"Will he be back soon?" Kos asked. "And Jammy? Do you have any advice for dealing with pregnancy and egg-laying?" He wondered how Larek and Nyx handled it.

"I did indeed, thanks" Aura replied. "But I think Auryn needs cleaning"

"Yes, dear sister, Ryland told me" Caex told them, getting the water ready. He noticed Avera a moment later. "Oh, morning, love. You're just in time to help with our son. I guess this is one of the less glamorous parts of being a parent."

Jammy shrugged, "To just let it be. Sasha needs to relax, to be cared for, but its always good to maintain exercise, and eat well" She said

"Hmm... I think I may let you get this cleaning, I'll get going on breakfast," Avera said with a cheeky smile before going to the kitchen.

"I can help her with that" Kos clarified. He turned to his wife "Anything you want dear, just let me know" he added.

"Yeah. About five months for the egg to be laid and another four or so for it to hatch. Give or take a month for either stage." Kos noted. "You won't start to show signs for a while, and you'll only be really swollen in the last month or two before laying."

Caex put Auryn into the tub and got some soap and a washcloth. He washed the boy's back while Aura worked on his feet and legs.

"He's got your claws. did you know that?"

"Yeah, Aura, I did. He's got strong legs for his age, too. I don't know if its the magic or inheritance or whatever. I only wonder what he's got from his mother."

"Breakfast is ready!" Avera called when they finished bathing Auryn.

"Be right there!" Aura exclaimed, leaving Caex to finish cleaning Auryn alone. Both father and son had the same quizzical look on their face. A few minutes later, Caex was finished cleaning his son and he dried him off using a towel. Putting a loincloth on the young dracon, he carried Auryn out to breakfast. "Looks great, Avey" he commented, setting Auryn down near Avera and taking a seat himself.

Sasha nodded, nine months seemed like such a long time right then. She turned to her mother, "what about that herb you give to gravid females?" Sasha would do anything to make sure the egg was healthy, cans that a healthy, strong hatchling hatched.

Jammy smiled, "I have plenty of that" she said "you know how to brew it up" she went to her supplies, bringing out a container with a brown herb in jt

Avera smiled and went over, taking Auryn when he reached for her. "Have fun giving him a bath?" She asked with a giggle.

"When will the others be back?" Kos asked Jammy, referring to Sasha's brother and father.

"You could say that" Caex replied, getting some of the food. "Although I wonder if your mother's magic intentionally made for a rather tall son. For his age, that is. You have some very tall siblings, too. Not that I mind."

"Marz will be back any minute" Jammy said, "railing moved out when he married Prudence, so it's just us" she said

Sasha took the container from her mother, setting it down just as her father returned

Kos nodded, standing up as Marx entered the room. "Hello again. Sorry if this comes as something of a surprise. We have some news for you and I'll bet you can guess what it is."

"Yep, all tall, even Ryland's not done growing and he's well on his way to being taller than our father," Avera said.

Marz looked over at them, and Sasha gave him a smile. Jammy greeted him home."I'm not in the habit of guessing, but...you're here quite early, and both appear quite happy. Congratulations"

"Thanks" Kos replied. "Another grandchild on the way for you two."

"Are the humans in your family also tall? I mean, by human standards?" Caex asked. "I admit that I don't know much about humans as I should, given that I'm married to one" he admitted.

"Mhm, not many humans get to be as tall as them unless it runs in the family or magic is involved," Avera said, drinking some of her tea.
