That post where Lazarus is trapped in that demiplane...

who the hell is the one who spoke in tildes? Is it that one sculptor, from that time Teknall was telling them about alchemy, who kept going off on poetic ramblings? And was The Blazing Fist of Those Who Must Obey the Law of Ancient Greek Platonic Conceptions of the Perfect Heads of a Perfect Polis Otherwise He Will Beat You Up With his Level 8 Powers and Bash You With His Very Unhappy-looking Mask summoned out of the demiplane and onto Galbar?

We've seen Tildes before, she's the Alefprian physician who served as Tira's therapist, Tauga's therapist on paper, and Dabbles's lab technician while he was experimenting with Sweethearts. She was also the only telepath acute enough to contact Toun and Teknall directly when they were at Ovaedis. I forget what her discovery in the alchemy post was.

And I presume so. The barriers holding in the King of Kings aren't as strong as Heartwood would assuredly like them to be.

Shet.

Also, map of the Metatic archipelago.

1 is Xanchaladan, where Diana is having adventures. 3 is Axotal, 4 is Ihuian and 5 is Xiloxoch. Loki and I haven't figured out a name for 2 yet, I think. Those lines cross through isthmuses but they're still there.

We decided to name number 2 Itzamatul. It has no major government of its own and tends to be ravaged by Xanchaladan a lot. There's a cultural break between the more Polynesian Tlaca in the south and the more Mexican Xanchaladanites(?) in the north.

Tauga may have abandoned Amestris, or at least her leadership there, but she hasn't abandoned her role as Marquise. She's still holding Alefpria's outermost territories and expanding its borders, even if Lifprasil's control is increasingly de jure.

Erjang is on the centre West coast of Axotal.

@Frettzo@Antarctic Termite The Astarte-Tira post was a very enjoyable read (somebady finally went nooorth. Whoop) but I think there might be some confusion about the geography and the location of things. So, best clear that up.

Geographical consistency? In a Tira/Astarte post? You must be out of your mind.

We'll leave it however you feel is most appropriate, this was just a result of me trying to get post pacing right without much reading back.

You guys made mention of the Guardian Restored, who is indeed very close to the Gate. But he grew out of the bark orb that Vowzra created for Slough, and which Belru later made into her holy site ('the Orb'). That orb was definitely not at the top of the Mount ^^'
That said, the location of the Oath of Stilldeath is described as:
<Snipped quote by When Toun Wept>
So somewhere in front of the Gate beneath Old Bark-Skin.

Now, I don't want to trouble you with rewriting that part of the post - I could potentially write a post that alters the position of the Gate, Oath, and Guardian to the top of the Solitary Mount (something something 'RETURN THE GATE TO ITS RIGHTFUL POSITION' something something 'SO IT WAS, SO IT SHALL BE AGAIN.') but I'm not entirely sure if the Oath of Silldeath is moveable. @Muttonhawk@BBeast

It's just a memorial right now. I don't mind where exactly it's placed as long as it's in the same general vicinity. Narrative convenience can have the thing move around as necessary.

@Kho, I think it should be left where it was meant to be. There is no reason to bend to the whims of every geographical inconsistency, and being not on top of a mountain makes the Gate more accessible, as it is meant to be.

Just a heads up for anyone waiting on me: last night a colourfully dressed man in a steel cuirass walked into my room in the dead of night. As I watched, he drew an elaborately forged piece of metal from a bag, and took a pole from somewhere else, and riveted the two together; having done so, he whispered, "Du bist bereits tot", and proceeded to hack apart my CPU with the item before leaving, snacking on a pork sausage as he did so.

I do not know where he went. However, my CPU being fucked, I have no way to track him down. Tonight I set foot for Zurich, and hope I will find answers.

@Antarctic Termite We need to talk about your Swiss halberd problem. Especially now that the Vatican guard have become involved. Have you tried defragmenting your hard drive?

(Seriously though, how are you wrecking your computers so?)

I tried, but the Pope messaged our group chat declaring an official papal bull against the act, so I think he might be in on this.

(I have. It's just the one computer I set up about a year or two ago, that eventually started suffering simple crashes which slowly increased in frequency and severity until Windows was unable to reinstall. I moved to Linux for the extra stability, but the problems have slowly started to crop up again even so.)

(Having run a bunch of scans I've ruled out any problem with the software, graphics card+drivers, and probably the hard drive, which means it's a chronic issue with the CPU (or /possibly/ motherboard). I've basically dealt with the problem by installing a more stable operating system each time, but now that even Ubuntu is down I'm forced to face the fact that I'll have to dig deep into my shallow pockets to shell out for another processor.)

@Antarctic Termite I'm sure you can find an el-cheapo on Gumtree to tide you over until you can afford to build something new. Sounds like your hardware is cooked, though. I'm sorry to hear that.

I am thinking he will start more a force of nature than rational human. It will be the people he meets first that will teach him about the world. Just so I don't kill myself he is gonna start knowing languages, and basic stuff like that. Is that an OK idea?

People, I think that it is not clearly stated so I will say this: AGE | GENDER | HEIGHT | WEIGHT are what you are supposed to replace, not just the brackets... First Avulus and now this...

Most demigods start knowing language and basic stuff like that, so that's fine.

If you want him to start as a force of nature type being, have you considered adjusting his appearance to fit? There is no real reason to stick with the human phenotype (although you can keep it if you like).

Have you considered who these first people are going to be? Other player characters, or NPCs?

I don't have time right now to ask anything more.

@pandapolio He looks pretty reasonable so far, there's no major errors or issues. I still think he's somewhat lacking in motives, though.

Even if he doesn't have some ideology or goal in the same way a more humanoid entity would, he should still have some desires, or fears, or prejudices, or other drives, even if that's just to explore himself and others.

This is particularly important because, again, we'd like to have some idea of what Amon will actually do when he starts out.

People, I think that it is not clearly stated so I will say this: AGE | GENDER | HEIGHT | WEIGHT are what you are supposed to replace, not just the brackets... First Avulus and now this...

...do gods even have any of these properties? I don't seem to remember them being on the original sheet.

Can someone more skilled with technology do me a quick favour? I want to put these two images together. I just want the small round one in the top right corner of the bigger one (approx. beside 'Vowzra's Victors'). Would be grateful to whoever can do it :)

Edit: Also, can someone tell me how this is done? : (Alchemy is the s͓ͫ͟ecr̝et̝̰͋͢ t͒ͫo̝ u᷂ṇt͇o͇l̲d͟ pͭ͑͊oͧ̋͠w̮̜̖ę̀͡r͈͌̊)

@Kho Here, all I did was slap them together in Sony Vegas. Might have had to do a tiny bit of resizing to get it to work properly. Not the most conventional method, but it works. You could probably just do the same thing in Photoshop or something, it's not that hard.
