Vestec wasn't the first person to find Reathos' Avatar after his death. Teknall was, and he spent 1 Might to reanimate it (turning it into a cyborg in the process) (http://www.roleplayerguild.com/posts/3837490). It probably doesn't change much, but it is relevant.

You are wrong. Here, let me give you
an example:

To unite the disparate tribes of southern Rukbany under one banner, under one Qa'id Adheem, was not the result of pure physical strength - though that played a part - and it was not the result of pure wit - though that too played an important part. It was the result of both. Wit was like the back legs of a horse, and strength like the front legs, without both the great beast could not walk, let alone gallop. And that
was the case with any man who was fated for glory - he had to have the means by which he could gallop! How many were those amongst men who thought themselves mighty and great when they were nothing more than legless horses? Too many, by God!

Note the sudden line break at 'And that/was the case with...'. It is quite clear that this is not a whimsical
line break. The line break at that particular point mid
sentence highlights the word 'that'. In many way, it acts much as an italicisation would, only more pronounced. It forces one to pause. And that pause
creates all the difference and gives it all the meaning.
Moreover, the great expanse of grey where a sentence should be gives a great amount of meaning:
look at all that meaning! It speaks of unspoken things, hints at unsaid words, causes one to wonder what should be there and why the writer has chosen to leave that goddamngap there. Sometimes, nothing speaks louder than words.

@Muttonhawk actually I'm the sort of person that puts two breaks as if I have autocorrect on in Word Perfect, which predates the sad excuse for autocorrect that exists in phones and even cell phones as a whole. Also I've found that the autocorrect in my kindle will interpret two spaces as "let's stick in a period!" which is nice sometimes, but sucks if you just ended something in quotes. *sigh*

I am tempted. And most of my rps are nearly or entirely diceless. What works and how well is determined mostly by the players. There's gentle guidance for plots in some, a bit stricter in some, and none at all in others. Yeah, you can in theory craft autowins. But a good player wouldn't, and a better player goes "but does that make it /interesting/?" and then when the answer is "no not really" doesn't do it. *shrug* Since I come from the writing method, I've always found that while I'm more than capable of finding a reason (or asking for a reason) for a char not to do something that might make sense but wouldn't be as fun, I also often encounter situations where there's something that fluff says a char should be able to do, but somehow mechanically can't, and that bothers me far more.

You can express the same stresses without a line break. I will leave that as an exercise.

But don't mind me and my opinions. I was never one for poetry and I only want you to write in the way that makes you happy C:

@shylarah Don't mind my writing preferences, I was just poking fun and using the excuse to poke at Kho :)

Anyway, just about everyone here is in the "would it be interesting?" camp. As for fluff making established rules, we break that stuff on a regular basis, no sweat. Like I said, the only real limitation is might. Having it make sense with internal consistency is just bonus points. The fact is, there is still quite a lot of empty space on the canvas for new rules.
