[OOC] The Gems of Earth (Steven Universe RP)

The Kindergarten, the birthplace of many gems that emerged around the time of the Gem War, is a large, bleak expanse of rock outcroppings lined with holes of various shapes and sizes. This place was created by the Homeworld Gems, meant as an experiment on creating gems. Many of the gems that emerged here were monstrous creatures, made from gem shards and forced to be fusions. Not only did they fail at making artificial fusions, but they also drained vast amounts of energy from the earth making them. Although, not all Gems that emerged were the grotesque abominations that Homeworld had intended to create. Some Gems materialized as a fully normal gem, and, for some reason, decided to stay put. These were some of the few gems who lived through the Gem War. Now, thousands of years later, those gems are emerging.

Rules

Stay active - If you're going to be away, RP it so that your gem is reforming or your human is MIA.
No godmodding or powerplay - Plain and simple
Be respectful - This includes in the Discord chat. Don't be a dick about absolutely nothing.
My word is law - If I explicitly state something, odds are it will not change. If you don't like it, grow up or leave. The acception to this rule is if I explicitly say "Subject to Change"
Please do not make an OC with the names of a character from the show - They will be introduced at some point.
To prove you read the rules - Write a quote from a Steven Universe song at the top of your CS. (In effect as soon as the OOC is up)
Each player is allowed up to 2 characters - exeptions for people who get a Cannon character later on in the story.

Carnelian

Appearance: Stands at about 5 feet.

Gem: A round, polished carnelian cabochon.

Gem Location: Forehead

Emotional Strength: Compassion
Emotional Weakness: Uncertainty of herself- this can make fusion difficult, among other things

Weapon: Can summon wings along her arms, but has no actual weapon.

Personality: Carnelian is a skittish, shy and easily-scared gem, but is also curious and asks questions of beings she's sure won't kill her. She can eat things in small amounts and doesn't mind, but is nothing like the pig Amethyst is. Likes lighthearted games designed for kids like tic-tac-toe and hopscotch and stuff like that. Hates violence, perhaps surprisingly, being a kind of quartz. If she makes friends, she finds it very hard work to leave them alone. Anyone she decides is a friend will therefore probably have a little carnelian following them everywhere. She is also a real worrier, and frets excessively at the smallest sign of someone being hurt.

Other: The idea behind her is that she was supposed to be created as a field medic of sorts, following the real soldiers into battle and healing them if they get hurt in combat. She is currently unaware of her ability to summon wings, cannot heal herself, and both herself and her "patient" must believe that the healing will work.

Bloodstone

Bloodstone is an extremely tall gem, standing at about six feet five inches. Her skin is a light green and her braided hair is the same color of red as the red on her gem with the tips being black. When in a braid her hair goes down to her hips, and when out of the braid it goes down to the back of her knees. Her eye color is completely black, but they rarely show due to her bangs usually covering them. Her clothes and shoes are designed for quick movements, either for running or jumping around, or fighting in a battle.

The gem is a shiny, teardrop-shaped bloodstone, dark green with very few blood-red colored specks.
Gem Location:
The bloodstone is located on the palm of her right hand, her strongest hand, to immediately start sparring/fighting.
Emotional Strength:
Bloodstone is quite caring towards others for fighter like herself. Fighting to protect somebody usually makes her react and hit harder.
Emotional Weakness:
Unfortunately she's quite cautious and doesn't trust people easily, hardly ever taking the offer of someone helping her unless she truly needs it, or could take it in a "quid pro quo" type of way.
Weapon:
Bloodstone's weapon is a long, slightly curved katana with the handle having a dark green wrapping around it.
Personality:
Depending on somebody's first impression with Bloodstone, she'll either be calm and silent or protective of herself. When someone manages to make her talk, Bloodstone will ask multiple questions to make sure the species isn't a threat, usually being very specific with the details. It's a rare chance for her to give someone the title of her "friend" (look at emotional weakness on why), but she can give someone the title of an "ally". Also, due to her cautiousness, she would overlook situations and think about different pathways as if trying to "predict the future". She doesn't mind eating in her normal gem form, mostly for the taste of food, but when shifting - almost always turning into an animal - Bloodstone will eat whatever the animal eats and drinks for "fun".
Other:
This gem is an earth type, but doesn't easily get along with water gems even though they "mix".
If Bloodstone is calm and concentrating enough, she could control certain forms of "earth" (sand, dirt, etc.) by waving her katana in a certain motion. It's quite painful to try doing this, but it's like a backup way to attack opponents.
Her black eyes represent her blurred vision. She can still see colors, objects near and far, etc. but the outlines are slightly blurred to her.

Obsidian

Obsidian

Appearance
Obsidian isn't the tallest or shortest Gem, only being around six foot two in total height. Her features are hard and angular, giving her a naturally grim appearance and a nasty scowl. Obsidian's hair is pitch black in color and take the appearance of dreadlocks, these dreadlocks are in turn kept into a thick ponytail that sprouts just a couple inches off her head. Her skin is a dark grey, a faint contrast to her pitch hair. Finally Obsidian's clothes are predominatly black, albeit a lighter shade than her hair, with grey highlights.

Personality
About as rough around the edges as her gemstone, Obsidian is an acquired taste to put it bluntly. She has a very sink or swim mentality, not putting up with those who cannot pull their own weight in the group. However should you gain her respect you will find loyal guardian, if not friend, who will turn the world upside down to ensure your well being. Because of her function as a warrior she isn't incredibly well versed in the subtler emotions or intentions, easily perplexed by complex emotions like guilt, melancholy, anxiety, compassion, and love. Basically, when inside her element, Obsidian is a resolute and stoic warrior ready to take on the universe but on the other hand she is more like a lost puppy when outside her comfort zone.

Other
While she does not eat food, Obsidian is very found of drink. Herbal teas and gasoline being her chief favorites.

Fire Onyx

Name: Fire Onyx

Appearance: Fire Onyx is a very sleek Gem with dull Red skin. She stands roughly 5'8'' tall and doesn't have much mass at all, looking very similar to your run-of-the-mill pearl in terms of her proportions. Fire Onyx wears a dark grey plain shirt with both of the sleeves looking as if they've been ripped off, and a pair of matching pants that look equally ragged with tears running up and down the sides of each leg. Her hair is short and black, hanging just above her ears in a messy style as if it's been poorly maintained. Her facial features are very slim, including her eyes, which look like two diagonal slits, and her mouth, which is pointed upwards toward her small, button nose.

Gem: Fire Onyx in the shape of a small pentagon.

Gem Location: in the center of her tongue.

Emotional Strength: Confidence

Emotional Weakness: Depression

Weapon: A long-barreled rifle that she uses to fire small projectiles at different speeds which explode on her command.

Personality: Fire Onyx doesn't speak very often, preferring to use sign language as her method of communication, sign language that she's very bad at mind you. Most become very well adapted to understanding exactly what she's trying to say rather quickly, though. At any rate, Fire Onyx is a very bold and often acts as if she's in charge of whatever she can. Needless to say, this comes off as very rude more often than not, but she doesn't care either way. Instead, she'll put down others for being offended by her 'superior leadership skills' and/or advanced capabilities. When she talks, albeit very rarely, Fire onyx usually sounds very angry, which is often just a side effect of her gem being placed smack dab in the middle of her tongue. Thanks to her arrogant disposition, she is very bad at bonding with others, which often lands her in a state of prolonged sadness.

Her gemstone, a smooth, teardrop shape moonstone, is locating in the center of her chest.

Emotional Strength: Love for others, no matter who they are
Emotional Weakness: Loneliness

Weapon: A sleek scythe

Personality: Moonstone is very caring to anyone or anything, no matter what they are, human or gem. She is quite friendly and sometimes playful towards others, liking to shape shift at times. Moonstone tries to solve quarrels and loves to bring others together through peace, but if need be she will fight. She is not much of a warrior but of a diplomat or a caretaker. It is very hard to make Moonstone angry, but if someone does, they can depend that her wrath will be harsh and cruel. Since she is not much of a fighter, her abilities are much more suited for the diamond courts, which makes her quite lonely.

Other: Her favorite form to shift into is an Earth cat. She has minor control over water (Like she can create at most small walls, not nearly as great as Lapiz Lazuli)

Impulsive, Naive

Weapon:
Topaz's weapon is a bow that materializes in her hands on command instead of being pulled from her gem. THe bow is thin at the hand hold and then widens only to create sharp points that recede back in to the bow's starting side. This pattern repeats three times on either side. The bow can be shot either straight up and down or horizontally and will automatically bubble any gems who are reforming near where its arrows hit. Topaz has an infinite supply of arrows.

Personality:
Topaz is very naive and trusting to almost everybody she meets. She loves to sleep when she gets a chance and can be generally lazy. She generally prefers to avoid combat unless provoked. She easily gives up any type of grudge she has with somebody and she can be forgetful, further contributing to her forgiveness. Beside the fact that she is forgiving, she can be merciless in a fight and wont think things through 100% before doing them.

Other: Topaz was a failed attempt to create a Sapphire, she discovered this when she first formed after the Sapphire that joins with Ruby to form Garnet ran away. Discouraged by this, she ran back into her hole and retreated into her gem. Occasionally she will have a small glimpse of the future, but these can be extremely unreliable and random.
