You find yourself lying on a cold tiled floor. The room is dark; there is only just enough light to look around. Around you are tall tables, stools, beakers, dark fluorescent lights hang above you. A lab. You do not know how you got here, nor where 'here' is. There is nobody around you. No scientists, no workers, nobody at all. Just you. There's something wrong about this place. Something happened here. Suddenly, floors and floors above you, a man screams. It's barely audible.
You need to escape.
Inspired by SCP-Containment Breach, Escape the Room games and text adventures. You find yourself in a scientific facility, and you need to escape.
How it works
- The GM will post, signalling the next turn, describing to the player what the player can see or hear, and some possible options.
- The player moves, or takes an action. Multiple actions can be taken at once within reason. (see below)
- The GM will post, describing the consequences of the player's decision, and any events that may have happened.
- Repeat
Notes
- Each player gets their own info when the GM posts, put in separate hiders. Players should not look at each other's info, so hands off!
- Players can interact with other players. If you and another player want to work together, or kill each other, be my guest.
- Collabs are allowed. If you want to prepare a conversation with another player, go ahead. Keep in mind, though, that it may take a turn.
- After you enter a room, you can examine it in more detail to uncover items, documents and other useful things, but doing so will take up your turn.
- BE CREATIVE! If you find a locked door, kick it open, or pick the lock, or pour acid on it, or find a battering ram. Not only keys can open doors!
Other questions
- How many actions can I take in a turn?
- A turn is about 30 seconds to 1 minute In Character. A character can grab an item and run into another room in a single turn. However, longer actions like filling a bottle would take a full turn. If you're not sure if something will take a turn or not, ask the GM.
- How long IRL do I have to make a turn?
- The next turn starts every Tuesday and Friday. (If this doesn't work for you, we can discuss this)
- Does anything interesting happen?
- That's a spoiler! ;)
- How do I win?
- You escape.
