Try as they might, the light whips coiled and furled so unnaturally adeptly at the snipers that none could escape.

The last few men tried to end their lives but the coils would prevent them such an easy way out. The very last screamed into his radio:

"SUBJECT 30 HAS ESCAPED! I REPEAT, SUB- OH, NO, GOOD GOD HELP ME HELP ME AHHHHHHHHHH-"

By some miracle, the rogue Agent slipped through the closing door unharmed. The glass chamber had too many bullet holes in it, but it still held - some spraying out the anaesthetic liquid that kept Subject 29 in comatose.

Dr. Jiang-Ping, through heavy, forced breathing, spoke through her teeth with eyes so terrified and dumbfounded:

'You've killed us all, including yourself you dumb idiot. Never mind that there are reinforcements still coming for you behind that door; if you awaken her now, there is no stopping her... you... stupid... stupid..."

"Perhaps thats the reason. Perhaps I don't want to stop her. Perhaps I want her to destroy this place, you, big boss. Because you don't deserve to live, and if I have to die to bring that about...so be it. I'm not worried.

Cody can keep Gerswhin in line.

I'm not afraid to die. I'm afraid to not put a stop to this."

Sparring the barest of glances at Jiang-Ping, she approached the chamber. With the butt of the gun she still held, she hit the glass, seeking to fracture it further.

"You brought this on yourself, Doctor"

Cody tilted his head at the men, but he left them as they were. He didn't kill if he could help it. Sometimes, he now knew, you had to. It didn't mean he had to like it. He tilted his head again, listening before starting to walk. Anyone he encountered he used his whips.

One might think he was heading to Gerswhin, but Cody was taking a different route.

"Cameras show that Subject 30 is on a different route, Big Boss; he's not heading for Subject 29 and the others," one of the men barked from the surveillance room that was busier than ever now. Most of the feeds on the TVs now displayed small, mounted cameras on the foot soldiers that showed a live view of the battle, as well as a live floor plan of the building with moving dots that represented the soldiers, the one red target being the rogue Agent, and the simple black box labeled Subject 29.

Big Boss was already ready to punch the next person to him when a notification rang from his phone.

'Reinforcements inbound in 30 minutes.'

If one was carefully listening through the hale of bullets, screaming, and alarm sirens, through the peaceful night beyond the crater that hid their facility so well, one could hear the distant whirring helicopter blades incoming.

Big Boss finally spoke: "all perimeter units stay on guard, and out of sight. If Subject 30 is planning an escape, we do not let him live. all other units, bring the rogue Agent down, and contain Subject 29. We must anticipate that her powers have been fully awoken. Priority is on 29. Shut the building down."

No one dared to question the order.

As Agent Caits continued to smash her gun into the incredibly resistant glass chamber, the doctor having learnt her lesson of being shoved when trying to stop the agent, the doctor crawled to the door, hoping to insert some high-level authorization code to let her out. That was when the air-conditioning turned off, and the room grew still, the silence, apart from cracking glass, was deafening.

Bulletproof steel rolled and slammed down shut on every window and door, barring any escape. Big Boss locked his own men in the building wit an exceptional Agent, and the most dangerous Subject they have ever had. Some shouted amongst themselves, some chose to continue trying to break the chamber room door down, some fought with each other.

Caits landed her last hit before the crack spread itself to the entire surface, but the spread wasn't what made Caits stop; it was Gershwin's hand - the anaesthetic no longer worked on her.

The chamber exploded, the glass spraying to the floor while the anaesthetic liquid poured down onto the floor. Even just a splash from this liquid could immediately paralyze the part of the body for a good 10 minutes. Inhaling the vapour would cause wooziness. The Agent, tough as she may be through her physical and mental training - and fight as she might - was standing right in front of the glass chamber.

As the liquid poured out, Gershwin's knees smashed to the lower metallic drainage pad in her chamber. A red light pulsed all over her body before she stood up menacingly, her minuscule body emanating an vibrant ruby red aura that seemed to instill dread into those around her. Wounds from stray bullets grew more brightly, but she walked towards Dr. Jiang-Ping without a care in the world - nothing but pain and hate. She was Evil Incarnate.

Dr. Jiang-Ping had been laying on the floor when the anaesthetic liquid poured on her lower half - she could not stand up or move. She helplessly stared as Gershwin's strong grip pierced into the flesh and bone of the doctor's leg before she pulled the leg off with an ungodly growl.

"Hurts, doesn't it, bitch?"

As the doctor wailed in pain, Gershwin reached for her other leg, then her other limbs, all before stepping on her pelvic bone, walking and smashing every bone before she jumped into the air, and drove her feet into the doctor's chest, utterly destroying her lungs and heart.

Gershwin stood there as if contemplating on the satisfaction the kill brought her, inhaling deeply in lavishing pain before she turned to the Agent. She brought her face close to hers, but she did not attack. Instead, her vibrant glowing eyes slowly revealed her pupils, some sense of humanity and spirit that seemed to search for help within Agent Caits - or perhaps some pity after all the time Caits had helped her. Perhaps she won't kill her. But still, she held her face there, as if fighting off the burning desire for murder.

"It's okay"

The words were slurred, and the former Agent wasn't sure she had actually managed to get them out, everything was numb, and she found it was almost like being trapped in her own mind, but Caits was alright with that. It meant she had succeeded in breaking the case. It meant Gerswhin was free.

"if I have to die, I'd rather die free then one of their pawns..."

At least she would die doing what was right.

"it's okay, Gerswhin"

It meant...it meant, if there was any after life, she could tell Dioxide they had managed to get Cody and Gerswhin out. Or give them the chance to do it for themselves.

"You're a good person, Gerswhin, no matter what they make you"

She let her eyes closee, imagining, for one brief moment, all the 'subjects' that had come before, and her hand in them.

"I deserve to die. I brought so many here..."

the choas Cody was causing spurred him on. cody didn't think, right then, that nothing short of a head or heart shot would kill him. As long as his heart was beating, he was sure he would heal. He had before. And he would do it again.

After everything, it was easy to find his way to the labs. And even easier to destroy them. And then it was onwards, towards the one last thing that could bring the operations back together. the sounds of the reeniforments, so far away, yet so close, did not worry Cody.

They couldn't stop him. And they wouldn't be able to stop Gerswhin, either.

Big Boss was his target.

The moment lasted forever. As the bullets fired and ricocheted off the sealed door, the solemnity grew. After what felt like an eternity of an internal battle with herself, Gershwin seemed to shed a tear that reflected her vibrant ruby glow. Instead of a rugged monster voice, a human one came, the sweet humanity contained within her:

"...No..."

Gershwin stepped over Agent Caits' body and proceeded towards the door that separated them from the soldiers.

"...You don't get to die..."

Her first punch did nothing. But the reaction a was 100-percent-grade-bitch on a scale of pain and a few fractures may be had. No matter, the pain and the injuries only empowered her to be even stronger. The damage remained but in their place was a ghostly, phantasmal glow. Blow by blow she damaged herself even more, Gershwin shouting an unholy growl as she broke her body more and more, but each time the glow spread to her hands, arms, shoulders, until there was none of the flesh and bone left - but she still kept punching and breaking the door down. One final swing, and the metalloid door came crashing down.

The soldiers were right on point, and shot her down in a crossfire volley. The bullets brought her down and holes riddled her. They paid good attention to the vital organs.

The next second grew still and tremendously terrifying. Did they take her down?

Another second later.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA, RUN BITCHES, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Like an uncoiled spring, she jumped up and leaped towards the dozen or so men. A cacophony of gunfire, men screaming and squealing in fire, and a ghoulish laughter and feral growl. Holes were made through stomaches, bones cracked musically against the walls and within Gershwin's fists, blood sprayed and covered the walls like a contemporary art gallery.

When the hall was clear and human flesh littered the floor, Gershwin returned and pulled Agent Caits out of the anaesthetic liquid, careful not to kill her in the process. She picked up the fallen door and placed it so it provided ample cover but with an escape through the sides.

The monster that was Gershwin inhaled deeply before running off.

The front door was now no problem for her as she merely scratched and tore her way through the thick, abrasive-resistant, bulletproof steel and to the outside grounds.

A bloody massacre occurred not seconds later.

As Gerswhin moved her, Caits thought one why Gerswhin had chosen to let her live. Why? Was it a morals thing? Or was she doomed to live with the knowledge that she had sent so many people to their deaths? To live with the knowledge that it was her fault Dioxide was dead? Or was it merely a choice for Gerswhin? Caits had seen the humanity in her eyes. Did Gerswhin's abilities work...based on sin?

What she could do was certainly...avenging like. It was...uncontrollable. It was death in the most violent of ways, and Caits found herself...not numb to it, not even revolted by it...but she couldn't say it pleased her. It was...shocking. It was disturbing. But Caits couldn't say that the doctor didn't deserve it.

The doctor was more of a monster then Gerswhin could ever be.

She didn't worry for a moment she had unleashed such violence on the world. She was beyond that, right now. And from what she had just seen...Gerswhin could pull herself back. The cries of soilders reached her, but Caits was beyond pitying them. Yes, they were doing what they were told, but they could revolt. They could stop.

As slowly the anaesetic fluid wore off, Caits looked about. The blood and core horrified her, but it wasn't enough to stop her regretting what she had done. When she could stand, she did, retriving her guns and weapons, she stumbled towards the door, but had to lean against the wall.

Cody sang as he walked. Any obsticales that came in his way, he took down. He tried not to kill where he could help it, often trapping soliders and agents behind light cages, but occassionally there were times he had to kill. the few times he was hit, his body healed quickly.

One by one they fell, one by one the soldiers were shredded, torn apart, broken, bitten, pulled apart - all sorts of gruesome deaths in a theatrical performance by Gershwin May. Not even a hale of bullets from a heavy machine gun could bring her down - it did, initially, but she would just get back up and fight through as if nothing happened. She would grunt and fight her way through in an anguished pursuit to cease the pain. She felt if she killed them all... maybe her unending, immortal hell would end...

Big Boss noted exactly the direction Subject 30 was headed. He grabbed hold of microphone of a nearby staff member - speaking into it to all nearby foot soldiers:

"All units converge in Hallway A. Barricade the entrance, and prepare to fight."

Cody tilted his head, as if listening to the approaching soliders. There was something different to them...he hummed to himself, pondering it for the barest of seconds. He walked into the hallway, unconcerned.

The reinforcements didn't bother him. Beyond the fact that he could see their shapes, due to the light of their beings, he could hear them. Their breathing, their movement, the creak of their armor.

"So...I don't imagine this is a dinner party"

His voice seemed to echo, but he didn't seem to notice that. Beyond, he could hear the fighting, the violence of Gerswhin's attack. He tilted his head the other way, thoughtful.

"I'm disappointed. Even now, your boss hides behind you. Is he just a coward? Afraid that he will indeed fall to me? Such a shame. Maybe he thinks I'll be weaknend and he'll win easily"

He had no doubts that Big Boss could hear him. His tone was calm, and neutral, and he gave a sigh.

"Oh well"

He began to weave light, creating cages, still seeking to contain rather then kill, but if pressed, he would kill. As he did this, he began to form balls of light, which he shot at the reinforcements, testing right them, the extent of the reinforcements strength.

Cody's ambient lights were the only source of illumination in the dark chamber. Around the room, soldiers were set up in successive layers, each with a specialized unit of attack. These units alternated with each other layer so that a single layer being wiped out would not be a hindrance in the attack approach. Each unit held different sources of weapons, ranging from heavy machine guns to actual artillery and mortar shots.

When the light cages formed around them, the soldiers did not flinch at all. Bullets passed through them in heavy volley, and all the soldiers were now fitted with the heat-resistant heavy armour: light cages were nothing to them now, walking through them as if they were never there.

Soldiers with heavy-set weapons approached Subject 30 slowly. The balls of light hit three to four of the soldiers, knocking them back to their backs. Soldiers spread out deftly and swiftly and continued their incessant fire, hoping that the repeated stress on the Subject's light armour would eventually be broken. He can't possibly handle all this stress. The knocked down soldiers were down but not out, and would slowly pick themselves back up.

The approaching soldiers noted the Subject's standstill, and formed an arc around him, blocking any ground escape. They continued to pelt him with an unending supply of ammunition - which was being continuously resupplied clandestinely through resources and openings heavily reinforced.

The hallway was now a fireworks display of muzzle fire and Subject 30's light.

Cody was unsurprised when the shoulders escaped his light cages, protected by their armor. how many hits can they withstand? he wondered, but he was sure it was more then his own armor could withstand. He constantly shifted, adding layer after layer when it went down, but he knew he couldn't continue that for long. He needed to figure out a way of taking them down. He immediately began to look for weaknesses in the armour.

He began to attack their weapons, blocking the barrels with thick light plugs, hoping to prevent them firing with them. It didn't matter if it didn't work, as he began to fill the room with screens of light, like stationary sheilds, around him, merely to give him time to think. He knew he was surrounded, yet he did not care.

Finally, he formed his whips, and using them like losso's, he began to capture the shoulder's one by one, pulling tight, they would begin to tie around those he caught. He knew it was merely a stop cap, yet he continued to resist, as he began to gather light, forcing energy into a massive ball, that if he got off, would be similar to an explosion within the room.

The light plugs proved effective, and the blockage caused the high-speed propelled bullet to explode within the barrel. Those whose weapons were blocked were jolted violently in the recoil, falling to the ground. Some were hit in the head with the rifle, cracking their helmets and knocking them out. Some of the rifles exploded from within, and were rendered useless. Gunfire continued from the far-back ranks, but the approaching soldiers ran at Subject 30, hoping that they could take him out in strong hand-to-hand combat.

The lassoed soldiers, while resistant to the heat and damage from the light whips, were still carried and tossed around and away. This necessitated a shift in strategy:

Subject 30 was too dangerous to approach mid-way, but in terms of long-range and up-close, the soldiers had a shot. The mortars continued their artillery explosive shots, hoping that the concussive blasts from the explosions would disorientate and perhaps dismember him while the upfront soldiers closed in to take him down fully. The numbers were dwindling, but they were still as deadly.

The reinforcements were getting closer. Helicopters covered the skies by the dozen, and on the ground, Armoured Personnel Carriers and tanks on full speed, bringing in a literal army of trained soldiers and weapons to rescue any UNARM personnel, and take down any and all threats. If one could look over the huge crater that hid their facility, they were within the horizon, the gunships even closer.

Gershwin was perched on a rooftop and roared tyrannically.

There was a moment for Cody where his shield broke, and a bullet lodged itself in his shoulder, in the split second before he got his shield back up. He stumbled, before rising and throwing multiple light balls at his opponents to seek for week spots, noticing the change in tactics. As the soliders closed in, Cody began to move.

He began to punch those closest to him, moving with grace, and some ease, but he was tiring. He knew he had to stop them quickly, and so he began to punch, kick and hit with speed, and power. His light abilities fueled his punches and he began to move through the ranks.

He hummed as he fought, and the lights around them began to flicker, and he unconsciously began to draw energy from them, causing him to sway slightly.

Caits began to make her way out the building, stumbling along, bleary eyed and exhausted, her gun in her hands, and she looked up at the sound of helicoptor. She gave a heavy sigh, and began to make her way onto a roof.

Subject 30's light empowerment was very powerful when up close. The shots of light worked like a cannon blast up close, and the armour took a visible toll absorbing the impact, and it struck the soldiers inside even harder. Those shot up-close were knocked out.

Those that got close enough, before being shot away, managed to land some hits on Cody. Strong and toned as they were, and protected as they might be, it seemed that they were not strong enough to penetrate his shield - only a stronger kinetic force seemed to be the only choice. Thus, the ones that did not get shot, turned around, running back to retrieve a resupply on firearms.

In the back, a man stood amongst the lower row, and readied his Rocket-Propelled Grenade launcher, aiming the warhead at Cody.

Gershwin stood at the very corner edge of the building she was atop. Her shoulders were hunched and arms were spread as if like a predator sizing up his prey, and knowing it had the bigger bite. But off the corner of "its" eye, she saw Agent Caits. 10 meters behind her, a missile was headed her way. With intentions unknown, Gershwin jumped and launched herself at the missile, intercepting it mid-air before it hit Agent Caits.

The explosion, concussive and heat, would have disintegrated her body. In fact, it was, but now her entire body was a phantasmal, ghastly, monstrous replica of her former self. Her elbows seemed to have spikes and her fingers elongated to claws, her mouth no longer the pleasant smile but instead a sharp maw with daggers for teeth. Horns seemed to sprout out of her head and her jaw, her spine with long, barbed, serrated protrusions. She started to looked like a demon. For all intents and purposes, this may not be her final form.

She leaped at the inbound helicopter which was just over the crater ridge, and with her sharp claws, pierced right through it. It exploded right then and there, and Gershwin howled in pain as her body got hit by shrapnel, fire, the spinning blades, before landing face-first back on the rooftop. She rose back up as if from the dead, a pained look in her eyes - those glowing orbs on the remnants of her human orifices. She turned back around, noting the incoming helicopters.

On the other end, at the only entrance to the UNARM facility, vehicular noise sounded. The land units were here.

Cody began to gather light to him, seemingly unconcerned by the rocket launcher aimed at him. As each blow landed, Cody's body acted insinctively, quickly replunishing his shield. Sometimes however his power wasn't quick enough, and blows landed on him, causing him to stumble, or grunt in pain. Yet this didn't seem to stop him, as his body rapidly began to heal him. He couldn't stop it, it was merely his body's reaction to it.

He gathered light to him, forming it into a massive ball, that he would fire as soon as the launcher fired. And then he crouched, covering his head with his arms, knowing there would be a resulting explosion, and knowing that it would hurt his ears.

Far away, Cody could hear the sounds of battle, and knew Gerswhin had joined the fray.

The blurred figure that leaped in front of her, saving her life, was seen at the cornor of Caits's eye, and she ducked, the resulting heat washing over her, somewhat lessoned due to it exploding on impact to Gerswhin. Caits rose from where she had been blasted, weary, but knowing she had to continue. She wasn't afraid. It seemed that everytime she was to die, Gerswhin stopped that from happening. She knew she shouldn't rely on Gerswin, but if she was going to die anyway, she might as well be a little reckless.

An Avenging Angel. Perhaps that was what Gerswhin was.

Caits began to choose targets, and began to shoot. She stilled aimed for injury, and not death. She just couldn't make herself kill, evne now.

The soldiers took note of the gathering light forming into the large ball of attack. While the majority kept their rain of fire, only a sane select few took cover.

The ball of light was launched and so was the RPG.

The soldiers in fisticuffs turned around to see the smokey trail of the grenade and the bright luminescent orb make contact, and that was the last thing they saw.

The resulting explosion blew up into a hellish ball of supernatural fire that engulfed the entire chamber room. The light blinded the soldiers, and the flames and kinetic energy was enough to knock everyone out unconscious. Cody should be no exception to the immense energy released. When everything settled, every surface of the room was charred and singed, a powerful conflagration in a seemingly infinitesimal amount of time, gone.

There were only about five soldiers left, who came out their cover and approached Subject 30. They walked slowly, rifles raised and aimed at the downed Subject. They had the physical numbers against them, but their power was unsubstantial, even non-existent, against the Anomaly. They all trembled in fear.

While Gershwin leaped further and further away from Agent Caits, taking on entire groups at once with a vengeance for pain, group troops spread out to every building. Radio chatter was filled with phrases such as: "charges ready," "building D secured and armed," "sector A armed," "kill everyone on sight."

A tank took aim with its long barrel, and took its shot at Agent Caits.

Cody's light shield protected him immensely from the blast, without it he may have been obliterated. As it was, he rose, pink skinned, his clothing torn, seared and barely covering him. What had happened, Cody was unsure. But the soldiers might have witnessed the rapid healing, new skin rapidly forming tk cover the grotesque wounds he has sustained.

He stared at the five soldiers remaining, as if examining strange entities. From somewhere he could hear heavy footfalls. and thus my adversary comes to me. How pleasant. He blinked at the soldiers.

"Now is your chance to flee"

He waited a few seconds to see if any of them would indeed run, before he began to move again. He would punch, kick and generally just attack with his light fueled attacks. He wouldn't stop until they we down. Whether dead, or unconscious, he didn't seem to care. Either way, if they knew what was good for them, they'd stay down.

Agent Caits lifted her gun. Her body moved of its own accord, and soon she was flinging herself over the edge of the building, rolling as she landed. She came up firing, beyond pain now. She wouldn't hesitate now. She would kill.

Atmospheric music - applicable to both halves of post

The UNARM facility was quickly overwhelmed by military units. The air was covered with swarms of Cobras and Apaches, strangely targeting friendly UNARM personnel and all sorts of infrastructure was being decimated. Though the stream of helicopters could not possibly be endless, their sheer numbers with their high-speed mobility blanketed the sky and the ground. The ground was no exception, as troops were being dropped in from the sky, and APCs, jeeps, and tanks took over all the roads. All over, they were converging from the outside in, killing everything off in a death circle.

Nearby, a military jeep was charging at Agent Caits at high-speeds, gunfire directed at the rogue agent. Try and dodge as she might, she could not escape the shooter's aim in open ground. The bullet stream was mere feet away when a huge glowing red figure came and collided with the jeep, crashing into its right side, sending the vehicle flying, tumbling into a building side before exploding upon impact.

Gershwin had since grown double in size, now standing at a towering 10 feet (3 meters) tall. Her arms had elongated, and her reach seemed longer than her height. Her legs were now triple-jointed, almost animal-like, but there was nothing natural about what Gershwin had become. The horns on her head were now as prominent as those on rams or bulls. Her body was covered in armour-like spikes. But perhaps the most astonishing was that she was on fire. Her head seemed to not be connected by neck but by a constant ring of red flames. In fact, in all her joints and orifices, fire seemed to spit out uncontrollable, as if the physical manifestation of her anger and pain, even now, could not be contained in her demonic form.

She stepped forward, her footsteps left ablaze in a hail of fire, and charged towards Agent Caits.

The Agent acted quickly, and side-stepped the raging being, but realized that Gershwin hadn't targeted her, but the tank further away. She leaped taller than the surrounding buildings before coming down, slamming herself onto the tank's top. Her sharp claws pierced through the metal and through the human flesh that operated the vehicle, now a toy in comparison to Gershwin.

Gershwin stood tall and turned to face Agent Caits. It took all her effort to articulate her following words in the most unruly voice:

"Make sure.... people know about this..."

Gershwin turned to charge at another group. Behind the agent approached soldiers on motorcycles, firing at her.

The chamber room doors had been barricaded and blocked from both sides. However, this was no problem for Big Boss. He paced himself before running straight through the doors. The flying debris reached the other side of the room, and Cody had to make an effort to shield himself with his light powers to deflect the incoming projectiles. The wood split upon impact, the metals - the guns and explosives - bent and exploded, and even the incapacitated soldiers broke and rag-dolled, now deformed and distorted beyond recognition. When Cody put his shield down, there stood in front of him, his massive adversary.

"I suppose this is the part where I start my monologue. Corny as it may be, I am willing to do it. Either way, neither of us are making it out of this facility alive. You see, you and that stupid girl managed to break our systems of controlling you Subjects, and now with the effect of the rogue Agent Caits, the UN has necessitated the complete eradication of our secret project.

In other words, you've ruined me. You stupid FUCKING kid."

The massive, morbidly obese, 6'10" man flexed and engaged all his muscles. At first, the whole scene looked like a large child having a jittery fit. Soon, however, his clothes loosened off his body as if he was shrinking. Soon, his trousers fell off his waist, and his coat and polo rested upon his broad shoulders. As if dramatically, Big Boss reached and tore apart his clothes, revealing a nude but unnaturally muscular, ripped human being.

(Author's note: he does not have 6 eyes and grey skin; This is a reference to his body-shape.)

Big Boss, the once incredibly fat office-worker, was now an Olympian-level strong-muscle man. He had no shame for his stark nudity, and for what reason should he, when his body seemed the pinnacle - the absolute perfection - of what the man could achieve, and then some.

"Tell me: what do you see?"

Cody replied: "I see nothing but the darkest of evil. You will not win." In both his hands, light gathered into orbs and readied himself to fire them at Big Boss. The target but simply smiled before he suddenly vanished.

(Author's note: gif reference of the sentence above: Big Boss moved so quickly that the human eye, even the Anomaly eye, could not perceive it.)

Big Boss dashed to the side, faster than Cody could even react, and before Cody could strengthen his shield, the hulking man punched his giant fist at Cody's temple. The shield could deflect a normal man's punch and even bullets, but the ridiculous force behind Big Boss' attack sent Cody flying, smashing into the side wall.

With his hypersensitive senses, Cody was dazed and hurt, shocked at the first real challenge to his powers. If he wasn't careful, he could actually be killed before he knew it. He readied and bolstered his shield but even before he could stand, Big Boss' hand caught his neck, squeezing effortlessly as if the neck was cotton candy, and threw Cody from floor to wall, again, and again, and again, before throwing him back to the center of the room. Before Cody could land, Big Boss dashed and kicked him mid-air, sending him flying to the far-side of the room. From there, Big Boss did a power pose, and gloated, laughing maniacally:

"I will not win!? I WILL NOT WIN!? YOU STUPID ANIMAL. I'VE ALREADY LOST. NEITHER OF US ARE GETTING OUT OF HERE ALIVE. BUT I AM MAKING SURE YOU DIE BECAUSE OF ME."

He laughed again, waiting for Cody's next move, if there was one.

"You don't seem to get it, do you?" Cody said, rising, he put a wall between him and big boss. His bleeding, broken skin healing slowly. "I do not fear to die. Yet, you can burn. I can't. You are nothing but a man who hides behind a power he never truly had" Cody was well aware that this hideous man could break through his barrier, and so Cody was moving, swaying as he did so. Light, searing, powerful, blinding light, filled the room, burning and searing everything in its path. The walls began to erode at the sheer power of the light. A deafening sound like an explosion seemed to echo around the room.

Where Cody stood was the brightest, but if anyone could see through that light, they would find that there was no one standing there. It almost seemed like Cody's very being had explode, bursting out in a blast of light. His voice seemed to echo, as if coming from every particle of light.

"I seek to give time for Agent Caits to get what she needs, To expose what you, and this company did. What our own government has done. You are trapped here"

All at once, Cody seemed to be standing in front of the grotesque man, an odd look on his face. He brought up his clasps fists, glowing with light, and brought them into Big Boss's stomach.

"And I'm not letting you get away"

Quick as a quails wing, Cody was gone again. He continued to do this, coming at different angles, using different attacks, tryingn to wear Big Boss down with both his physical attacks, and his constant light barage.

Caits lost track of the times Gerswhin saved her life. She stil wasn't sure while Gerswhin was saving her, when she was part of the reason Gerswhin had been here. At Gerswhins words, Caits nodded, and she began to make her way back inside, knowing Gerswhin apparently had her back. She made her way back through the compand, and back to the data room. Anyone she came across, she shot, leaving them dead, or leaving them for dead.

She gathered whatever was left, downloading files, before retreating to her office. From under a draw, tapped there, she took a hard drive, before fleeing from the compound once more.

Even Big Boss' immense power could not allow him to see through Cody's super-bright light. He shielded his eyes with his left arm, and took swings with his right at the swift light-user. In between physical and light attacks, Big Boss swung and swung into the air, attempting to find a moment to critically strike. That was not likely, considering the brightness that consumed the room.

The light itself did not burn his skin. In fact, it was like a road surface on the hottest summer day; his skin took the heat very well, and he bore the pain with an incredibly high tolerance.

"If you do make it out of here, do send my regards when she finds out not a single piece of data in this place is true. The truth is in my head, and it will die with me," he spoke through gritted teeth as he slowly figured out the pattern.

Pulse of light... punch.... punch... pulse of light... orb attack... kick... punch...

For a brief second, Big Boss opened his eyes wide, and though it stung and tears blurred his vision, it was more than enough to see the next move.

There...

Cody's next physical attack was met with a mighty, steel-like kick that broke through his shield and his ribs, puncturing and rupturing his lungs as the air was gushed out of him with the velocity he travelled. Soon, the light faded from the room as Cody flung to the ruins of the barracks the soldiers held their formation. There, Cody held the side of his body where it caved in. The next second, Big Boss was on top of him with an unarmed RPG in his hand. He swung it to the right and brought it down on Cody like a golf club hitting the white ball. Cody flew to the side amidst the explosion, and Big Boss walked out of the smoke, small shrapnel pieces embedded into him like sand on one's feet at the beach.

Big Boss stood and listened as he heard the helicopters flying by, and the explosions in the ambiance.

"Ah... sweet battle. I missed having a proper challenge. I wasn't always obese, mind you," he spoke as he moved, circling Cody beginning his monologue again.

"My ability is multi-fold, an amalgamation of powers that solidifies my capabilities extending the very limits of the human capacity, and then more. Nothing was difficult for me. I gained honours as the best military technical strategist, and resource management, but I was still known for my formidable strength. I had to gain weight and hold back my strength to cull suspicion of my being an Anomaly - not because I was afraid, but because I was smart and got whatever I wanted with being the most valuable asset next to the Anomalies themselves in Anomaly Research.

Why else do you think I am fighting you, assured that I will win?"

"Or so you think"

Cody managed to get this out, just before Big Boss started to beat the crap out of him. As he seemed to cease the assult, Cody stood, slowly, his wounds slowly healing.

"no, you may not have been obese, but you've always been deluded and frankly, stupid"

Cody wiped blood from his mouth, tilting his head. He gave a laugh, and he shifted, spreading his feet.

"No. You were terrified of becoming what you have made so many innocent people. Prisoners. Slaves. You allowed yourself to be weakened by your fear. I pity you. You will not win, You have already lost. The information will be out there and you won't be able to do anything to stop it"

Cody's shield thickened around him, as his body finished healing, thickening it so it was almost like a mediveal knights armor, It even had a helmet.

"I told you. I'm not afraid to die"

keep everything random. Don't' fall into a pattern. He'll be able to figure it out. Stay unpredictable.

He began his assult once more, using the barrage of light to move all around Big boss, never once slipped into the same attack, sometimes his attacks were more then a single hit, other times it was a quick tap, and then gone, but he never repeated this, did not give a pattern. At times Cody stayed back, attacking with a bundle of light, and he tried to trip Big boss up with random whip attacks. He fueled hisattacks with light, making them stronger. He sought to wear Big boss down, and to not give him a chance to land a hit on him.

Once more, Cody began to gather light to him, to attack Big boss much like he had deflected the RPG.

Agent Caits was leaving the building, the Usb, perhaps the most valuable piece of information she carried, was tucked safety away, so she wouldn't lose it. She had no idea how she was going to get out, to get the information out, but she would.

She looked around for Gerswhin.
