What would make sense would be running something by me before forcibly doing something I really don't like to my character without my approval, but yes, him being unconscious is the only way that would possibly work.

@BBeast Man... Ilunabar will rain on your parade quite a lot. Can't have the hain learning so many truths, think about all the folktales which will never be born thanks to someone explaining that tge galbearth spins around the sun

Actually, in Gerrik's model, Galbar is sitting put, just rotating in place to create day and night, and the Sun hangs in a fixed position in the space. Galbar is still the center of the Universe in his model. It's just that it made more sense for Galbar to spin than for the entire universe to spin.

<Snipped quote by Legion02>

He knows of Raethos. His quick glance into the Codex of Creation let him gaze at the essences of all the Gods. It's why he had prior knowledge of Slough despite not seeing the stag in the Allure fight.

Actually, Reathos and Illunbar were the only two gods to not make any mark in the Codex. I suppose, by virtue of the Shattering Disunity, there would be traces of their essence in there, but since they didn't write anything in it you wouldn't be able to identify them, even if you could detect and distinguish those faint traces of essence.

@Cyclone, Yes, this god-party must be a thing. I should also visit the palace I helped build some time...

Ah, fuck, yes I botched this again. Most of my reasoning was trying to overcompensate for having been kept in the dark about the collab, even though I asked explicitly to be kept informed, especially given how clear I've made my character's investment in Slough. The rest was just straight up negligence of the second rule again for yet another spectacular fuck up.

I know it doesn't justify what I did, and I'm sorry. There's still time to repair the situation, and if you shoot me a PM with details about how you'd like to make the curse milder and more mutually interactive, I'd be more than happy to listen, and revise into something appropriate.

A sphere will be one of their most common forms.

Also, if Jvan tries to stop them from worshiping Vulamera, she'll ban any of her creations from worshiping Jvan again.

Also also, they'll never stop worshiping Vulamera. At least, the majority won't.

The one good thing about this fiasco is that it reminds me to get back to this point before I fuck up a third time.

It's not in the cards for quite a few posts yet, even after Shapeshifter Assassin Race 2: Vulameric Boogaloo is finished, but depending on the mechanics of their devotion, Jvan is absolutely going to try and do this to ~a cityfull of them, no matter what the consequences might be. She doesn't have this information, after all, and it'd give some solidity to an otherwise pretty tenuous rivalry.

Also, and much sooner, I'm about to take another Mathematics unlocking step by having some brain surgery to increase the Urtelem's ability to process concepts like timing, balance, and efficiency, aiding their ability to manipulate their environment without doing much for their emotions or motivations. I think it's fair to call that a Beauty (Mathematics) action, but it might bug the God of Smart Cookies.

Mhm, Zeph surprisingly likes Teknall. 'm not sure if it goes both ways, though

In any case, the fact that Teknall also draws power from the palace makes Zeph much more ballsy. He's willing invite a bunch of rowdy gods that hate him because they wouldn't risk destroying the holy site and enraging two gods, would they?

Had you asked to follow that part of the collab? I actually don't remember it. Next time just say something; even if you're not actively participating in a collab, if it pertains to you I for one would be willing to share the link just so you can be aware of what's going on.

Edit: Oh, and about that fair warning rule...the Jvanic Order is about to have three more problems. Three more things trying to kill them. But Zeph will have had no part in it!

Yep! I only sent one ping, though, so no worries. I should start taking more initiative about this kind of stuff anyway.

GOOD

NOBODY LIKES THOSE NEO-SPIRITUALIST HOBOS LEECHING OFF THE REST OF SOCIETY

GET A FUCKING JOB, SCULPTORS

...I'm strongly considering doing exactly that by turning Sculptors into Galbar's resident nomadic trade race, collecting all the very strangest things from one region for their art and then swapping them for other rarities elsewhere. That fills another fun fantasy trope. A mysterious, near-mute creature that arrives on the outskirts of your village with a gourd full of spices, seeds and precious stones, a faery flickering behind their ears, trading their wares for oddities rather than money using exchange rates only they know.

@Antarctic Termite

You only pinged Lugubrious so I am absolved of all responsibility ;p

It would be cool if the order were creepy nomadic traders, though at this point I wonder if they could even pull it off without being killed by something.

@poog the pig

I see you in here! Want to back into the collab and actually get the training part done started this time?

I remembered your request, but I didn't think it worth contacting you because of two things: Allure didn't actually interact with Slough, and the speed of the encounter was so quick that any heaving Jvanic mass would have been hard-pressed to arrive on time and be much of any help against him. The entire thing took place in only a minute or two.

If you're not willing to entertain the possibility of retconning your godmodding out completely, instead only willing to make it 'milder and more mutually interactive', then there's no point in reasoning anything out. This curse is just something that so thoroughly disinterests me, and only has the potential to be an obstacle, not anything interesting. I'll just take it as it comes. He's stuck with Lifprasil now anyway.

I'm willing to do that. As you know, it's far from the first time that I've dumped chunks of writing at the drop of a hat so that this story makes sense- It's already happened with Toun and Teknall. I've already have the satisfaction of writing the thing; If it's no fun to read or respond to, there's no point in keeping it.

The only thing that makes me reluctant to do that is that it sends a wedge through my character's ability to interact with yours and keep making some pass at sense. My character is already full of contradictory actions and threats that quickly turned idle. If she ignores Allure and his very real threat, then all it does is add her previous interactions concerning Slough to that embarrassing list. This won't bother you too much, since you're probably tired of my bitching by now; I'll just regret allowing my mistakes to have screwed over my chances to play an actually protective character.

So I'll snip out that section, own up to the consequences and say Cheerio, deer-buddy and loincloth-dude, you guys are free to do as you like now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't be too down on yourself. I'm a little super salto with the stress. The last thing I want to do is permanently mar your character's nature with contradictions. Since you're fine with getting rid of the incident, we can work together on something better to replace it, that would be appropriate for both characters. For instance, I'd be happy to collab a confrontation between Allure and an emissary of Jvan. With this, whatever problem there is has been resolved, and there's nothing for you to feel bad about. I know that I acted harshly and apologize for it.

This is a bit of a problem. Okay, more than a bit. I was planning on expanding into Mathematics after Memory (which is next).

I won't be upset with you if you get it first, however, I believe that there may be a mutual compromise that will work for both of us. Mind if I PM you and we discuss possible solutions that work for us both? OR do you just want to say "fuck diplomacy" and race to see who gets it first?

And Vestec! Vestec's craziness will infest her!

He's on the list of people I consider it possible for Vulamera to fall in love with, but he is also the least likely. It would take a LOT of convenient and very unlikely circumstances occurring to make that relationship happen

Don't get me wrong, she actually kinda likes Vestec, just not to that level. Her current view of him is "Friendly but fucking insane", which I suppose is the most accurate view.

If... if Reathos didn't make his mark... then thay rams that death ISN'T apart of Creation. O_o Which means the gods that put forth power have a little more claim than those who didnt.

*glances at Reathos* Even Logos must concede to the fact that, despite his wishes or opinions, Change, Corruption and Jvanic Beauty are apart of the world they created. He despises them and wishes to erase them, but must acknowledge they exist.

I think we have a general overall plot we're moving towards, everything that happens from now till the coming of the Arconians is all good, 'sub-plots' or developments of future plots. You can consider this an 'Arc' if you so wish.

Gotta agree with Kho here. Arcon and the Order vs. Chaos feud are our main plots thus far, but there's nothing wrong with doing a few smaller ones within those.

I suggest you wait until the Arcon thing is over, than you, Lauder, Irish, and myself (as Saltheax) can start a Neutral vs. Evil Demigods plot

I know what an arc is. I already have an 'arc' in the works. Planning would be done if @Dawnscroll actually responded to me -.-

And, coming of the Arconians? I didnt know that was a major plot point.
