Jie stands at 5 foot 6 and has a thin, but muscular physique. Her hair is medium length and black, and she wears it in the style of 'ox horns' when in 'costume', while wearing it down when she's off duty. Her eyes are a rather normal brown.

Items/Weapons:
While her weapons vary depending on her mission, she has a few staple weapons that come with her on every mission. Primarily her combat knife, accompanied by either a silenced M1911 pistol or a silenced Uzi sub-machine gun.

Powers:
Jie possesses two powers, her enhanced body and her control over electricity. Her enhanced body encompasses all aspects of her, she can lift up to 1,000 lbs, sprint at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour and fall from several stories with little to no injury.

Along with this, she has some control over electricity after her fight with Thor years previous. She is able to generate bursts of electricity from her hands and in turn uses this electricity in order to power up her attacks.

Weakness:
While her durability is enhanced somewhat, Jie is very much mostly human. Her durability really just extends to blunt force and the like, a bullet will still kill her if she isn't wearing proper gear.

Skills:
Jie is an expert with most forms of weaponry, be it firearm or melee. Along with this, she has knowledge of numerous fighting techniques and creeds, favouring Jeet Kune Do over most others. She is also a highly skilled operative of S.H.I.E.L.D and her time in the Toy Dolls program has taught her many different military skills and whatnot, mostly to do with covert operations. She is also apt in psychological de-programming as a result of the Toy Dolls program.

Personality:
Resourceful and determined, Jie is the perfect soldier. While on mission, she will often take the role of leader when with a squad, especially since her appointment with S.H.I.E.L.D. She takes her work rather seriously, and an insult to it is an insult to her, and will quickly anger her to the point of foolhardiness.

Outside of her work, Jie portrays an elegant, sweet and feminine personality, topped with a dash of fun loving and cheerfulness.

Origin:
The 玩具公仔 or 'Toy Doll' program was a set of experiments devised by an underground Chinese organisation by the name of 'The Poison Tail'. The program was solely subjected onto infant girls, most of which were taken on the night of their birth. Many of the infants were taken on the same night, the 28th of December, and the surviving members of the Toy Doll program were all born on this day.

The program was headed by Dr. Sibo Liu and was overseen by him until his eventual death during the escape of the Toy Dolls. The Toy Dolls were injected at birth with various experimental toxins and chemicals, and were subjected to a rigorous training regime throughout their lives within the program. The reason for the programs creation is unknown, but many theorize they were to be used for political and corporate assassination, along with being rented out as assassins for hire.

While the Toy Dolls escaped the facility, many conspiracy theorists rumour that The Poison Tail have begun operating once again and the former Toy Doll, Golden Star has gone public in saying that she is tracking and hunting down this new resurgence to the best of her ability.

Background history:
Jie was born on the 28th of December to a family of farmers, she was destined to grow up in her parents footsteps and take over the farm for them when they were too old to work on it. She was born as a twin, with her sister being only a minute or so younger than her. Unfortunately, the sisters never even got to see their parents properly, let alone the farm before they were snatched away by 'The Poison Tail'.

The Poison Tail were a set of organisations who came together to build a secret underground facility for the creation and training of a set of assassins. These assassins were named the 'Toy Dolls' for their gender, and the way that their hair was styled into Ox Buns. Roughly around 50 infants were snatched from multiple countries across the world, with the majority being taken from Chinese hospitals.

The girls grew up in very secluded lives. They only ever interacted with 4 or 5 other Toy Dolls when not doing training or a simulation, and their knowledge of the outside world was limited to the books, technology and weaponry they were forced to learn how to utilize. Occasionally they would be treated to a movie or even a full season of a television show if they were lucky, but these events were few and far between.

Nevertheless, the Toy Dolls formed a sisterly bond between each other and became the best of friends through their strife within the facility. For the first 6 or so years of the Toy Dolls lives, they were treated rather well, but this quickly changed when they had all turned 7. Psychological torture and beatings began becoming commonplace in order to stop them from cracking under pressure or torture. Disobeying a direct order could result in weeks of solitary confinement and many died during the first year of this treatment.

The few who survived began becoming battle hardened machines, their powers came to fruition and The Poison Tail began hiring out super villain contractors to help train these powers. By the time they were 14, the Toy Doll project was almost complete, and they were becoming more and more brainwashed into becoming the assassins The Poison Tail had always wanted them to be.

Unfortunately, Jie wasn't one to crack under that sort of pressure. She had always kept a firm grasp on her humanity and began turning the other Toy Dolls back into their former selves as time went on. They devised a plan to break free of the facility during their weapons training course and put the plan into action as soon as possible. The plan went extremely smoothly, with the only death being that of the head researcher, Dr. Sibo Liu.

The girls escaped the facility and travelled as a troupe until they were discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. They gave them the option of becoming anything they'd like, essentially setting them up with any job or life they could ever dream of. Many of the girls wished for a normal life, and got what they wished, Jie, however wished to be a superhero. Nick Fury was never one to break his promises and set Jie up in a training program in her home country of China.

She became a proper hero by the time she turned 18, and went by the alias of 'Golden Star', an homage to her home country's flag. She became extremely well known within China for her crime stopping ways, battling normal criminal and super villain alike in the quest for peace. Recently she has moved to America, as per the request of S.H.I.E.L.D, in order to help combat some of the more dangerous villains there.

Physical Description:

5'10" barefoot or in costume, 6' in shoes. 167 with a gymnast build, in regular clothes, he tends to wear thicker or quilted clothing to make himself look 'pudgy'. He dyes his hair red from the usual brown and wears special full-eye contact lenses as well as tinted glasses almost constantly to hide his mutated eyes from not always tracing with his actual eye movements. A slipped lens tends to make him look wall eyed or a blown blood vessel as the case may be.

Powers

Generally enhanced physiology
Spider-Man's overall metabolic efficiency has been greatly increased, and the composition of his skeleton, connective tissues, muscles, and nervous system have all been enhanced. Originally, Peter Parker wore glasses, but after the awakening of his mutant powers, his vision became 20/10 at the cost of being permanently changed, allowing him to see perfectly after his spectacles were broken by the push into the street. He is capable of healing injuries faster and more extensively than ordinary humans, including injuries as severe as SET broken bones within a matter of hours. During a battle with a villain he was rendered completely blind. However, during a visit to an eye specialist, it is revealed that he was already healing only hours later. After about two days, Spider-Man's 20/10 vision is restored, although his eyes are sensitive for about a day after, shown when a camera flashed a bright light in his face. Afterwards, his eyes are completely healed. However, Spider-Man's healing factor has not been depicted as being anywhere near as rapid as that of Wolverine or The Hulk, in as much as he has suffered life-threatening injuries that would not have endangered those other superhumans.
His accelerated metabolism increases his tolerance to drugs, meaning a larger dose is needed to cause the usual effect, and he can recover from the effects rapidly. During an encounter at a bee farm Spider-Man is incapacitated by thousands of bee stings, but fully recovers in less than 24 hours. His resistance to other toxins varies, but is typically significantly higher than normal. However, he has normal human tolerance to the effects of alcoholic beverages and is rarely shown drinking, since it affects his balance, reflexes and coordination. In one battle, he nearly loses his life after unknowingly consuming spiked punch at a party. Although he is still affected by disease and infection, his recovery time is typically shorter than that of an ordinary human. His unique physiology could even allow him to recover from the effects of vampirism.
Spider-Man is still vulnerable to disease and has fallen ill due to flu many times; which affects the reliability of his powers. He also has certain susceptibility towards ethyl chloride, which is a commonly used pesticide against insects and arachnids.

Wall-crawling
Spider-Man is capable of crawling on walls and ceilings. He has conscious control over this ability, and it is simple and instinctive for him to use. Originally, Spider-Man is able to stick to surfaces using only his hands and feet, but with training he is shown to be able to cling with his back. The strength of attraction between himself and the surface he is clinging to is considerable, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. If Spider-Man does not willingly detach, but is pulled off by force, the surface usually breaks, still attached to his body. However, it has been shown that a significant shock can cause him to lose control of his power and fall off a surface. If a surface is too slippery, he has problems sticking to it; if it is too fragile or crumbling, it is unable to support his weight. He can also use his clinging ability to lift or hold objects; for instance, he can catch a thrown ball simply by touching it with one fingertip. Spider-Man is also able to jump and sprint against a wall which helps him climb surfaces a lot faster.
The ability works through thin layers of cloth, such as the fabric of his costume, but not through materials such as the soles of shoes. When he needs to crawl without changing into the costume, he removes his shoes first.

Enhanced strength and durability
Early in his career, Spider-Man was frequently said to have the proportional strength of a spider, but he can lift much more due to his human size and physical build, up to 10 tons. He has been shown to lift and throw objects such as a tank and a semi-truck and to bend the steel of a screwdriver with one finger with ease. When in combat, Spider-Man must pull his punches unless fighting someone of similar or greater durability and power. Otherwise, his blows would kill a normal person.
Spider-Man's bodily tissue is a great deal more durable and resistant to some types of injury than a normal human (for example, a regular villain punched Spider-Man and broke his wrist). However, Spider-Man is far from invulnerable. While his body is tougher than an ordinary human, he can still be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human. For example, Spider-Man can be injured by bullets or knives composed of conventional material and from impacts of sufficient force. However, if injured, his accelerated metabolism is capable of repairing itself many times faster than an ordinary human. A doctor has told Spider-Man that it would be impossible for a normal man to survive the punishment that he has endured.
Spider-Man can leap several stories vertically or the width of a city street. While his running speed has never been definitely established, he can run at superhuman speed for short sprints and has been shown to be easily capable of overtaking fast-moving cars, but nearly always prefers using his weblines to travel.

Spider sense
Spider-Man's "spider-sense" manifests in a tingling feeling at the base of his skull, alerting him to personal danger in proportion to the severity of that danger. For instance, a little tingling such as a happenstance passing by of an enemy would prompt Peter to be alert, while a strong tingling, sometimes to the point of being painful, is interpreted as a need to take immediate evasive action on a deadly threat. It appears to be a simultaneous, seemingly clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena. Though the exact mechanism of this ability is unknown, his spider-sense clearly has at least two aspects in addition to sensing potential or immediate danger:
A psychological awareness of his surroundings, similar to the radar-sense of Daredevil. When he is temporarily blinded, he can emulate this ability and navigate without his eyesight. Even under normal conditions, his spider-sense helps him navigate supernaturally darkened rooms or places with strobing light, instinctively avoiding obstacles or hazards, or potentially noisy or unstable floorboards, walls or ceilings that may betray his presence.
Using his spider-sense to time his enhanced reflexes, Spider-Man can casually dodge attacks up to and including automatic-weapons fire. Even point blank, his spider-sense has already warned him in enough time to get away like a precognitive sense, before he can even consciously think about his actions. However, he can ignore this instinct. His spider-sense is sufficiently well-linked to his reflexes, that a threat can trigger them even when Spider-Man is asleep or stunned but not outright unconscious.
When Spider-Man swings across a city on his weblines, his spider-sense guides his aim, allowing him to travel at high speeds hundreds of feet above street level with minimal concentration, confident his weblines will find secure anchor points.
Spider-Man's spider-sense is directional and can guide him to or away from hidden weapons and disguised enemies. Sudden and extreme threats can cause his spider-sense to react with painful intensity.
Spider-Man can also sense and dodge attacks directed randomly or by a computer. His spider-sense has helped him preserve his secret identity since it alerts him to observers or cameras when changing into or out of his costume. The spider-sense does not react to those whom Peter does not consider a threat, such as Aunt May. Contrary to this, his spider-sense has warned him of people close to him when he does not wish to be seen, such as when he's partly in costume.
Spider-Man can choose to ignore his spider-sense, and distraction or fatigue can force unawareness. Broad spectrum radio transmitters that fire on all frequencies create fog/static/white noise that can impair his ability to react to unknown dangers.

Sense perceptions
Spider-Man's five primary senses are above average perception, though not superhuman, as a result of his spider powers. He can feel vibrations and currents in the air or in his web lines, much like a real spider.

Arthropod communication
He can mentally communicate with arthropods (at least insects and spiders), though he does not seem to be capable of controlling them like Ant-Man. He can sense their presence, or glance at any spider and instantly know what kind it is. It is possible that this is an extension of his spider-sense.

Biological webbing
At the onset of his mutations as a teenager, he developed the ability to shoot organic webbing from his wrists. it possesses an amazing tensile strength equivalent to 120 lb (54 kg) per square millimeter in cross-section and is comparable to nylon with extraordinary adhesive properties. Its exact composition is unknown, but after about an hour, the webbing breaks down, loses strength and eventually evaporates. In order to replace the lost nutrients from the web expulsion, he consumes nearly one hundred times the protein of an average human (5000 grams) Which averages to ten pounds of protein daily. (An average spider produces 65 yards of silk a day. The largest spider by weight is 6oz, Pietro is 440 times the weight of the largest spider, 440 X 65= 28,600 Yards of silk a day or an average of 1200 yards of silk an hour)

Arachnid physiology
His eyes are naturally all red and take up the entirety of his eye socket rather than pupil/iris/sclera, these mutated eyes provide him with night vision. The stingers are made of keratin rather than bone within his forearms and protrude from over the top of his wrists when he extends them (like baraka from mortal Kombat). The stinger only extends as long as his middle finger across the back of his hand to prevent from overextending and being broken off but grow back as fast as nails or hair if it does happen, this couples with his healing factor tends to mean by the next day. They are coated in a neurotoxic venom that inflicts temporary paralysis, though the impalement itself can prove fatal. If you have a central nervous system, you are capable of being subject to the venom.

Superhuman reflexes and agility
Spider-Man's agility and reflexes are far superior to those of an ordinary human, even those that represent the peak of human conditioning such as Captain America. The speed of his reflexes combined with his spider-sense allows him to dodge almost any attack, even gunfire at point blank.
Spider-Man has the ability to maintain his equilibrium on any surface that he can stick to. For example, he can balance on one finger on a high wire, or stand upright on a wall, his body parallel to the ground. Additionally, he is able to flex his body like a contortionist, assuming postures that would be impossible or harmful for most normal humans. His tendons and connective tissues are at least twice as elastic as the average human being's. This ability is often demonstrated by the unusual poses Spider-Man would assume while webslinging or dodging enemy attacks. Also, as an outcome of his spider-reflexes, Peter has developed his own fighting style.

Skills
Fighting style
Spider-Man has developed a unique fighting style that is difficult for most other heroes to emulate or for most villains to defeat. Spider-Man uses all of his powers simultaneously to overpower and overwhelm his foes. He also makes excellent use of his surroundings during battles. For example, he uses a webbed-up fire extinguisher as a projectile in order to get distance between himself juggernauts crushing arms. He is also never without a witty response or wisecrack to throw at an enemy in order to distract, anger, or simply insult a foe. His fighting style can best be described as an improvisational freestyle that functionally encompasses the usage of his strength, speed, flexibility, wits, intelligence, and his "spider-sense". With this combination of his acrobatic abilities, the use of his webbing and his surroundings, he can easily work his strengths against his opponents' weaknesses.
Spider-Man devised his own unique variant of kung-fu with capoeria and parkour overtones aptly named "The Way of The Spider". This style has significantly improved his existing fighting prowess when combined with his new martial art, now allows him to react and fight his enemies with training and skill rather than with random attacks.

Scientific knowledge
Before the Mutation, Peter Parker was already a gifted academic student with considerable expertise in many fields, such as chemistry, biology, physics, and engineering. With these skills, he was able to experiment with his web fluid, create mechanical web-shooters and other Spider-Man equipment. His scientific knowledge has often been used to defeat his adversaries when his powers are insufficient, such as creating various mixtures to dissolve the costumes of foes such as the Rhino and El Dorado. Academically gifted, with a recorded IQ of 250, Peter displays an uncanny affinity for applied science, mathematics, mechanics, biology, and physics. He is a brilliant individual, with exceptional skill in practically every field of science, and an excellent inventor. He is an accomplished chemist and physicist. This has in part of great help of living at a college-grade school with nearly limitless resources for the last twenty years.

Items & Weapons

Not to rely solely on his mutant powers, he also has been building on his genius intellect to not only create his own devices but to reverse engineer or incorporate defeated villains equipment into his own gear as well, rather than turn them over to the police.

Mechanical Web-Shooters:
In addition to his own standard organic webbing, he has been experimenting with the potential of his own webbing for decades. When not in costume, he wears harvesting devices on his forearms that collect his web fluid and paralytic toxin in a nitrogen filled 'vacuum' to prevent oxygenation. When in costume, he keeps a supply of webbing with a mechanical release either for when his own glands run out or to make use of specialty webbing as the situation demands.
Each cartridge is comparable to a standard 12 gram Co2 capsule and contains 6 liters of fluid stretched and woven into roughly 6000 feet of 1/4" webbing (about 600 ten foot 'shots' or 60 hundred foot "swings").
Each cartridge takes 5 hours of no incident to harvest, 4 capsules a day, 5 a day of high food intake.

Some of these modifications include:
*Non-conductive webbing (typically for dealing with electrical opponents or loose wire/3rd rail threats),
*Flame-retardant webbing (against Fire-based opponents or out-of-control fires),
*Stronger (yet much less stable) webbing for dealing with super-strong enemies, It lasts 60 seconds instead of 60 minutes
*Acid webbing that can eat through tough organic tissue like other physically super durable mutants.
*Highly conductive webs to use electrical currents like a taser and make an electrified web.
*Flash webs that ignite like a road flare after exposure to air for a few seconds to blind the enemy
*Magnetic webbing, which is used to interfere or cancel out radio or remote-control frequencies.

In addition, he has harvested his paralytic venom and set them to small injection darts he can fire with the same accuracy as his web shooters.

His costume itself is a weaving of his webbing with specific controlled exposures in order to not only prevent the breakdown, but also leave him with a bulletproof and non-conductive body armor. This time consuming process is one that can only be performed in lab conditions and so is not common for him to whip up a new suit on the fly. He has also taken the time to make a fire-proof suit as well, but keeps that to the side as a known situational occurrence.

Spider-tracers:
After too many villains getting away, he came up with small electronic "spider-tracers" of his own design that allow him to track objects or individuals. Typically, he plants one on a departing enemy, or throws one to adhere to an escaping enemy and then follows the target to their hideout for later attack. Spider-Man sometimes also uses a launching device in his web-shooters for better range and accuracy.
A tracer's outer casing is shaped like a spider, with legs for aerodynamic flight with listening devices to broadcast to a reciever for evidence collection and GPS. The tracers are small enough to remain unnoticed, in general, but sometimes a target finds a tracer and destroys it. Currently he uses a small electronic receiver to follow the signals of his tracers rather than cue it to his spider sense as he does not want it to interfere as 'white noise' in a dangerous situation.

Utility belt and Camera
In combat he keeps his regular field equipment in a utility belt that can carry extra web fluid cartridges, spider-tracers, and his camera. The belt can hold up to 30 cartridges, each one being pressured to 300 psi. The belt's buckle contains a small but powerful light, which is filtered through a lens decorated with a stylized likeness of Spider-Man's mask and has a UV light setting for forensic analysis(and vampires). This spider-signal is mostly limited to intimidating weak-nerved criminals and acting as a wide-beam flashlight, it is sometimes used to call for help as well or leave a marker behind if he has to scout ahead.

Web Grenade(player invention)
26 web cartridges arranged in 45 degree increments in a radial sphere releasing 156 liters of web fluid in every direction. This is another one of those resource consuming devices due to the number of cartridges needed (it takes 1 week worth of webbing for enough cartridges to make each grenade.)

Acquired tech
After recently defeating shocker, he is currently exploring how to introduce this new tech into the next suit design. This might be where he actually introduces a web pattern into the costume to replicate the shockers suit ability to disperse the backlashed energy.

Personality:
While not loosing his uncle in this reality to a gunman, his separation from his biological family and the goals of his new family have taught him that "With great power, comes great responsibility" all the same. Like most mutants, he has a terrible identity problem and a constant fear of further mutation. For all his powers, he possesses a marked inferiority complex, and a fear of relationships yet yearns for romantic companionship. He is at times anti-social, racked with guilt, and a functioning neurotic. Agonizing over his choices, always attempting to do right.

Origin:

Imagine the following:
A nerdy teenage boy with a proclivity to collecting bugs (made worse by an aunt who's life in the Philippines makes eating bugs a commonplace in the house) gets pushed by a bully. Meant to simply fall into a puddle, he instead falls into New York traffic. This is when his mutant power activates.

At this point he could merely leap over the truck and stick to the wall, it is possible he would lift the truck over his head, he might even fire organic webbing and snare the truck before it hits. Instead, he is hit by the truck and killed. At least that is what everyone was made to believe.

The bully will forever think he killed someone with his childish actions and spend the rest of his life in atonement. Ben and May will mourn the loss of their nephew, but take a subconscious comfort they can not explain. As for peter, he spent the last twenty years as an an X-man!

Background history:
Parker is a family name of English origin, derived from Old French with the meaning "keeper of the park". "Parker" was also a nickname given to gamekeepers in medieval England. It is the 48th-most common surname in England. Within the United States, it is ranked as the 47th-most common surname.
The story begins in 1602 with Peter Parquagh Who was bitten by an enspelled spider and turned an English agent of the crown into something much much more. While he was killed, his bloodline would live on in his children who would carry the same powers and responsibility. For 400 years there have been people of his bloodline, some embraced the facts, others hid them away. For some it skipped a generation, for others, it skipped three generations.

One of the 'first five' all those years ago (potentially replacing Beast). He was selected to be part of something greater than himself with his brilliant scientific mind and superhuman physiology making him an invaluable addition to the x-men.

The first years were spent training while at the same time doing what they could to save those in danger and build upon the mutant name as a force for good. Rescuing kittens, burning buildings, car accidents. But for all the good the x-men did, there were others smearing the mutant name.

With magneto's micro manipulation of magnetic metals, the scientific endeavors grew in leaps and bounds in nearly every field. Every microscope they made made it even easier to control ever thinner wires down to the width of human hairs From there he was able to align the poles on a molecular level to make every thread superconductive. It was only with these innovations that he managed to invent mechanical harvesters and launchers for his webbing. What started as a shotgun holding blobs of webbing has been refined to the forearm mounted web-shooters he uses today, not to say that he hasn't been improving on 'heavy duty' designs for when the situation calls for it.

A dark day came when the x-men met one who would be their greatest nemesis, En Sabah Nur, Apocalypse. The x-men did well and foiled the plans to force mutations on those of latent genes who would never have manifested otherwise. But it came with a cost, Peter got injected with the latentcy virus and experienced horrific secondary mutations, his eyes turned large and red as he grew stingers out of his forearms while he became quite hairy. Not as bad as windego or sasquatch, but definitely time to take shaving lessons from Wolverine.

Items/Weapons: Board doubles as a melee weapon.

Skills: Military experience and training, focused on hand-to-hand combat. An excellent grasp of tactics and an strong sense of empathy.

Powers: Imbued with the Power Cosmic, the Surfer is capable of feats of power that are difficult to quantify. Due to his military background, this power is usually manifested in increased strength and primal unfocused blasts of energy. In addition, the Surfer's body is hardened and contained by his power, allowing him to function as normal in the unpredictable reaches of the universe.

Personality: The Surfer is an old soul in a young body and lives for his duty which, in turn, has left him a shell of a man. Cold and seemingly emotionless, his extended lifespan has left him viewing the cosmos with a growing sense of guilt and melancholy. Deeply honourable and crushed with remorse for the actions he has performed in his master's name. When on a planet the Surfer has an attitude of unyielding care. Knowing that any great expression of his power, while a fraction of his master's, would be more than capable of causing severe destruction to innocents around him; the Surfer maintains a stoic, almost pacifistic response to threats and violence. This can cause him to become almost a liability in a team situation, his former leadership and self-belief has been buried by decades of service to his master and so he follows a strong authority with almost grateful ease.

Weaknesses: The Surfer is majestically depowered in comparison to his usual power levels. He maintains a portion of the power cosmic within his body and his board but is no stronger than any being with super strength. In addition, the use of the power cosmic visibly drains the Surfer and he must wait for his abilities to recharge before expending them again.

Background history: Steve Rogers was born in the Great Depression in the United States. Growing up, he was bullied and picked on regularly by those around him for his short stature and underdeveloped muscles. Despite this, Steve never lost his fighting spirit and his love for humanity. At the outbreak of the Second World War Steve, like many young men his age, attempted to sign up as a soldier but was pronounced 'unfit for duty' by the many recruitment centres he visited. A chance of fate led to Steve meeting a Doctor Erskine and being chosen for the 'Super Soldier Programme', upon receiving treatments as part of the programme Steve found his body augmented to a superhuman level. His strength was many times that of an ordinary soldier, his reflexes were increased and his tactical senses were tested and pronounced at almost genius levels. Unfortunately Erskine mysteriously died shortly after Steve's tests and so the process could never be repeated leaving Rogers to be co-opted by the Allied armed forces.

Dubbed 'Super Soldier' by his fellow squad-mates, Steve soon became indispensable to the Allied war effort. He was responsible for single-handedly winning engagements and completing objectives that many thought impossible. Towards the end of the war Rogers was sent to the Arctic as part of a special taskforce to investigate strange and unclear readings. When they arrived on location the task-force witnessed technology that could only be described as 'inhuman' being assembled by an impossibly giant figure who could not be identified. Rogers ensured his team would remain back and went to confront the figure. Minutes later the figure, its machinery and Steve were gone.

Steve had been transported away from Earth and into the cosmos. The figure (who Steve found out later called itself 'Galactus) informed Steve that his life was over. Galactus had identified Steve as an aberration in humanity's evolution and had engineered Erskine's death to ensure no one would be able to recreate him. Steve was then given a choice, to be removed from existence, or to serve as Galactus' herald and find planets for the cosmic being to consume. Theorising that eventually he would be able to find a way to return home, Steve agreed.

Steve was then augmented further by Galactus, imbued with a higher cosmic power which caused him to lose his hair and his skin to bleach, later taking on a silver aura. His strength was greatly augmented further and he could function as normal in the vacuum of space.
Dubbed 'The Surfer' by Galactus, the former soldier was given a conveyance in the form of a silver board. With the power Cosmic, the board proved as malleable as it was needed to be.

Since then, the Surfer has performed his task diligently, conveying his master to worlds for consumption. Although he endeavours to provide his master with uninhabited worlds this is not always possible and, with the death of every inhabited world, his guilt and sorrow at his situation increases.

Origin:
-Wayde wilson became deadpool after being in the weapons X program. In this version though, he never got cancer and he never met his girlfriend. I recommend reading the backstory first.
Wayde didn't even encompass any type of heart or vigilante persona until after the weapons x program. In the program he was a specialty soldier along side a few others. Some of whom were mutants. These mutants seemed to inspire one of doctors to try something new. They saved some blood and serums from some of the members and decided to start creating their own mutants. During this time The weapons X program was being used less and less until it was disbanded. The other members left, but Wayde was held back. Basically convincing him that they could make him better. They created a fake cancer situation so that he would go along with it.
They then began their testing. Injecting Wayde with multiple doses of mutant blood and serum then experimenting on him. Same with the others trapped there as well. The original doctor had gathered others to help creating a whole underground secret lab, having multiple 'patients' and seeing how they could create their own superhuman creations. With the idea to secretly sell these people to the highest bidders. Being the twisted individuals they were they would bet on which patient would die and which ones would survive calling it their deadpool.
Wayde managed to escape after becoming a human mutant and eventually became the mercenary for hire that avoids being apart of any team, but helps if they really need it. Often being seen bothering the X-men and other groups without actually being a part of any team. He is the extreme wild card in red. He still does hit man for hire type jobs, but finds he enjoys bothering the superheroes.

Background history:
-Wayde was born to a normal family in a normal place with normal jobs, nothing significant there. He was smart, but not genius level, did okay in school, graduated at a normal time etc. He joined the military where they saw his extreme abilities with katanas. With what seemed to be super human reflexes allowing him to be able to slice through bullets and react to similar situations to others with extreme ease. Seeing this, he was put into a specialty program of the weapons X, where the kept him fine for awhile sending him and a group of others to do specialty missions. Things were going fine, until one of the doctors decided to take advantage of some of the mutant testing happening. The weapons X program was disbanded after awhile, however Wayde never went home. They managed to keep him..where they proceeded to mutate him. He became a mutant human due to this testing, but managed to escape. Luckily he managed to do so before he went too crazy from testing and tried to fit in. He became a hitman for hire being extremely efficient. Finding this as his calling he would go from place to place taking care of various jobs. Eventually he realized he should become a little bit more and developed himself as Deadpool. The name coming from the labs where they would bet on which patient would die.

Physical Description: Light is a 1.9 meter tall white humanoid figure. Her head is a large spherical shape with no nose, very large black and orange eyes(Demon lense type), short blue hair, fin like ears, and a very very skinny neck. She has a noticeable hourglass shape to her due to her hips and chest. She has skinny biceps with large forearms and hands with spike-like fingers. She wears a white dress with blue trim and a blue tanktop, the dress having an 'M' cut pattern in the front to reveal her legs, which look normal besides the bottom leg ending at a sharp point where her foot should be. Light has very little muscle mass and only tone muscles instead of well defined muscles.

Personality: Light is intelligent, observant, playful, honest, and very easygoing, sometimes making her seem naive. She tends to play with her opponents more than fight them, although making her angry will lead to, as she puts it, a "Bad Time". And you really wont like what happens when she wants to give you a 'bad time'.

Origin: Light is a being from the Void, drawing more and more energy from it depending on her anger which drastically increases her already impressive strength and endurance. However her appearance and touch is often seen as off putting, meaning that while she likes to play with others, she is often deprived of any sort of intimacy or friendship.

Powers:

Anger - It should be noted that all of Light's pwoers increase if she is angry, increasing proportionate to her anger.

Unlimited Strength - Light has an incredible amount of strength, which only increases as she gets angrier. There is no limit to her strength, its limit only dictated by her anger.
Super Endurance/Stamina - Light has incredible endurance, which only increases as she gets angrier.
Near Invulnerability - Light is incredibly durable, only getting more durable as she gets angrier.
Regenerative Healing Factor - While incredibly durable, Light also has a healing factor that allows her to regenerate damaged or missing limbs or organs. While not as fast as say, Wolverine or Deadpool, it is still combat viable. Rate increases with anger. Can nullify effects that inhibit healing factor if angry enough. Also makes her immune to disease.
Reactive Adaptation - Light can adapt her body to survive in any dangerous environment including space, short of cosmic environments. The rate of adaptation is dictated by her anger.
Enhanced Speed - While it doesn't increase as sharply as her other abilities do due to anger, Light does have some modicum of enhanced speed, but usually not enough to out speed other faster heroes unless she is supercharged or so angry that your probably going to get oneshotted if she punches you.
Psionic Resistance - Light has some form of psionic resistance, or at least enough to not be incapacitated or rendered braindead. This increases with her anger, and with enough anger, she can eventually become nearly immune to psionic attacks outright.
Void Energy - Light is powered by Void energy, or the energy of entropy. As such, her energy can't be used to power objects and gives her a small amount of energy resistance and drastically reduces the duration of magical enchantments placed upon her. If Light's energy is forced to build up while she isn't angry, Light will eventually let out an implosion of Void energy, draining all nearby devices or sources of power and weakening organics. Light often creeps out whoever she is touching. The amount of Void energy she emits increases with her anger.

Complicated. The Tuatha De Denann were once mortals who ascended to godhood via the grace of the fair folk and their affinity with Mother Earth. While they did once manifest in the mortal realm, they have since retreated to fairy, the home of the fair folk. As a land beyond the normal rules of time, it’s hard to say how much time has past for them since they walked the earth. Suffice it to say that it has been more than 200 years of our time since one of their number was seen and more than 2500 since Taranis and the rest of the pantheon became gods.

Physical Description:
Standing at more than two metres in height and built like bear, Taranis is a giant among men. His skin is worn and as pale as milk, occasionally dappled with freckles but more frequently with old scars. He has a wild, untamed beard with a consistency more common in gorse bushes than facial hair and a mane of hair to match. Around his neck is a Torc of corroded metal. It probably once had some form of design on it, perhaps a snake head or dragon, but time has worn it into a plain band. On his chest is faded tattoo of a wheel that once symbolised his role as a god of travel and exploitation, now rendered a little obsolete by the invention of the aeroplane.

Taranis wears a pair of trousers of rough wool, stained with the grime of centuries. In the most sever of weather, he also wears a brown cloak. True to his feral, druidic nature, he never wears any form of foot ware and his soles have therefore developed the texture and thickness of old leather.His face is worn by weather and time but not by ill temper. He has deep smile lines under his beard and his face is frequently split by a grin or creased in raucous laughter. His eyes are deep and black, occasionally flashes of white rearing and vanishing in the depths. Taranis’s voice is deep and earthy, bringing to mind the smoke of an open fire and taste of dark beer.

Powers:
Taranis’s flesh, bones and muscles are many times as dense as any humans, allowing him to take punishment enough to slay any hundred mortals. His strength too is vastly superior, easily enough to tear down a fortress and rip apart its inhabitants. He can use to winds to bear himself aloft and fly from place to place, but with more of the essence of the wind blown leaf than the soaring eagle. With much more skill, he can direct storms and hurl lightning. For the most part though, he doesn’t interfere with the natural course of meteorological events, letting Mother Earth’s systems do their work. A sure sign of things being dire is when Taranis begins summoning the storm to hi side. As one of the Tuatha De Danann, the mortals made gods, he is unageing and will not be struck down by disease or infection, his life ending only in combat. As well as that, his status as one of Mother Earth’s chosen gives him some sway in the animal kingdom. Beasts tend to act deferentially to him and plants will gladly bend to let him pass or give him shelter, despite him no longer being a mortal druid. Finally, a gift from Mother Earth, Taranis hears all tongues as his own and can be understood by all that stand upon her soil.

Abilities:
As a mortal, Taranis trained as a druid first and a sailor second. Of his grove, he was trusted to spread their teachings from the shelter of the British Isles (then a series of warring and disparate factions) to the mainland of Europe (then an even more chaotic group of warring and disparate factions). As such, he knows much herblore and medicine, though most of both have been rendered obsolete by modern advances, as well as how to communicate with Mother Earth and interpret her wishes. The boats of his day were a very different affair from those we have now but Taranis can still make himself useful at sea, especially when it comes to predicting storms; they come when someone has seriously pissed him off. He is also trained as a warrior, using the short swords of Celtic Britain. Similar in length and style of use to Roman Gladiuses, they have a stabbing point and a flared edge for hacking and slicing. The style most Celts employed was to batter the opponent into submission, moving too fast to be hit and burying their opponent in agile attacks. As almost no Celts could afford armour, it was that or wait around to get stabbed. Thus, Taranis’s style of swordsmanship is an all out assault with nothing held back for defence, a particularly deadly tactic given his extreme strength. He prefers not to have to use weapons though, favouring his fists and feet as weapons. When fighting unarmed, he brawls like you would expect a man of his strength to; punching hard, pulling people into crushing holds and throwing them through walls or into the air.

Weaknesses:
Taranis’s weaknesses are not psychical, but tactical. As a god and a warrior, he can have few mortal rivals. But his godhood is not an unchangeable aspect of his being. He is only a god through the grace of Mother Earth and unageing through the generosity of the fair folk. Without their blessings, Taranis would be no more than a man a long, long way out of his time. A man, it’s worth mentioning, whose immune system has not developed any immunities to modern pathogens or diseases. However, the sever the connection between Taranis and Mother Earth would be very, very difficult. As one of her champions, he lives for no other purpose but to serve her will. To break the bond between them would require him to do sometime unforgivable, such as damage the natural world enough that it will take a millennia to heal. His immortality, gifted by the fair folk is part of a deal between Mother Eart and the fae, would disappear along with his godly powers.

Items/Weapons:
Taranis takes one weapon with him wherever he goes; a sword named Caledfwlch (Caled-Wulch with a Scottish ch) or, to give it its more common name, Excalibur. When the druids were being hunted from the Earth, Taranis reclaimed this ancient and revered sword. He vowed to return to humanity’s greatest hero when he returned to Earth. Mother Earth approved of this, hoping that the removal of one of her greatest gifts would make humans see the folly in hunting down her chosen servants. As it was, Excalibur proved too entrenched in the human consciousness to disappear completely and, though history, several copies appeared. They were wielded by great men and did great deeds. In the end, though, the blades broke or the kingdom fell. And, in Fairy, the true sword bided its time.

And now Mother Earth, sensing the great dangers to herself and humanity in the coming years has sent Taranis back to his home to return the sword. Being more than a little tired of Fairy, he was relieved and the envy of all the Tuatha De Danann. Taranis knows that, as a god, he will never bear the sword of kings and heroes and is quite glad about that. A simple man at heart, he has never wished for great titles or mighty swords. Fists and feet are weapons enough and the responsibilities of being a god are more than enough for him. So he carries the sword with him wherever he goes, offering any that wish the chance to try and draw it. The one to draw the sword from the scabbard will be granted powers not seen since the ages of gods and heroes, enough to shatter empires and bring dynasties to their knees and will signal that Earth’s reckoning is nigh. Perhaps fortunately, no one has yet been able to even make the blade shift in its sheathe.

Personality:
A man out of his time hardly covers quite how alien Taranis’s perspective is. When last he stood upon the soil of the mortal world, Christianity was not yet a major religion. Steel had only recently begun to be used as a commonplace metal. The Roman Empire still dominated the known world. That said, Taranis is a remarkably uncomplicated man. He is strong, brave and kind, wishing nothing more than to lift loads to heavy for other and fight battles that others cannot. He knows that he is a god and immortal in a world of mortals, just as he remembers (somewhat cloudy) his own time as a mortal. Taranis is also patient, having had to deal with the capricious fae for time out of mind. Although the complexities of the modern age often elude him, he is slowly learning to grasp the different elements and nuances of this alien culture. Somethings in today’s society make him laugh and remember good days of home and hearth. His laugh is the bellow of a billowing gale, moving all in its wake. His wrath, however, comes as lightning on a summers day, sudden and terrible with no warning other than the furrowing of his brows, like twisting storm clouds.

Origin:
Along with the rest of his pantheon, the Tuatha De Danann, Taranis was once a mortal man, a druid who was beloved of Mother Earth. In an event that has not been repeated since, he and his fellows ascended from mortality to godhood, shedding their fleshy bodies for aspects of the elements they represented. Unlike some gods, the Tuath De Danann still retain an element of mortality; they can be killed. It’s not easy, however, as they are far together than any mortal and posses formidable abilities, both magical and mundane, that dissuade all but the most determined assassins.

Some time around 200 BCE, the Tuatha De Danann retreated from this world and into Fairy, the domain of the fae. The persecution of the Druidic people dismayed Mother Earth and she sought to keep her favoured children from harm. She bade them take shelter with the fair folk and so they did. When Taranis left, he took with him the sword Caledfwlch, promising to return it one day. They left this earth and did not return until 2012 AD, when Taranis stepped out of a wood in Scotland and directly into a large tractor. It is a little difficult to say how long they perceived their exile into Fairy to be, as time there is less of an absolute and more of an opinion. Suffice it to say that each member of the pantheon is now sick of songs and stories, tired of dances and debaucheries and utterly bored of the fae. Not that they are foolish enough to say so.

Background history:
Once mortal, now god, Taranis has existed in one form or another for what we perceive to be in excess of 2500 years. When the Tuatha De Danann walked the earth and involved themselves in the affairs of men, they would lead men to be heroes and lords to be kings. Taranis believed greatly in exploration and seeking out the undrawn corners of the map, often encouraging sea faring men to take their voyages just a little further, to look just a little longer. Now, it seems, the earth is truly mapped and there is no more sideways to explore. Humanity will have to start going up and out into the stars or down and into the earth. As one Mother Earth’s champions, Taranis would much prefer them not to cut the soil and instead advocates sailing the stars.

Upon arriving back on the earthly plane, Taranis was more than a little confused, as might you be too if you accidentally skipped two and a half millennia. The trees were the same but the animals that scampered between them seemed subtly different. And, as he wandered out of the shelter of the trees, he discovered a much less subtle difference; a large, yellow JCB tractor. And in this context, ‘discovered’ means ‘was hit by’. After freeing the confused farmer from what he took to be some sort of mobile jail, Taranis stalked the local countryside in search of a lord or chief who he could get answers from. After causing something of a ruckus at a market with his command of the winds, his presence became known to SHIELD. Naturally, they dispatched an agent to apprehend him. That agent was Jie Wan, otherwise known as Goldenstar. When she arrived, she saw a barrel chested man with long, mangled hair, a dirty face, bare feet and a sword. Not unreasonably, she decided to subdue him first and ask questions later.

Only Goldenstar, Taranis and the few people with the clearance to read an executive level SHIELD mission reports know what transpired on that lonely Scottish country road but the events are far more widely known. First, the 21st century was introduced to Taranis by agents of SHIELD and he was presented to the world by the organisation’s leaders. Secondly, Goldenstar came away from the encounter with a new power. The arcs of lightning that crackle from her fingertips are, Taranis claims, a gift from Mother Earth but he seems curiously reticent and refuses to elaborate further to anyone but her.

Ryn is 5’10 with long dark brown hair that falls just past her shoulders. She has deep brown eyes that are usually filled with mirth and she’s quick to smile. She has a circular arc reactor centered on her chest. This arc reactor is smaller than the traditional Iron Man arc reactor but just as powerful. She prefers casual clothes when working in her lab and tends to have her long hair pulled back into a messy bun. Ryn does have a bit of her mother’s signature style and can quite easily go from mechanic's coveralls to a high fashion show.

Items/Weapons: Iron Maid suit.

Skills: Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience. Dabbles in programming and technology. Krav Maga experience (mostly for exercise but can definitely defend herself)

Powers: Ryn has no superpowers, other than being extremely intelligent. All her powers come from what she’s built into the suit.

Weaknesses: Ryn's hero identity is still private and she could lose her position at her company if she's outed. Her fame as a Stark is a double edged sword in this sense. Ryn is also powerless without the suit, and though she's fairly good in a normal fist fight, her human strength wouldn't be much help against powered enemies.

Personality: Ryn is fairly easy going though she can definitely be driven when working on a project or toward a goal. Ryn easily gets lost in her work and relies on Pepper to keep her from losing herself in her work completely. Other than Pepper and JARVIS, Ryn doesn’t have many true friends, she has a hard time trusting people after a lifetime of people trying to use her for her family's connections. That said, she's quite comfortable in the spotlight and often uses humor to gain the goodwill of people.

Origin: After building the first super soldier suit, Ryn realized that technology like this in the hands of governments would be too dangerous. She modified the suit to work only when powered by her arc reactor to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.

Background history: As the late in life daughter of Howard Stark, Ryn grew up hearing of her father’s exploits long after he had passed away. Ryn was primarily raised by her mother’s staff while her mother was traveling around the world promoting her fashion line. Left to her own devices, Ryn began playing in Howard’s workshop and developed a love of all things machine. She graduated high school early and set off for CalTech where she got dual doctorate degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, graduating in record time becoming one of the youngest graduates from CalTech in the university’s history.

Once Ryn graduated, she went to work for Stark Industries and happily started at the very bottom in the company, working her way up through the company until she’d earned her place in the upper echelon. Her work on the original, full sized arc reactor brought her to national attention that she’d managed to evade so far. During a press conference announcing Stark Industries new weapons program Ryn was hit in the crossfire of an assassination attempt on the CEO. Though she survived the initial assault and was released to her home she was given about a month to live due to bullet fragments working their way to her heart. Ryn immediately went to work, working day and night to create a device that could keep the fragments from piercing her heart. Thus, the mini arc reactor was born.

After installing the mini arc reactor with the help of JARVIS and Pepper, she began work on one of the government contracts that they had, for a soldier suit. Once she began work on it she realized that without a mini arc reactor that they wouldn’t work but since she had the item in question she could work up a prototype. Work on the suit has consumed her and it was only Pepper’s gentle influence and finally her outright demands and threats to quit that brought Ryn’s head out of her work.

Ryn has recently stepped up as one of the junior executives of Stark Industries and has been working on the suit on her own time after telling them that it wouldn’t work. She’s still working on the Iron Maiden suit and testing it, hasn’t quite started saving the world yet.

Avery’s hooded green eyes sit under low, thick, arched eyebrows, in an oval face, with a slight cleft in her squared chin. Her snarky attitude often finds her forehead graced by her raised right eyebrow, usually accompanying the last word in a conversation. She has full lips, a peaked cupid’s bow, and her bottom lip is unproportionately too big, curving down towards her chin. Avery has high cheek bones that are softened by her face’s roundness, but are shown when she genuinely smiles.

Her ears are quite small, prompting comments when others take notice; her nose pleasantly placed and shaped, rounded with a straight bridge, and the slightest upturn at the end. She prefers to keep her chocolate brown hair cropped short, just above her shoulders, in an angular lob style, right-side parted, often trying to work with her hair’s natural waviness to give it a ‘chic’ look. However with training, fighting, and her hair’s cowlick stubbornness, it tends to be tied up, just long enough for a short, low, ponytail.

She stands 5 feet, 7 inches, at 140lbs, and has a curvy but visibly athletic figure - think MMA fighter. Since joining the X-Men she has been able to sculpt and tone her figure. Avery has inherited pale skin that would normally be prone to sunburn, but her powers negate this, and has a whisper of freckles under her eyes.

As it was her birthplace, Avery speaks in an Australian accent. She is of Scottish decent on her mother’s side (McKay), and is possibly Irish on her father’s side, as told by her mother.

Despite needing to always have perfectly liquid-lined eyes, and an ‘ocd thing’ with her unruly hair, Avery isn’t very girly and tends to be very casual and athletic with her style. A t-shirt or tank, tight jeans, sneakers or boots, and a hoodie or leather jacket tend to be her staple pieces - preferably in blue or black - when she’s not wearing her ‘super-suit’. Her costume is a similar style to many of the other X-Men’s, although it is mostly black, with some bright blue (she adamantly requested) and yellow colour blocks down her chest and back in a V-shape. She also wears boots, an ‘X’ belt, and tends to tie her hair up. In her Magma Form, her costume is specially made to withstand the heat, and she looks like one big walking flame.

Items/Weapons: I mean, she’s got nice arms. . . .Those guns, though.

Powers:

Geokinesis: Avery can psionically control the movement of the tectonic plates within the Earth's crust within limited areas, around the radius of a few city blocks. Within this area she can create small or large earthquakes, and gaps for lava to emerge.

Pyrokinesis: She can create flames and project blasts of heat that do not contain any molten rock. She can also combined these flames with molten rock to create magma blasts which have a solid impact that can knock down a target. The highest level of heat that Avery can generate is believed to be at least 850° Fahrenheit or higher.

Geo-thermokinesis: Can psionically cause magma, or molten rock, from far beneath Earth's surface to rise up, forming miniature volcanoes. She can then telekinetically project this magma at targets.

Magma Form: When using her powers Avery’s body shines with intense light and gives off tremendous heat. Her hair seems ablaze and her eyes glow. Neither her own heat nor heat from any other known source can burn or otherwise harm her. Although Avery has triggered small earth tremors while not in her Magma Form, she has not yet mastered her full powers while in her ordinary human form. Her Magma Form, and contact with heat, as well as contact with the earth can heal her.

Skills:
Avery is very street smart and resourceful from her childhood in multiple foster homes and on the streets. She is scrappy and good with her fists, her fighting style haphazard and rough, using whatever she can get her hands on. She has a good memory, and tends to remember or get the hang of something after learning it once.

Weaknesses:
Avery's power is linked to her emotions - by losing her temper she can temporarily lose control of her powers. Which tends to be often.

Her power depends on her maintaining contact with the Earth. Prolonged distance from the Earth makes her feel ill, and she isn’t a fan of flying.

She is very stubborn and hot headed, which at best tends to get her into trouble with polite company, and at worst with her ass handed to her by a stronger opponent.

Personality:
On the surface Avery seems detached, rude, angry and sarcastic. While her life experiences have made her somewhat jaded, when she’s finally open with someone she is goofy, witty, and enjoys in depth conversations. However, it takes a while to get to this point with her, as she is very wary with others.

Has a ‘fuck you, I’ll do it myself’ sort of take when it comes to things. Quite neat and tidy, and methodical. Stubborn as hell, is driven to finish things, and can get a bit ‘tunnel visioned’. Is introverted but can’t seem to stop herself from being outspoken, blunt, and opinionated on certain matters, which gets her into trouble. Known to back talk and swear often. Her brother Peter usually has to jump in to smooth things over.

Avery is smart and resourceful, often doing whatever needed to be done for her and Peter to survive. Avery and he are very close, being the only family she has. They share a strong bond not only in family and friendship, but in their powers too - as they are able to emotionally strengthen or negate each others powers. If you’re ‘in’ with her, she will be loyal to a fault. She is used to hard work and has had many odd jobs to get by, racking up snippets of odd knowledge and skills.

Origin:
Being born a mutant, it was only a matter of time before her powers surfaced. It is suspected both her parents were elemental mutants as well. Her powers began showing soon after puberty, but were emotionally charged, sporadic, and uncontrollable. Because of her powers somewhat weak and erratic nature, she suspected but wasn’t fully aware of her mutant status until she was 16. Coming to her brothers defense in a fit of rage her powers fully emerged, burning and completely leveling the foster home they stayed in. If not stopped by her brothers own emerging hydrokinesis powers, she might have tried to level the whole neighborhood block.

Background History:
Avery was born Aug 20, in Sydney, Australia, in a rather run-down suburb on the outskirts of the city. Born 13 minutes prior to her, was her twin brother Peter, whom she is very close with.

Their father left before they were even born, and it’s hard to say whether he even knew they existed. Their mother, when not strung out on whatever blow she could get her hands on, would regale them with musings of their departed father. Although he was loved desperately by their poor mother, the information she was able to provide them was minimal at best: he enjoyed writing and traveling - which was of course why he had to leave, but would surely come back - and was a mutant like her, however somewhat more powerful then her own ability to make slushy water.

Later on in life, the twins heard rumors of a man in the Brotherhood, a man who was now dead, a man who could have possibly been their father. But, by then their time of wondering had passed.

Avery’s mother died of a broken heart and an overdose when she and her brother were 6. Wanting to finally connect with her grandchildren, and make amends with her daughter, their grandmother came forward to care for them. Avery would site the time with her grandmother as the best of her childhood. While taking care of 2 children financially was a struggle for their already burdened grandmother, she managed the best she could to provide a loving home with life’s basic essentials.

Tragedy struck however, when Avery and Peter were 12, in the form of brain cancer. Viciously attacking their once vibrant grandmother, she passed away quickly, unable to afford anything more than basic ‘comfort’ care, to possibly extend her time. The twins were now completely out of relatives, and a home.

Avery and her brother were then placed into foster care. Avery in turn sites this time in her life as her worst. Carted from foster home, to girls/boys homes, to shelters, Avery and her brother had been to them all. Often the twins were separated when placed in foster homes, leading them to constantly run away, so as to be together. But, even when they were able to be placed in a home together, their stay generally didn't last long.

While already jaded at a young age and puberty surfacing were tough enough, Avery and Peter were coming into their mutant powers, little did they know. Avery’s manifested earlier, being the hothead of the two - literally - and odd occurrences would follow them around. Lights blowing, houses shaking, other foster kids being burned, house fires, the list got longer and worse as the years went on. She wasn’t able to explain it, control it, or definitively say it was even her, but soon the twins had a reputation in the foster system that was hard to shake.

It wasn’t that she was inherently a bad child, in fact Avery had started out as a goofy, happy, insightful, and bright child - it was only now after years of life beating her down that she had become angry. Really angry. While Peter tried to be the most optimistic of the two, Avery’s anger and pessimism often got the best of her - the best of both of them in fact. Her emotions and surfacing powers cost them many fosters homes, and they were often placed in a different one every few months. That’s not to say Peter had no hand in their constant changing homes, as he too was struggling with his anger and the odd occurrences his powers created, and later his sexuality.

However, it wasn’t until their last home, that her slow build of power would become a full blown explosion. At the age of 16, Avery and her brother were placed in a home that was known for ‘getting kids into shape’, but little did the system know, or care, was that their methods were less than desirable. Furious and abusive, the Husband’s techniques to control Avery’s smart mouth and Peter’s defense of her, were more akin to Fight Club, and less to Mary Poppins’ means of parenting. The Wife, always an avid on looker to her husbands methods, was indulgent of him, while cold, distance, and an emotional terrorist to the twins.

This constant physical and mental attack was short lived however, with Avery finally having enough, her powers fully emerging in a terrifying display, after witnessing Peter being beaten for speaking out. Furious, her powers erupted the house in flames, lava bursting from the floor, a localized earthquake shaking everything around them - the constant barrage left the small home leveled by the end of it. If not stopped by her brothers own emerging hydrokinesis powers, she might have tried to level the whole neighborhood block. By sheer miracle, and her brother’s aid, their foster parents made it out of the wreckage alive.

However, the twins knew they could no longer stay there, or anywhere, and hit the streets, fending on their own for nearly a year. Approached by both the Brotherhood and the X-Men their path could have gone 2 completely different ways. Ultimately, knowing of the Brotherhoods reputation, Avery and Peter choose to accompany the X-Men to New York, thinking if nothing else they would be able to get back on their feet and start a new life. Never one to trust anyone, Avery figures if the team disappoints them like many others in their past, at least they’ll have a place to crash for a while. Her stubborn attitude is finally broken, when she finds there are real feelings of family and camaraderie between the members of the X-Men. She and Peter are able to build friendships and relationships, and decide to stay. Deep down, Avery wants to redeem herself for the things her uncontrollable powers have done, and knows helping the X-Men might be the way to do it.

Taking on the names of natural disasters, Avery and Peter (Wildfire and Tidal Wave respectively), hope they will be able to get a hold of their destructive powers, using them towards those who deserve it, to help the X-Men in the fight for good. They have stayed with the team ever since.
