Maru the Deer Faun

Mundane skills: Maru is highly skilled at tracking and hiding, she's an expert with a bow and sword and her leader skills are adept as well.

Powers: Maru has element powers, she can make rock move, plants move and conjure and control fire as well as the lesser ability to communicate with animals.
The Deer Faun have these powers to better help nature, the ability to move rocks helps the Deer Faun make homes or homes for other animals. Fire they use to clear out dead brush or to give animals proper burials. Maru can move plants and control the way they shape, if a tree is growing sideways Maru can right it.

History: Maru grew up deep in the jungle in a tribe, the deer faun are like satyrs but taller, faster, more agile and of course have deer antlers, ears, legs and tails, they generally live up to two hundred years old. They are a close knit group that tends to the old jungle, helping it grow and thrive. They are like savages in the fact that they've never before seen civilization, they aren't a hostile group, being that it'd take a lot of effort to make a deer faun attack you, they had humans enter the jungle before and they simply retreated further into the wood without notice, though they will defend their home and tribe if attacked.
Maru lived a long time in the confines of the jungle, she was leader of her people, the tribe had a human with them, a scientist that had been adamant about learning their ways, she'd spent a good year at the edges of the tribe waiting for them to get used to her presence, studying them, jotting things down in a note book. When the epidemic hit, even the human alone in a mass jungle with a bunch of deer faun fell into the coma, then the plant like aliens came, wrecking havoc to both the forest and the tribe, Maru was the only one who'd made it out, their elder telling her to run and never look back. Maru ran, ran far on her long elegant legs, she ran until she happened upon civilization or what was left then hid.

Mundane skills: Alnnar is a Master Swords man and a hardened warrior having fought in many battles over his long life time. He is also very adept at Navigation. Living most of his life as a nomad, wandering the deserts he learned how to navigate by the sun and stars seeing as there were never any landmarks. Besides that he needs little to sustain himself so never had any reason to learn more skill then that. He is also very good at tracking, though mostly only in deserts where he feels more at home.

Powers: Alnnar is a warrior, and uses the fires inside of himself to fight, able to produce and control his own flames, but fire that is no his he has no power over. As well as being very strong and agile. His body can even turn to smoke and he can hover above the ground. Not flight but he can use this guide his decent. Once in his Released form, his strength grows immensely at the cost of his agility, also the fires inside of him grow hotter and can no longer be contained in his body flicking off of him and making his hands and feet glow red hot, making him unable to touch anything with out destroying it.

History: As man was created of the Earth, Angles of the havens, the Jinn were made of fire. The Jinn were more akin to humans though, having free will and live in societies much like humans. Though unlike humans they are immortals and broken into five races: the Marid (the strongest type), the Ifrit, the Shaitan, the Jinn, and the Jann (the weakest type). Once reaching maturity they no longer age and can not die of natural means. Alnnar is an Ifrit and has walked the earth since before history. Being a Ceaseless wanderer he has never belonged to any tribe or kingdom of Jinn or human. Choosing instead to wander the deserts of his homeland and working as a mercenary of sorts. Though as time went on and the Jinn turned to my and legend, caring little for humanity and living in the unseen world. Alnnar chose to say on the physical plane.

He watched as mankind changed, soon tribes became kingdoms, kingdoms became nations. Fact became legend, legend became myth and the world grew larger and larger, but soon started to shrink once more. But he kept his wandering ways often time not coming in contact with humans for hundreds of years. He would return to villages he once visited to find massive cities, the friends he had died hundreds of years ago. Soon people from all corners of world started coming, offering trade and commerce. Great crusades and Jihads rose and fell, and Alnnar watched it all. Sometimes selling his swords as well.

Though as the world erupted into war once more he simple vanished. No longer in contact with humans, choosing to stay to his desert.

Angel

Name: Angel
Species: Vampire
Civilized or uncivilized: Civilized
Appearance:

Mundane skills: Angel is excellent at tracking, using all her senses to help aid her. She is also very skilled at fighting with her kendo sword and fluent in most languages. She is also an ex assassin of humans, a hitman for hire, doing this job, caused her to gain new skills such as stealth and special traps with ways to kill a man in every different way possible.

Powers: Angel has many powers, she can use a form of blood magic, like covering her sword in poison blood, and can actually control weaker beings then herself. She can run faster then others and has a much faster reaction time.
When she releases her true form, she is capable of much greater control of others, faster and uses more occult blood magic spells.

History: Angel was 19 years old in the year 1487 when she was encountered by a strange man who turned out to be a vampire, he turned Angel who had lost her name to the ages, she was a delicate girl who turned to her animal side as she couldn't stop feeding on humans, on her 20th year of feeding she learned she was more then an ordinary vampire. She could walk into the sun without being burnt and no longer needed blood to survive. She absorbed so much blood she became a rare species of her kind. She used her new found powers to try and blend back into society however her past caught up with her.
Angel dawned a name, Leela, and she fell in love with an honest man. She came back to their quiet little home burnt to the ground with the kings guard surrounding the homestead. She had been caught out, the killer of the prince. She was hunted like a pig and eventually she was captured, weakened by the life of humans. The humans tortured her for years, trying many ways to kill her. Thirty years of torture before she manged to escape, killing everyone and leaving her human life behind. Embracing her true life, she dawned her new career. The life as turned her into a smart, cunning and cold being, capable of making impossible choices. She does however earn for an eternal love.

Byis Phrug

Name: Byis Phrug
Species: Yeti
Civilized or uncivilized: mostly Uncivilized (like a Hermit)
Mundane skills: Byis is a master tracker and has an uncanny spatial awareness allowing him to track a polar bear in a snowstorm. He is a decent shot with a gun and has been known to shoot down birds around his home. Byis's greatest ability is his sparring capabilities, there's a reason why it's abominable snowman and not abominable snowmen.
Powers: Byis has strength greater then his proportionate size allowing him to display amazing feats of strength such as lifting boulders three times his size with little effort. Along with his amazing strength he has very dense bones and muscles making it harder to actually harm him than a normal animal. Byis is also capable of generating cold fields around himself or others, essentially making a certain spot's temperature drop by several degrees. He can also channel the aforementioned power into more concentrated blasts, basically allowing him to shoot snow (or in prime conditions, ice) at enemies. Although not actually a power, Byis always carries around a human made hunting rife for when his freezing powers are ineffective and he can't get within punching range.

Full History

Byis was born into the small sect of Sasquatches living in a cave in the Himalayas a few thousands of years ago. The Himalayan Sasquatchsee were cast out from their previous tribe of 'Squatchs due to their horrible hobby. The SasquatchEd of the Himalayas began calling themselves Yetis to tell themselves apart from their former tribe. Byis was the last Yeti to be born before the group's untimely demise. The Yeti's regularly hunted the primitive humans that lived near their home for sport, much to the displeasure of both the humans and Sasquatchsee. Byis was brought up to think of humans as nothing more then animals and thought that killing them was no different than killing a goat. Byis was one of the weaker of his clan so he didn't regularly get brought along to hunt humans but that didn't stop him from seeing them like animals.
One day when Byis was much older he managed to get separated from his group while going on a hunting trip that he was rarely allowed to participate in. Due to his lack of experience outside of his home, Byis couldn't find his way back home. He was beginning to loose hope when he managed to come across a human town. Looking for a meal and not a fight, Byis did his best to keep into the small village but was spotted almost immediately by one of the residents. Both were stunned with fear as Byis was a giant lumbering beast and the man was carrying around one of the new 'Boom-sticks' that hunters had told stories about. Neither moved for a long time, simply staring at one another, awaiting their end but when neither was struck down they came to the conclusion that the other didn't want to get into a fight. Suddenly something happened that completely changed his perspective of the human. The human before him spoke. Byis was stunned once more, how could an animal like the human speak his tongue? Byis and the human managed to form an uneasy bond in the few hours that they were together and shared their culture's opposing views on each other's people.
Hours turned to days and days turned to weeks and soon Byis had been staying at the town long enough that everyone was somewhat adjusted to him. He had learned so much from his human friends and decided that what his people were doing was wrong. Eventually he took an oath to stop his kind from killing off anymore humans, permanently.
Byis scrounged up some towns folk and they took to the mountains, looking once more for Byis's home in the hopes to put the Yeti scourge to an end. With much effort and countless man hours the group happened upon Byis's home. The band of men and monster knew that they likely couldn't take the group head on but they did know a way to take out a good chunk of the population, if not all of them. Using the humans' explosives, the group managed to cause an avalanche above the cave entrance, trapping the monsters within. Now with no home Byis was invited to live in the village with the human which he gladly agreed to. As time went on the humans' bred and died but sadly they ultimately died out all together leaving Byis Phrug as the last of the village and also last of his kind.

Name: Eth Tenshi

Species: Blood Weaver formerly human.

Civilized or uncivilized: Civilized when he isn't having a mental or emotional break down.

Appearance:

Mundane skills: Innate muscle memory, he experiance a movement once and he generally remembers it and can mimic, this includes offensive, defensive, and mundane movements. Natural lie detector, slight computer skills, he can repair and boost computers as it really is not that hard. General trouble shooting, not everything has an answer readily, but even the secrets of space will unravel with time.

Powers: Most humans have twelve pints of blood, it would be a shame if you were to assume the same of Eth since his blood is nearly unlimited. While he can die, bleeding him out is not a realistic option, you would be more succesful to cut his head off, rip out his heart, or burn him in a deep fire. He currently has the ability to manipulate his own blood at least six feet away from his body, by form of crystalized blood, bone, flesh, and fluid blood. While he can regenerate and slightly heal others his ability comes with a mental and emotional toll of ten causing him to have migraines or bipolar like attitude.

History: Eth lived a pretty boring life most of his life, other than the drugs, fighting, and loud music. Not that he was a bad person, he simply wished to enjoy life to its fullest, sans the hard drugs, fuck the hard drugs. He had a personal rule not to try anything of the medium type more than once, twice a good while later if he liked it well enough.

As for fighting, well, that was simply to feed his body as much experiance as possible. You never knew when such things were needed, for example the apocalypse. Of which he had been in a coma for two months, and a month prior his body being prepared for something, a calling if you will. Shaping and molding him into a eternal being that had once been very finite, and when he first awoke his body showed little signs of larthagy. No muscle loss, no delayed motor functions, and best of all a weird sense of what his blood had been doing.

At first he was curious as to why he had awoken. He had never expected to see sun light again, not that he had seen sun light by any means. He had been semi crushed under the building that he resided, with a rather large pool of blood under him. At first he panicked after his curiosity, isn't this simply natural? Then in his hay wired state a surge of power erupted from around him pushing the walls and ceiling around him away.

Then came the creatures, but with as much blood as he had around him it was impossible for them to prevail as his instincts kicked into high gear slaughtering anything in his sight. With a miraculous memory of body he immigrated his abilities until he mastered the basics.

Finding that doing so made him famished for oranges, lemons, limes, or anything acidic really. It appeared to him that his body ran entirely off his own blood, and acids, but he occationally craved food. More for taste however, he will fall madly in love for anyone who can cook. Being that they are female of course.

Sytha

Name: Sytha
Species: Lamia
Civilized or uncivilized: A bit inbetween
Appearance:
She has sharp fangs and the ability to unhinge her jaw to open her mouth wider. She is about 15ft long.
Mundane skills: Sytha is quite strong and quick. She has a fundamental idea machinery and electronics. She has a venomous bite.
Powers: Sytha can conduct electricity throughout her and can absorb and store it inside herself. She also can do a form of hypnosis, usually to lure prey.
History: Sytha was hatched and raised in an underground lake. She would not often stray far from the water but she once came across a group of humans who wore strange gear and hats with lights. Sytha would watch these spelunkers as they took pictures and explored her home. She was able to seperate one from the group and lure him away from his friends. But instead of eating him, she found interest in him. Sytha would talk with him and tell him about her family and he would tell her about his family and where he came from. Sytha was falling for him. The man had to return to the surface but promised Sytha that he would return to take her up to the surface. So she waited by where they would usually meet. For several days she waited until she found where the entrance was to the surface that they would take.

Beastiary

Note: I have taken pictures from all over, and while you may recognize some, and know their original general mechanics, do not assume these mechanics are the same. I have changed some of their abilities to suite my story. I will make notes here as their abilities are experienced by the group.


Fish men
Displays no magical abilities. Amphibious, though, though prefers water. Worships a deity named Dagon. Stronger and tougher than average human, but not more than can be matched and exceeded easily.


Brain eaters
Humanoid with the head of a squid. Little is known other than it likes to eat the brain of intellectual beings. It will not eat the same brain twice. Asumed that it gains the knowledge from said brains.


Dream eaters
Some mix of intelligent insect. Extra dimensional/terrestrial. Telepathic. Cause of sleep. It is linked to the human DNA and wave length. The humans only have to be in close proximity to a sleeper to be linked, and hence sleep as well. Can exist in space. Killable if reached.


Sky devils
Insectoid. Size of a dog, though functions like dragonflies and praying mantises. The stinger on it's tail has to functions. To suck the life energy out of a victim, like a spider, and to implant eggs.


Forest Hunters
Animalistic, like a bloodhound. Used to sniff out anything alive. Size of a horse. Killable by normal means, though tough. Some pack hunting mentality.


Night gaunts
Messagers and transports. Extra dimensional. It is unclear who they are with as they will fight the other creatures as well as earth's. They enjoy music.


Shogoths
Maddening amorphous blobs from under the arctic. There are stories of such, but as it is supposed to be fiction, I don't know how much to believe.
