@Dark Light Finally back! Sister and her boyfriend left a little while ago so I'm back! Bad news is she gave me her cold so I'm a little tired and feel just icky in general.

Haha, yup.

You might have noticed my fixation with, and hints towards Sabines eyes?
Guiltily I have a history for them in mind but figured I should check with you.

They are not hers.
Born blind, Vlad entailed the aid of an ethically questionable young doctor F (something). He was know for mad experiments and grave robbing.
Any way before the next part it's important to know that Alek has tried to love a human before.
A smart powerful I dependant woman who worked for the Dracula family and knew their secret.

No matter how much Alek wanted to turn her, and his brother pressured him to, she refused it. So he didn't.
Curious and furious clad asked what it was about her, Alek replied "her eyes"

Either some time after, or the reason for, she passed away. in Vlads own sick twisted way of kindness or maybe torture he had blind Sabine cured with new eyes. Alek's lovers eyes.
Turning her was the catalyst to make it work.
She was to be the vampire wife Alek wanted, but it didn't work that way.

Being blind, Sabine would have been ideal to be working at the Dracula manor but not sufficient vampire material until DR Frankenstein fixed it.

And since creation to now there would be a lot of to and fro creating many stories between.

She could have been a blood bag to the family and due to Alec's protective kindness, fallen in love with him at an early age. It only grew as she did but he never aged.

His kindness to her was part of the reason Vlad chose her.

Prior to that Vlad dished out ever cruelty imaginable to Alek's lover when he wasn't present, and while she never let tell of it, he had the haunting sickening suspicions.

Sabine might have briefly known her but not known of 'them'.

The drama the angst! It's glorious! And it totally fits with the story.

I can see the scene already.
After an emotionally fragile and longing Alek finally succumb to Sabine, years passed like days. Sabine living in happy bliss, Alek a delusional lie.
(His guilt and anguish preventing him from realising he had fallen for Sabine and not just the reminder of his lost past.)

His self pity saw them separating so she opened her heart and bore it's secret confessions. Believing that such dramatic truths could conquer all.
"I have loved you since I was a child."
Dismissive and enraged, focused in self thought he aggressively retorts
"You are still a child!"

Those words cut deep and drove her away.
The rejection led her to the employ of Vlad, and far out of reach of Alek's feelings when he came to the realisation of what he lost.

From there the meeting were few and rare, but always filled with a complicated tension as they never spoke of what happened before. Both assuming the other had forgotten or would rather forget.

Each not knowing the place they still held in the others heart and disposing them for appearing as cold and careless as they themself acted.

I like it but at the same time, Alek is supposed to be in love with Cara. Although I can see the value of such tension between characters... Hmm... I will have to brainstorm this more when I'm not sick.

Haha true true, maybe take away the strong feelings, it was a love not 'the' love!
When you live many life times you can get it confused.

Plus by now it was a long long LONG time ago.

Right, but I can still see Sabine carrying some kind of torch for him, even after such a long time and it's one of the only reasons why she's willing to help him at all.

So, for some reason, I feel Alek would have a mini heart attack if Sabine and Cara ended up as good friends.

Yes, vampires can be naturally born, it just takes a while.

When I say natural born, I meant that two vampires can have a child together. XD
