The shadowy god of trickery woke up screaming from a terrible nightmare about the horrors of the Korean War! The demons inside his head wouldn't leave him alone. Sighing, he got up and made him a coffee then went out to polish his Gran Torino. Then he got opened his iPad (Even though he was probably one of those annoying old people that just refer to it as a 'computer' because they're ignorant that such a term brings to mind something like a desktop! Seriously, get with it or GTFO you stupid old people!) and after struggling to figure out how to open Facebook for a good fifty years, finally gave up and clicked random buttons. He sighed as he accidentally pulled up his Yahoo! Mail, and briefly wondered why in the hell a company would name themselves Yahoo! with the exclamation point and all. But such thoughts were brushed aside when he saw an intriguing subject line on one email!

Subject: Dear Respected One,

Dear Great God,

GREETINGS,

Permit me to inform you of my desire of going into business relationship with you. I got your contact from the International web site directory. I prayed over it and selected your name among other names due to it's esteeming nature and the recommendations given to me as a reputable and trust worthy person I can do business with and by the recommendations I must not hesitate to confide in you for this simple and sincere business.

I am Wumi Abdul Amartia; the only Daughter Chaos Spawn of late Mr and Mrs George Abdul. My father was a very wealthy cocoa merchant in Abidjan,the economic capital of Ivory Coast ogre slaver operating in the Venomweald region before he was poisoned to death by his business associates on one of their outing to discus on a business deal. He grabbed fifteen shopping carts and carried them around, because apparently he's as strong as that Ialu fellow that can pummel dragons. When he finally filled each and every one of them to the brim and went to the checkout line. "YOU CAN'T BUY 200 MIGHT'S WORTH OXYCONTIN WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION! HOW DID YOU EVEN GET IT FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER?"

"But I wanted to have a party!" he cried.

The inactive gods don't need that Might and would've just been deleted. Essentially we're just pulling this out of nowhere. For all intents and purposes, I see this as us just handing out more bonus Might except only to a few people instead of everyone. Essentially, we'd be bailing you out.

Not sure what to tell you or honestly how you can even say that. You chose to spend that Might then and I'm not sure why you'd expect to have the impact of that rendered pointless by you getting all that Might back.

Edit: To elaborate, my reasoning is that if we're going to give Might as a reward for spending Might, then it defeats the whole purpose and we may as well just stop using Might.

If it was normal amount of might difference, it'd be different. 'Oh, okay, I spent Might, they didn't, it'll be made up for next turn.'

This isn't a normal amount of might difference. You either have below twenty because you did things or you have above thirty because you didn't do things for a long time. There is no way to make up this difference normally. Unless everyone with the large amount is gonna spend all a bunch of might now...which I doubt, those of us that have the less might will have two choices; Do nothing for several turns until we can hopefully get enough Might to balance things out, or just pray that people won't do anything with all that might that we have to react against.

Because currently, if Zephyrion gets angry at the Angels and does retribution, Niciel can't put up much of a fight. If Logos wanted to, he could go and wipe out all of Vestec's creations and heroes. If Teknall was so inclined, he could purge the world of Jvan's creations or take them over himself. Illunabar's phantasma and Mannequins could be destroyed.

There's normal consequences for our actions, which we accept. But then there's 'did a nothing for a long time and now have insane amounts of might to play around and be unstoppable with' Most of them, I suspect, weren't even planned periods of doing nothing.

It feels like you're being punished for enriching the world.

I wouldn't worry about somebody just randomly deciding to blow up all your stuff just because they can. I'd remind you that despite the two confrontations with the Dragon God and others in the last RP, there wasn't a single outright fight between two gods nor an utter annihilation of someone's creations and heroes.

Sure, if you only look at Might then Zephyrion could probably overpower Niciel and kill all her angels and blow up the Nice Valley, but first there's the question of how that could be justified IC and secondly there's the issue of permission. Nothing of that magnitude should really happen without an OOC discussion first

It feels like you're being punished for enriching the world.

Now here is where we might agree. Those of us with a lot of Might really should be spending it. I can only speak for myself, but I will say that I've already figured out how I'm going to spend a great deal of Zephy's Might in my next posts. Either the other characters with a big stockpile will spend their Might and just enrich the world at a later date than you did, or they'll simply put it in a Holy Site/level up and get even more Might with which is later enrich the world...

The objective of Divinus isn't to just amass an arbitrarily large amount of Might for no reason, so I'm sure that everyone here will eventually spend their Might on something and enrich the world or storyline. Otherwise I'd be curious to know what they're even doing here.

Of course, I chose to spend that might. If everyone were to just hold dearly to their might waiting for the next Holy Site turn, the whole RP would be dead in a blink of an eye. That is why I gave up on the idea of storing 30 might for that library, because spending 1 might to make some silly story about winemaking is far more fun.

But it isn't normal that all the players who Kho pointed as "low on might" are also some of the most active people on here. If one of the players who have been storing Might decided to in one post release it all against one of these active gods, they could very well destroy months worth of playing by using what they won by months worth of idling.

Maybe giving free might isn't correct, and I would love to see the players who have been away, like Logos, back, but there is something not so good going on, and that could take a toll on the RP.

The bottom two were done in collabs IIRC, with you within, and you didn't object ;p

I forgot about how Sauranth torched Orabil but honestly, if I had been Co-GM then I would have said WTF and raised hell about it. Not only because it was done to you without permission, but also because that rampage was completely out of character for Sauranth, had no logic to it, and Act apparently didn't even know that the tree was a Holy Sight that prevented Galbar's eternal darkness.

As I recall, you didn't let Mirtagn torch the Strong Tribe's village, so there's precedent to not letting someone randomly destroy stuff.
