Nyx sniled, and once they were finished with dinner, she cleaned up, and said to tala "would you like TK be shown the room you can stay in?" She asked

Tran sighed softly and nodded, laying down on the table, he did try to relax. He didn't really see the point of it, but was willing to play along, to make Orna and his mother happy.

"You can be white, I'm happy with Black" Railimg said, content to give Kos the first move, partly to see what he would do

[Aristocles]

"Yes, please. I could use a nice, soft bed about now" Tala replied, yawning.

Larek finished cleaning the dishes and began to put them away. He didn't want the ladies to have to worry about such things right now.

"I'll check his back, you work on his legs and feet. How does that sound, Jammy?" Orna asked her. Orna had one hand on Tran's back already, lightly scratching in a circle.

"And Tran? Please try to relax. I understand that it isn't easy for you, but I'm asking you to trust me here." Orna added.

Kos set up the board and moved the pawn in front of his king two spaces forward.

NYx smiled, and she showed Tala to a currently empty spare bed room, "if you need anything, you only have to ask." She grabbed a blanket from a nearby shelf, and placed it on the bed

Tran stretched as Orna scratched his back lightly, nodding "I do trust you" he said, and tried hard to relax, as Jammy jodded "that's fine by me" she said

Railimg wonder briefly what Kos was going to do, before moving his horse out automatically, the one closest to his King, so it was in front of the pawn in front of the bishop

(I haven't played chess in a couple of years O.O)

"Oh, this will do just fine. Thank you, Nyx." Tala gave Nyx a little hug, then changed and lay down on the bed, curled up. She was asleep in almost no time at all.

"Alright, let's give it a shot" Orna replied, rubbing in little circles on either side of Tran's spine. She moved up to his neck and back down again, careful not to put too much pressure on any sensitive spots. Not that she could find anything sensitive on him. Tran was quite calm and serene. Very little if any stress was to be found.

"I must say, your parents did a very good job in raising you to be a fine, strong male." Orna nodded at Jammy as she spoke, giving her a smile. "As I have said before, the farm depends on your body being fit and strong, so it's not just a case of a pair of females being overly attached to one of the males they love most. I don't want you to put too much strain on yourself, or pretend you are alright when something is wrong." Truly, all seemed to be fine. Orna was just going through the motions with that speech.

Orna then began massaging under his shoulder blade, stretching out his right arm. "Ooh. I forgot how strong a male arm can be" Orna said, realizing just how heavily-muscled his arm was next to her own. The disparity was somewhat less in their lower bodies.

Kos moved his knight in front of the same pawn. He had practiced chess with his father, although it wasn't his favorite.

(Oh, I haven't played against a person in years, apart from a young student. I mostly play against the AI on a chess app on my smartphone. And we don't need to play out the game move-by-move in an RP.)

Nyx silently left the room, returning to finish cleaning up, but stopped seeing That Larek had dealt with it. She stopped and smiled, feeling incredibly lucky to have him.

"You really are amazing"

Tran wasn't surprised at Orna's speech, nor at the fact that the massage was more relaxation then treating sore muscles.

"Most people do not know that relaxation, such as massages, are good for the development of muscles" Jammy said. Again, something that tran had heard before.

Tran just took it all with ease

"You know, chess is a really good game for strategy" railing said, as he did another move, "I just liked winning"

[Aristocles]

Larek gave Nyx a hug. "As are you, my love. Oh, now that Tala is resting, maybe we can check on the egg?"

Orna finished rubbing his upper back. "I understand that many males wish to be thought of as somehow invulnerable or are else afraid to show weakness, but you don't have to worry about that in front of your family. I think I have said it before, Tran, but your body is flesh and blood, like everyone else's. I don't want you straining yourself too hard one day or thinking you can deal with something that you cannot."

Kos castled his king with the rook on the left. "It is indeed. I've heard in some lands, the minister is called a queen."

(In some countries, the queen is called a minister. It started as a Vizier or royal adviser in India or Persia before changing in Europe.)

Nyx returned Larek's hug, and nodded "Yes, let's" she said, smiling, going to do just that

Tran just nodded "I'm not afraid to show weakness. I also know my limitations, but if we do not test our own boundaries, how do we continue to grow?" Tran said, he stretched out happily, closing his eyes, waiting for an answer

Railing maneuvered his horses as the came continjed, so that they would back the other up, throwing his bishops into the ring as well. "An interesting take. Perhaps it's a belief that all men should listen and take counsel from their women"

[Aristocles]

Larek went to check on the egg. As expected, it was still in place. "I am so glad our species doesn't give live birth. Can you imagine that? Spending all that time in labor?"

Orna sighed. "That isn't quite the point. I'm not trying to limit you nor am I trying to hold you back. I am simply concerned. Even as you test your boundaries, one has to still take care of oneself. While you are strong, you aren't as tough as you wish you were. No offense."

"Heh. Not sure what land that is." Kos looked up to see the two females. "Er, no offense, ladies."

"I imagine those that do live birth probably think it agonizing waiting so long for the egg to hatch" Nyx pointed out, "when do you think it will hatch?" She asked

"I know that. But why can't I simply be concerned for you?" Tran said, feeling like this was an attack on him. "I know that relaxing and things like this are essential, and when it's required, I'll participate. But why can't I just care for
You?"

"Why?" Orudence said, with a smile, putting down some food, "seems like wise advise, to listen to you wife" she chuckled, giving Sasha a soft nudge, as she put some food down as well

[Aristocles]

"It takes between four and five months. I just hope we are awake to see it and we don't wake up one morning to find our hatchling lying in a cracked egg" Larek said.

"You need to take care of yourself too, Tran. Or at least, think about yourself a bit more. Selflessness is a good thing, but even a good thing can go too far" Orna replied, gently scratching his back.

Orna than turned to Jammy. "How are his feet? Has he been keeping his claws well? You're his mother; this is the sort of stuff you should be nagging him about" Orna teased, patting Tran on the back.

"Yes, I suppose it is wise. Very wise" Kos replied, not wanting to say something he would later regret. He turned back to the chess game. "Check."

Nyx thought on that, and found it a disturbing thought. "I hadn't considered that." It wasn't something she wanted to consider, now. But it was in her head now. "I hope we are too" she said softly, "I don't want to have to wonder how long he or she would have been waiting for us, to find them"

Tran just nodded, deciding to stay silent now, knowing he couldn't possoblu change the fact that he would always put his family's needs before his own. He knew his limits, and when to submit to things like this.

"I nagged him for years, until he was grown and married you. Now, dear it's your turn." Jammy said with amusement, "his feet are fine, he's always taken care of them, since he started farming"

Prudence chuckled, and she eyed the board, watching as Railing seemed to study ever piece, before moving his King, to a more protected spot by a bishop and castle.

[Aristocles]

"Best to wake up early. My parents told me that dawn is a common time for eggs to hatch. Something about the increase in temperature makes it more likely for a hatchling who is just about ready to break his shell decide that it is time to do it" Larek replied.

"Alright, then. I think we've 'worked' on you enough, Tran. You seem to be fine" Orna replied, finishing the rubdown with a pat on his back. "Feeling any better?"

"I think we are stalemated in chess too" Kos told Railing, somewhat amused by the situation.

Nyx nodded, finding that a reasonable explanation, and they woke early in any case. "Well, no point boding on it. We can just hope" She said, giving Larek a smile.

"I feel good" Tran said, giving a stretch, and sitting up, stretching again. He smiled at Orna, "I like that you worry, but you don't have to" He said softly, "I know the importance of looking after myself, especially so I can look after you, and our children"

Railing nodded, amused "I agree, and the food is ready in any case, so lets pack up" He said, doing so.

[Aristocles]

"Speaking of rest, shall we get some ourselves?" Larek asked Nyx. "We don't need to go to sleep right away, though."

"I should hope so, Tran." Orna gave him a hug. "And thanks for being so cooperative."

-----------------

"Alright. Good game." Kos said, getting up. He put the pieces away and headed over to dinner.

Nyx nodded and smiled "rest does sound good" she said, and reassured herself one more time that the egg was safe and secure, before starting for their room

Tran returned the hug, "it makes you happy,'so it is worth it" he said to her, giving her a smile

Railimg put the chess set away, neatly where it belonged before joining the other, prudence and sasha already at the table

Larek took Nyx's hand and they went upstairs to get some rest. He changed into some more comfortable clothes, then pulled the sheets out, making room for his wife to lie down first.

Orna sighed. "The point is not my happiness, Tran. Not this time, at least. I'm trying to make you happy."

-----------------

"So, what's for dinner?" Kos asked, hungry.

Nyx crawled into bed, sitting up, for now, waiting for Larek to get in, giving a stretch, glad to be home, and comfortable.

"But you being happy makes me happy" Tran said, giving Orna a smile, "As long as you are happy, I'm happy"

"Oh, the usual" Prudence said "And, well, an old recipe from my grandmother, who was human. She has some interesting dishes. I'm sure you'll enjoy it" She smiled, settling back.

Larek climbed in, pulled himself under the covers, and gave Nyx a hug.

"Well, just take care of yourself, okay? I'm sure you will be okay, but I don't want you to get unnecessarily tired or sore" Orna said.

"Wait, what? Your grandmother was human? Oh, was some magic used?" Kos asked.

NYx returned the hug, snuggling in close against Larek, happy.

Tran nodded "I can do that" he said, hoping to reassure Orna

Prudence nodded with mild amusement, "yes, she was human. She used magic, so that she and my Grandfater could have children, I have some human uncles and aunts, as well as dracon."

[Aristocles]

Larek fell asleep, still holding his wife as he slowly closed his eyes.

"So, Jammy, what shall we do now?" Orna asked, satisfied at last that Tran was not putting too much pressure on himself.

"Interesting. You have human cousins? Are they also living in the dracon lands? Do they act like dracons? Dress like us?" Kos asked.
