Sasha laughed, and nodded, "No, I'm sure not either" She agreed, "I guess we just wait and see tomorrow"

"Stallions will correct behavior, sometimes play and they'll protect if there's danger, but mares do the majority of rearing," Avera said. "Geldings don't give much care."

[Aristocles]

Kos sighed. "Yeah. It's annoying. Like, those couples who want kids have trouble getting them, and those who don't want more get them."

Caex thought about that gelding part. "I'm sure we won't have to do that to Steele. My father doesn't believe in doing that to stallions, and I agree."

Sasha nodded, "I Know" She said softly, "it doesn't seem fair" She sighed

Avera shook her head. "I wouldn't do it to Steele but if a farm has too many stallions then someone is likely to get hurt."

[Aristocles]

Kos smiled. "The other funny thing is that they also say those who are married wish they were still single, and those who are single wish they were married."

"We should make sure to sell off any surplus stallions, then" Caex said, taking note of his wife's words.

[GhostWing]

Avera nodded. "But not all, they make good work horses," She said, yawning and closing her eyes.

"I do not wish I was single still" Sasha said, quite honesstly

[Aristocles]

"Neither do I, but that's just the popular wisdom. 'They' aren't always right" Kos replied.

Caex nodded, seeing that Avera wanted to sleep. He closed his eyes too and was soon asleep, while Auryn was asleep in his own little bed in the other room.

Avera stirred and woke up when Auryn started crying in the middle of the night. She rubbed her eyes and put on her robe, going and scooping him up.

[Aristocles]

Caex got up a bit later and found the others. "I'm surprised you even have that robe" he muttered, still tired. He still thought it looked good on her, despite what his own species would have worn. Of course, being in a multi-species family was something he was still getting used to. "How's our son doing?"

Sasha nodded in agreement "true. Sometimes I think wisdom isn't so smart"

[GhostWing]

Avera bounced Auryn and went to sit in the rocking chair. "I love this robe. And I think he's just hungry," She said.

[Aristocles]

(Sorry for the delay! My internet connection was out for much of the last two days. It's getting better now.)

"What sort of wisdom did you hear growing up?" Kos asked. "I mean, anything really smart?"

"You look nice in it" Caex replied. "Then again, you'd look nice in anything. So, what should we feed him?"

Sasha smiled and laughed, "Every bit of information that came out of my parents mouths"

[Aristocles]

"Well, what was some of their advice, then?" Kos wondered.

[GhostWing]

"For now he can just nurse," Avera said. "You can go back to sleep Caex, I'm not going to be gone for long."

[Aristocles]

"Alright, If there's anything you two need, just let me know" the red-skinned dracon replied. He wondered how his parents had handled this situation when he was a hatchling.

"Just what they taught us-my father his knowledge as a teacher, my mother hers as a healer" Sahsa said with a shrug

[Aristocles]

"Alright, that sounds good" Kos said.
