Lily made her move and when her turn ended it was Max's go. Maxine knew what she was getting next thanks to Nocturnus, she then reached in to get the dual land and placed in her hand. She followed up by revealing the next card which was a Stormkirk Captain, it being a red/black card meant that Nocturnus would power up. It could be seen as it looked like the creature had gained some muscle mass like it had hit the gym and gained the effects instantly. A small smile crossed Max's face and she was fairly confident her opponent had nothing to help him this turn, well fairly certain anyway. She throws down her dual land before looking at her small hand which had about 2-3 cards in, mostly vampire creatures. Her eyes looking down at her one extra Nocturnus, Nighthawk, and one other thing. Maxine gave herself a little time to think before tapping three mana to summon Nighthawk which was a plague to many opponents due to how good it was for the cost it was.
An eerie dark spot appeared next to Maxine like the one Nocturnus was in but this one showed a figure which was Nighthawk itself. It was now her battle phase and so Max sent her Vampire Nocturnus in who was 5/4 with flying at this time thanks to her dual coloured creature. The creature Nocturnus suddenly had giant back wings appear behind it, a dark essence seemed to appear around the wings which were somewhat torn in place making it seem impossible to fly yet Nocturnus was off to attack the corpse. Strange like feathers began to litter the battlefield though they were not really feather like as it was made of darkness. The creature itself was massive and so even though it could fly it did not really move much as he sent a wave of bats towards the being who at this time tried to avoid being hit. The first swarm of bats missed him but the second swarm hit him.
The bats attacking him in any way possible, biting, scratching and even ramming him even though they were small. The corpse began to scramble a bit as if it was in pain, his arms trying to shoo the bats away. As he did his life points dropped by 5 and he would not let Maxine get away with it, for now, she would but he would make sure to do something to get back at her. The bats that plagued him soon disappeared like they never existed in the first place.
