@Sarpedon Fair enough. All I'm saying is, progression in the Adeptus Astartes is... slow. And probably difficult, since you need to make sure you don't die whilst getting up there. I'll admit that I hadn't taken into account the option of a higher-up demanding a current high-level leader to step down, so there's that.

@agentmanatee Glad to hear it. I should say, I've made a couple of minor edits to Valius' sheet since then, partially at the suggestion of somebody in my PMs: I've clarified that Valius' feat of injuring a Space Marine is primarily based on his good luck at the time and the Marine's curiosity about what he was planning to do, rather than being skilled enough to actively beat him outright; I've changed the thing that Valius used a titan to destroy from a Necron tomb ship to an Eldar wraithknight, as I've been informed that that's a more realistic proposition for a Volcano Cannon to destroy, with all related variables such as enemy race changing accordingly; and I've added a psychic hood to Valius' gear list, since upon thinking about it, that seems like a gimme for most librarians, let alone one who may or may not be particularly threatened by chaotic influences. I'd hope none of that makes his character less accepted, but I'll wait for a response before putting him in the Character tab.
