It took everything within her power not to have a full on smile plastered on her face and a mocking laugh to come from her throat. The look of absolute shock and anger on the blonde man's face was priceless and Solaras would give a few hundred credits to get a picture of his face in the moments of embellishment and noting upon fearing her. She was going to slip in a word of feigned innocence but Joran continued, much to her entertainment.
Solaras politely rose her hand to cover the smile on her lips before she ever so kindly took his arm. She smiled back at him just before looking over her shoulder with a mischievous little grin only to simply say, "Stay for the finale. You're going to love it." She winked at the red faced man gripping his glass a little too tightly before clasping her free hand over his arm linked with her, a smile on her face now as she looked around and spoke to him. "Oh, Joran, you flatter me too much. It all makes sense why they speak so highly of you~" She flirted towards him with batted lashes. "Perhaps you have a point. Although if we instated a test like that nearly everyone would be out of a job!" She giggled before leaning towards him for a moment in much quieter words. "Trust me when I say what is about to come is going to be better than maiming any of these people~" The koi tone should have caught his attention as it was not fitting to her character at all. Not the set of her eyes or the set of her shoulders. It was all so....powerful.
That momentary lapse disappeared as she pulled him towards the dance floor with a bright eyed look on her face. "Dance with me~" 'trust me. Her eyes and her words working together to convey a message as they very quickly found their way to the center of the dance floor. From here one could see quite a few of the faces within the ball room as well as the slowly setting sun that was just beginning to darken the sky. They danced for only a short amount of time as that powerful aura returned to her posture and features- she very clearly glancing around at the hall as more and more black uniforms trickled in and surrounded the outer ranks of the hall. She leaned in close to his ear with a wicked grin on her face, "Let the show begin."
It was instantaneous but very prominent. The sun lite room was suddenly thrown into a flash of darkness before most could adjust. Solaras stood still at the center of the dance floor, drinking in the fear upon people's features as their bright world was thrust into sudden darkness. It sent a delicious chill through her spine as a scream rang out of, "WHAT IS THAT!?" Many looked around but most found what caused the sudden darkness. Above them, in all that they could see through the glass dome was an Imperial Destroyer. Yet this...no this wasn't an Imperial Destroyer. It was a First Order Destroyer and it was far larger and more impressive than The Order's predecessor's.
Solaras grasped Joran's wrist, leading him towards the stage where others were already gathered. She gave him a side long glance, eyes now sharp and half lidded in satisfaction, before she took the stage. Her red gown glittering and drawing attention as she took center stage. Before she could even get a word in someone from the crowd shouted, "What is the meaning of this?!" Many voices clamoring in. She simply stood above them, looking down at them from her nose- waiting for them to quiet down.
When they didn't that spark of anger within her escaped, "QUIET." She commanded. Most were shocked that the innocent Solaras Apontha they knew was speaking to them in such a manner. "Now, ladies and gentlemen of the Republic. The time has come for a reawakening." She paused as she drew in everyone's attentions. Her form with hands folded in front of her and making herself small changed into something almost seductive as her body relaxed and fell into a more powerful stance. "The era of The First Order has risen from the ashes of The Empire. You all have been so bless to bare witness to this momentous occasion." Another voice rang out, "You traitorous bitch!" There was a flash of red from a hidden blaster in the crowd. Solaras didn't even flinch as another blaster blast shot out from behind her. The shots collided mid air, a minor explosion sending people screaming.
Solaras' eyes only widened with wicked delight as she tutted, "Tsk tsk tsk. I wouldn't try that again if you wanted to keep that ugly pig head attached to your shoulders." Her arms rose from her sides as the door opened and dozens of Storm Troopers filed into the room, the group of politicians pushing in upon one another to keep away from them. Scattered through out the Troopers were those in vicious haunting masks of black and chrome- weapons already alive and ready to bite.
Her arms lowered and the power seeped into her true voice. One hard and quite full of confidence. "Allow me to make this perfectly clear so that each and everyone of you ignorant fools may understand." Her shoulders squared off and her eyes narrowed.
"We, The First Order, are formally breaking the crude treaty placed, unwillingly, upon us in line with Republic Act 6P71-Q. Should you feel the need to attempt our destruction The First Order will bring it's full fury down upon all."
"You cannot do that!"
"Oh~" That wicked grin reappeared on her face as she casually gestured upwards to the slowly moving Destroyer above them. "But I can. Should you attempt battle The First Order's armada, lingering just beyond orbit, will not hesitate to bring out your complete and total annihilation."
There was nothing but silence, a satisfied sigh coming from her lips. "Now," she clasped her hands loudly, many jumping and whimpering. "Enjoy the rest of your party. It's certainly going to be the last on our account." With a definitive head nod the red clad woman moved off of the stage and towards the exit around the back side. She paused to look towards one of the black clad helmet wearers wielding an electrified pike. "Cut down anyone who is deemed a threat." The helmet spoke in a gravely voice, "Understood." Solaras glanced back at Joran, a nod of her head telling him to follow as she began down a set of stairs. "Come along, we have a speeder waiting a few floors down."
