This raises a pretty interesting discussion. We should pick some moment to be a reference point for all the peoples of Galbar (or at least most of them) to track how far they've come from the ancient past.
I vote we go back to a little earlier and set it at the Phantasmagoria, that was global and visible and brought on a whole lot of fun changes.
I support this idea.
Though setting it at the time Grot started fucking shit up would be better because come on who could forget the giant monstrosity of death and destruction? NO THIS ISN'T BECAUSE I'M VAIN
@Kho, oh in that case, sure, Astarte's in pretty good relations with her. She doesn't really dislike anyone yet, contrary to what her childish demeanor may make it seem like.
"When I was born, Fate spoke to me, the entity that ruled over even the gods that you recognize now, and allowed me to grasp the book of creation itself. It is the same with my companion Belvast. People cut from our divine cloth are of the same consequence: we speak to the highest order the universe will ever know."
What is to happen to those who tell lies about Fate, I wonder - . -
Speaking of which, the whole thing with ripping and giving Lifprasil part of the Codex, and then giving him access to its content isn't something Vowzra would approve of at all, or Fate at that. That's messing about with things which are better not messed with. I dunno where @Hael is gone, but we were meant to do some kind of punishment collab for that. Might want to bring Lif into it too - __ -
Pretty sure she still likes Ventus, although that may be changing what with her newfound distaste for the djinn in general.
You know that one dude who you kind of had a budding long-distance crush on way back when because he had a cool job and pulled some sweet stunts, and while you were messaging him on Facebook you offered him a date at your place and your expense whenever he wants? And then some time passes, he gets caught up with work, and it turns out all his old friends are now part of a really sleazy gang and you're not exactly sure where he stands on the issue because you haven't spoken to him in ages but the offer is still technically open and you just know it's going to be really awkward if he ever turns up?
yeah
I mean, Astarte herself hasn't done much for the big blob xD
That might change fairly soon! Jvan's moody and upset and needs someone to cheer her up.

If you like. I was going to wait until someone actually invented a calendar, though. That'll probably arise as a necessity once people put agriculture and astronomy together.
... Random words + random language on google translator. Ilunabar is sunset in Basque
Shit. The process behind choosing the name 'hain' is one step closer to being revealed...
Then he constructed a large toroidal chamber, with thick walls of refractory tantalum hafnium carbide insulation, wire coils made of orichalcum and of a complex highly conductive alloy, heavy adamantine and tungsten plating, and an intricate web of pipes and nozzles. Some of these pipes and nozzles led from the inside of the chamber to the rest of the workshop, with highly insulating silica foam pipes inlaid with tantalum hafnium carbide to safely route their contents to their destination. The nozzles on the bottom of the chamber led outside the workshop and connected to a large parabolic dish, pointing towards the star.
@Muttonhawk, in your history, Gerrik and Wind-Striker are preparing to battle against a separate horde to the Grot horde. This separate horde will probably be much lesser known, because Gerrik and co. will (probably) stop them before they actually get very far.
@Kangutso, That is a good point. Vestec promised Kyre an extra 30 days for that Grot horde. What did Kyre want to do with that time?
Oh yeah, I nearly forgot! Here's a pretty complete vocabulary for Tira, if you feel like knowing exactly what she's saying. The grammar is generally identical to English so far, though I haven't added tenses yet.
Owt- =Not, prefix denoting negative Em =Suffix denoting plurality. Tira’s language has no equivalent of ‘a’ or ‘an’. The singular is usually implied.
As =Are (you/singular ‘they’), am Yem =Are (They/Plural/General) Toh =Is, plural inanimate ‘are’
A hyphen between an ‘are’ variant and a pronoun translates to ‘are you’, ‘is it’, etc. Remove the hyphen and switch the order, eg. ‘Nu as’, to say ‘You are’, similar to English. Nouns follow the behind the subject, ‘Nu as wus’, but adjectives precede the subject, ‘Weit nu as’. Use both to describe the manner in which something has a quality. ‘Weit nu owt-as wus’ reads as ‘You are not, funnily enough, an idiot’, a kind of Tiraese equivalent of ‘You weren’t born yesterday’.
Ly =Mine Weit =Odd, new So =Important Garn =Craven, afraid, scared Iul =Good Hak =Dead
Wus =Derisive term, fool Glup =Harsh expletive Nurtal =Urtelem singular Sista =Stranger, weirdo Garn =Craven, coward, scared person Wan =Friend Kia =Gift, surprise
Yiesh =Stand, hold ground Rianl =Keep going He =Do, perform Hals =Take, carry Kint =Wait Al =Let go, free, allow
Run =On, at, continuing, overall, also prefix for question words other than why Runati =Where Ati =There Rundin =Which Din =This Runosh =What Osh =This Runkiki =When Kiki =Then Runjon =How Jon =So, thus, sometimes ‘because’ Runpudne =Who Dne =Singular neutral ‘they’
Nu =You Ne =Me/I Na =Plural ‘they’, ‘them’ Noo =Older, higher-ranked pronoun, formal equal pronoun Noh =Younger, lower-ranked pronoun, informal equal pronoun Ni =Intimate equal pronoun
Tui =Why, what (replaces ‘Runosh’ as a term of confusion or general questioning in circumstances when English ‘What’ does not refer to a specific object or concept) Tuitui =Because, it is that
That Grot post was longer than Ebb (not too surprisingly, though). Now I need to get back to studying for my last exam tomorrow before the day completely disappears.
Good post though. Nice to have that bit wrapped up.
@Rtron just with regards to this post, you mention three Treeminds. Is that just the number Vestec was experimenting on, or is that the full number he actually took? Because your kidnapping post has him take the whole tribe (bar the three who were out hunting)
