@Muttonhawk I've looked everywhere for a definition of 'escalating applause', all I got was this 'slow clap' video on youtube. It was one of those, 'that was so bad I'm going to stare at you and clap slowly while others behind me do likewise' videos.

I was thinking more along the lines of that scene in sports movies where there's a silence after something dramatic, then after a moment one person (a supporting character or something) begins clapping slowly, then another joins in, then another, then it escalates into sincere and heartfelt applause, Spielberg's uplifting orchestra plays, happy ending or something.

Just how powerful does a character have to be to beat a Realta? I can see that a single one can give a lot of trouble so I was wondering that.

From what I gather, the general consensus is that one needs to be a rather strong/lucky/smart hero to beat one (only one, if you get ganged up on, then your chances of survival are nearly zero). Anything less and they get destroyed. There was an instance where 3 or 4 heroes ganged up on a single Realta and three of them nearly died.

According to Dawnscroll, a single Realta can put up a fight against a Hero, but a Hero should still be stronger than one.

At least, that's how I remember it. Don't quote me on that.

Also, @Frettzo, what instance was that? I don't remember it.

I think he means poog's post with Lifprasil, Falas, Loth and Belvast.

@Slime Oh, that. To be fair, only one Hero (and a crapton of mortals) was really doing the fighting there, which was Belvast, and Belvast isn't really built for combat. Loth didn't even participate, and Falas and the rest of the Angels just finished off the beat up Realta.

@Slime Logos created ten thousand Realta as sort of a living shield/defense system around Arcon. They're being of metal and plasma, see the tab for more details. Basically, a Realta is to be a significant threat. Logos sent 3,333 of them to purge Galbar and one has the potential to turn a city into a glass. They're this games Dragon in Skyrim, so to say.

OOC, you can destroy as many as you'd like. Logos will be leaving the planet with less than a couple hundred left. But the Realta should pose a significant challenge to heroes, and defeating one should be a legendary achievement for a mortal. These things are one part fire elemental, one part T1000. This is the moments where Heroes should actually be that; heroes.
