, I prefer more classic Horror, You?" Books by Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft were the greatest treasures she had.

Veronica sat in bated breath at this question. Damien was certainly willing to ask questions and delve into places she would not wish to, for several reasons.

"A bad thing happened, and I lost control of my powers," She said, falling silent after that.
