I'm sure the Kobolds of Scale Home will be fine, tons of pointy sticks against large foes in tight corridors. What could go wrong?
This will be great fun no doubt.

Pretty good odds for the kobolds, the grogar females have little chance of busting in.

Bronze-Irony Age kind of setting, with no real world equivalent. Somewhere between the peak of the Greeks and the rise of Rome.

I was going to go for a Mesoamerican theme, but decided to change my civ entirely and went with this instead. Very NOT Mesoamerican.

Let me know what needs changing! Enter Zaqir! Oh, and I'm putting the colors I want to use for them on the map in code below (which you can view at this HTML color website.

Green color: [color=68b184]
Red color: [color=d93f3f]

Which looks like: Green and Red

Don't worry! You're not going to be conquered...

You're just going to be beaten up and have your lunch money stolen. Y'know, repeatedly.

EDIT: Made a couple quick edits to my NS.

God fucking dammit.
I made the Regulii as they were since I specifically wanted not to have to fight but fuck it, might as well go be militaristic as fuck then.

EDIT: I think I came off as snappier than I meant to >_>

NP. But seriously, if you're worried: Zaqir isn't a city of conquerors if it gets accepted. Compare their style of warfare to that of Viking adventurers. They might go and take someone's England every now and then, but they're way more likely to just attack shoreline provinces, loot temples, run off with some human captives, that sort of thing. I'll honestly not be trying to wipe anyone off the map.

I know. But the thing is, I made the Regulii so sexually inclined as to try and discourage people from attacking me and try to use some fucking diplomacy and yet here I am again with everyone automatically going on the warpath towards someone over something. Because in literally all the other NRPs I've been in, everyone is literally only focused on make a nation dedicated to war or industry and want to go charging in at the first sign no matter how noble they may be. Like seriously, Rome did more than just fuck barbarians with legions, Japan did more than make samurai armor and katanas and there was more to the Age of Sail than fucking pirates and colonial wars. Everyone ignores the fact that civilization has more than just guns and factory and decides that's what important about a nation instead of, I don't know, the fucking economy or the culture of it or its people. Everyone loves writing soldiers and heroes and leaders and completely forgo the average citizen or the artist or even the guy trying to start up a factory or discover something new.

Jesus fuck this got more ranty and rambly than I would have ever accepted it to be but fuck it. I guess all the cough medicines are fuckign with my head or soemthing and making me snappy. I'm going to go an cool my head for a while now. >_>

*Pretty fair rant*

I get'cha. My nation is meant to be more than just "fite," but fite is an important part of the culture. There's a reason for that, and it basically comes down to "The nations I'm playing in my other NRPs are very peaceful and I wanted a change of pace." (RIP Preservers, you will be missed.)

I mean, I guess think of how Vikings were way more than just fite. They were famous for their trade and they also loved to set up colonies all over the world. That's what I'm going for with Zaqir, but with a more "Berber Pirates" feel. That's all. People will remember them as raiders because that's what will stand out the most about any culture that raids the coasts of the known world.

It's ok clock, relax, if it makes you feel better, the Grogar will be too far busy killing each other, whoever is in the west and Prometheans to bother going the far east.

Also to mention not all gorgar are a "kill on sight" kind. Some even work as mercenaries or are just weird like that :P

Also to note when they do get the east. It'll be insignificant and in the form of small pirate bands.

Guys, that was my nonsensical rant, I didn't mean it to make people change their nations or whatever.
Wait... nevermind.

@ClocktowerEchos Not stupid, just reasonably concerned because, yeah, a lot of people DO go into NRPs with "CONQUER THE WORLD" as their principle focus.

Don't worry, I don't think either myself or Sigma are planning that.

Indeed. I don't expect Grogar to be Overlords, rather just a reoccurring, if manageable annoyance for more powerful nations. Or someone's servants.

Purely for good story telling.

I can assure you, that I don't intend to conquer the world, even if it would be hilarious to have the small, weak lizard people to rule the entire planet.
Mind you, expand far and wide is on my agenda, but avoiding conflict until provoked is my kobolds currently philosophy. I mean, they know nothing of the world outside of the area around Scale Home so their entire outlook of the world at large will be based more or less on the first people they meet.
But now I feel like I'm overthinking, or underthinking. Or both.

I was planning on have a focus on culture, and was hoping to avoid the wars that will inevitably occur in the west. I was hoping to expand, but through colonialism. Also...

I'm not criticizing, but the time you seem to be describing (300 bc) was fairly late in human history. This means this world's equivalents of Aristotle, Ptolemy, Euclid et cetera should be emerging immediately.
